Very nice and well equipped. Nice and cool weather for visiting the surrounding areas.
Had a great stay.
Thanks for visiting!
Great family getaway, driveway not for the timid
We were visiting friends who live nearby, but now with children who are 1 and 3 we need plenty of space for them and ideally, separate sleeping quarters. This house was perfect for us. Boys slept upstairs in their own rooms and we were downstairs in the master suite which has its own bathroom. The house was spotless and very well-kept. It had everything we needed (kitchen utensils, towels, etc.) without being cluttered. TV and wifi worked great. The TV is in the basement den which was cozy. It was about a 10-15 minute drive into Sylva and very close to WCU. All instructions were clearly outlined in the house binder. One thing to be cognizant of is the driveway which is very steep and has two switchbacks. We had no trouble with it in our Forester and any car should be able to make it, but it could be intimidating for some people.
Beautiful home with everything you need to have a wonderful time away. I would not want to take on the drive way in snow and ice and not a home for people with disabilities. It suited our use well as a nice area to walk, just be careful of cars on the road. Neighbors were very friendly. Close to WCU, so we could visit our daughter there. We found that our phone service worked better from the front deck. Loved our time there.
Beautiful, well organized home
Plenty of room in this home, inside and out. There is a great covered porch for lazy afternoons. The owner was quick to respond to any concerns. I would definitely rent this home again.
WCU Spring Graduation
We so much enjoyed our stay at this amazing home! Everything was so organized! The layout of the home was excellent for entertaining and the location was close to campus and stores, yet secluded, at the top of a ridge, with stunning views! We were able to get to WCU's campus for the graduation ceremony in less than 5 minutes. We loved our stay and made great memories with family and friends during our time there. In addition, we saw lots of forest creatures and beautiful vegetation, right off the front and back decks. The owners were very accommodating and made us feel at home and very comfortable. Thank you for an excellent weekend; one we will remember for years to come! You have a very beautiful home!
