We believe this is one of the best neighborhoods in Incline Village. It’s quiet, mid-elevation, terrific neighbors, lots of privacy, easy access to town but yet not in the middle of town’s hustle and bustle. Walk or snowshoe just three houses down and you’ll find yourself in 28k acres of Toiyabe National Forest! Yes, we have wild beasts that occasionally roam our neighborhood

We have two children who grew up spending warm summers and snowbound winter holidays here.

About Mike

As a salesperson I travel so this creates opportunity for others to share my home while I'm away. Growing up in San Francisco, I spent my summers at Russian River, Clear Lake and Santa Cruz. I don’t regret any of those experiences BUT Lake Tahoe, with all of the beauty and boundless activities... it can't be beat!

I enjoy snowboarding with my daughters, kayaking, swimming and even lake surfing (Sept to March – yes it is cold). I own a Vizsla named Mara, a Hungarian pointer, who absolutely loves Tahoe. I am an amateur radio nut and at 7k’ elevation I seem to always have good propagation. I also enjoy shooting and use the excellent public range in Carson where my daughter and I target practice with our rifles. If I didn’t have to work for a living… I’d be busy doing stuff all day long here!

Mike purchased this house in 2003

Why Mike chose Lake Tahoe Area

Incline Village, Lake Tahoe, is just 3 hours from Marin County or 3.5 hours from San Francisco. I can surf and snowboard in the same day!

The town offers private beaches, limited development, unlimited activities and is a perfect place for kids! I’ve been fortunate to have traveled around the world and visit some of the most beautiful places on Earth only to find that Lake Tahoe is one such place and its right in my own backyard.

What makes this house unique

If you like sun... this is the place. We have sun nearly every day! Quiet? My neighborhood is one of the finest in Lake Tahoe and with the open, wooded lot off my deck and the large trees around the property it creates a sense of privacy. My home in the winter, with the wood burning fireplace roaring, is as cozy as it gets. I love the fact I am so centrally located.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This is my 2nd stay. My kids swim in for a CA team and we attend the Carson City Intermountain Classic meet. We use this home as our base. It’s a 22 mile drive each way but it allows us to relax in a mountain/lake home for less money than it would cost to stay in a Carson City hotel! And look what we get! 4 adults and 3 kids and I highly recommend it.

Great house and location!

  • 5 of 5

The house, amenities, and location were great. Mike was very helpful in making the arrangements, and hopefully the house will be available again my next trip to Tahoe.

Owner's Response: Thanks Adam for taking the time to post your terrific review. You should come up more often... not a bad drive from SD!

Not what I expected...

  • 2 of 5

This home has a good location and is roomy, but for the summer time we were disappointed. None of the windows had screens, so we couldn't keep them open to cool down the house at night. When we did try this, a bat came in and then we spent a hour trying to get it out. The deck was covered in pollen and pinecones with no patio furniture to enjoy the cool night air or scenery. If you like firm beds, they are great.

Owner's Response: It sounds like your experience wasn't great. I'm sorry to hear that. We too had a bat fly in once but it was through the front door when the screen was open. We don't have a lot of flying insects and haven''t had this problem come up in the past regarding window screens. We will look into it.Tree pollen is pretty bad this year and accumulates quickly as you've noticed. We have picnic table and folding chairs for deck... the table is outside next to BBQ and chairs in closet.

The house provided everything you would want for your holiday.

  • 4 of 5

Nice spacious property in an excellent location, and just 10 mins drive to Diamond Peak ski area. Comfortable house providing everything that you would need. Great to have use of the garage particularly with all the snow we had! Very much enjoyed our stay.

The home was warm and welcoming. Nicely appointed and very comfortable beds.

  • 5 of 5

I would highly recommend this home for a family with kids and/or multiple families. The kitchen is nicely appointed with anything you need. The kids room is super adorable. It is also close proximity to ski resorts. Remember to drive 4 wheel drive on these roads and carry salt/kitty litter especially at night when the roads get icey. The roads are steep and can be slick.

The owner was great to work with. The home is 15 min from mount rose and even closer to diamond peak. We will stay there again for sure.

Thank you Mike!
