About the property

Private apartment on Beacon Hill

Your own first floor apartment in a charming gas lit neighborhood with all the convenience and excitement of the city at your feet. This is a one bedroom with one double/full sized bed, ideal for a single person or a couple.

Charming private apartment nestled among single family townhouses in the heart of historic Beacon Hill just steps from Charles Street. Restaurants, gourmet food shops, cafes, and art galleries are within walking distance. The historic 50 acre Boston Commons, Public Garden, The Freedom Trail, and the Boston Athenaeum are a few blocks away.

Historic Greek revival private townhouse in Boston's most desirable neighborhood. The apartment is full of art, period pieces, high ceilings, a small kitchen, one full size bed, cable TV, iHome, and wireless internet.

Ideal for a single person or a couple. There is only one double/full size real bed. Although the apartment is optimal for one or two people we have had numerous requests from families. To accommodate this we have acquired an inflatable twin size bed and a Graco Pack 'N Play portable crib.

Air conditioning and access to free laundry in the basement. The apartment is very private. You can come and go as you please. There are usually a couple of other people in the house. There are two other apartments. One upstairs and one down. You will hear people coming and going or chatting in the front hall.

The house is very quiet. No partying going on. There are no pets in the building.

Basement washing machine and dryer. No charge.

Bed linens and soft towels are provided.

Fixings for coffee and tea are included.

I'll make sure you feel welcome and right at home.

Enter through a shared main hall just a few steps up from the street. From the entrance hall you have a locked door to your own private, first floor apartment. I'll be there to greet you and show you around the apartment and answer any questions.

I work at home in an office on the first floor and I live upstairs with my family. I am usually in the building or in the neighborhood if you have any questions or need advice on where to go and what to see. I'm not a whiz with electronics but If you're having trouble with the TV remote or the a/c, I can find someone who can sort it out. I'm not even writing this myself.

Beacon Hill is a unique village in the middle of the city. The locals are out and about walking their dogs, taking their kids to school, going down to the corner for ice cream, a walk along the Charles River, or meeting friends for coffee. The area is extremely safe, family neighborhood.

MGH/Charles Street subway stop on the Red Line is just 2 blocks away. Back Bay and the Financial District are within walking distance. Bike rental (Hubway) is one block away. All other neighborhood are accessible by subway or cab.

Trash and recycling days are Monday and Friday in case you want to put something out. You can put something out after 5 pm the night before, and up to 7 am on the day of. Putting out something outside of these times may result in a fine.

Another great stay

  • 5 of 5

Yet another wonderful stay for us in this charming Beacon Hill apartment. Perfect location for our winter weekend - close to the T, lots of shopping and restaurants and the Public Garden and Boston Common. This is always our first choice when booking accommodations on our bi-annual trips to our favorite city. Bernardo is a wonderful host and has made this a very welcoming place to stay that we plan on visiting again soon.

Comfort and Hospitality

  • 5 of 5

The unit was comfortable and cozy in the heart of the beautiful, historic Beacon Hill neighborhood. Steps away from some wonderful shops and restaurants, and a few blocks from the State House, Public Garden and Commons. And our host good not be more gracious and accommodating. He was quick to respond prior to our vist and during our stay. We would highly recommend this place to others looking for a wonderful stay in Boston.

Immerse Yourself in Beacon Hill and Boston

  • 5 of 5

Our visit to Boston included a terrific stay in this well-appointed, spotless townhouse. The interior of the townhouse was classic Beacon Hill colonial brick row house with beautiful windows front and back to enjoy the natural sunlight. But we didn't stay inside for long. The location in Beacon Hill is fantastic. Leaving the property in any direction takes you to many of the sought-out neighborhoods of Boston. Leaving the townhouse in one direction via a pleasant, down hill walk takes you to the restaurants and antique shops located on Charles Street. Going another direction brings you to Boston Commons and the Gardens. Yet another direction puts you in Government Center and Faneuil Hall and the North End beyond. This is a real find if you like to immerse yourself in one of the USA's great neighborhoods.
