It features a fully stocked kitchen with every necessary tool and appliance, a squeaky clean bathroom with toiletries and water heater, and a cozy separate living and dining area. Each of the two bedrooms is appointed with 42" flat screen cable Tv's featuring over 200 channels, air conditioning, and includes plenty of closet space for longer stays.

Conveniently located in a complex of private residences the one story multi-unit building features a spacious open-terrace perfect for taking your morning coffee or simply sitting in enjoyment of the nice climate. Wifi, of course, is included.

Getting Around:

There are many close by establishments for guests to stock the fridge, do some shopping, and buy souvenirs. However, if your intention is to visit all the historic sites or the beaches, although close, some means of transportation is needed. If you are up for an adventure our public transportation system is very informal but can get you almost anywhere if you have time and patience. But if I were you, I would rent a car or rent a tour guide.

Nearby Attractions:

Manati is known as the Athenas of Puerto Rico, hometown to many of the islands great poets, visit the municipal library to explore the history of this quaint town. Make sure to also visit the "Teatro Taboa" where many a nights local theater groups graze the stage of this century old theater.

Within a 10-15 minute drive you will find:

Beach Mar Chiquita, an inlet of shallow water separated from the ocean by large rock formations, this is truly a natural beauty to behold and bathe in

The famous Cave Swallows with its stunning rock formations and petroglyphs

Tortuguero Lagoon Natural Reserve

Many criollo restaurants, including local favorite Salt & Pepper

Downtown Manati - walk the streets and take in century old buildings as you get a taste for local daily life.

Acropolis, a huge local favorite playground, very enjoyable for the little kids (this is only 5 minutes away)

Barceloneta Premium Outlets, said to be the best shopping of the island. Also find here a movie theater, many restaurants, an arcade and much more.

Ciales, a small town with beautiful stone paved streets, an impressive palatial church, and famous coffee museum

Hacienda La Esperanza, a restored 17th century sugar mill. Explore the inner workings of the mill, the estate where the original owners lived, and slave quarters.

Failure of essential and non-essential appliances and facilities

Please let us know immediately if there is any equipment that is not operating correctly. We will make every reasonable effort to have repairs made as soon as possible; however, there are limited service contractors in our areas, particularly on evenings or weekends. If a breakdown should occur to fundamental elements such as water systems, plumbing and electrical systems, and major appliances such as stove or refrigerator, every effort will be made to repair or replace, or an appropriate refund will be made for the inconvenience caused. No reduction of rent, rebate, or refund will be issued for a mechanical failure of non essential appliances including but not limited to dishwasher, washer, dryer, entertainment systems or hot tub

3All of the units are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, illnesses or death caused, to person or property of The Renter, his/her family, or guests, before during or after the time of occupancy that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. The Renter represents, warrants, acknowledges and agrees with The Owner that he/she will use the Property and its facilities in accordance with The Terms and Conditions above and the Information provided and that he/she does so at his/her own risk and that he/she indemnifies and saves. Further, he/she accepts full responsibility for the use of the Property and any recreational equipment such as boats and motors, etc. and agree to pay for any damage of said equipment, other than for normal wear and tear. The Renter further acknowledges he/she is responsible for ensuring all Boating Regulations are observed, including having required safety equipment in the watercraft, as well as meeting current Operator Competency Requirements.

I booked this rental in mid February for a week with a friend for R&R vacation. I paid in full for the rental a month prior to my arrival. I have booked other rentals on Travelmob and after payment will always get proper instructions on key pick up, address, information regarding the rental and that did not happen. Three days before my vacation I contacted Angel by email and cell phone in attempts to confirm the rental. Angel is listed as a point of contact, but he has his brother Carlos to manage the property. It was very disorganized. Up until the day before my flight I had not heard from Carlos, I basically threatened I had no choice but to dispute the charges on my credit card for the rental since I had not heard from anyone. Angel immediately responded within minutes after that threat.

The pictures to the rental unit are pretty deceiving. When you open the shades to the windows or the sliding door to the patio it's framed with iron bars with a large padlock. The shower area has exposed crumbly blocks of concrete, and the drain was so slow it left a constant two inch pool to wade in while showering. The water was just a tad hotter than luke warm on our best nights. I always think it's a bad sign when it appears no one has stayed there before. No leftover dish soap, laundry soap, condiments in the fridge, paper towels, or cleaning products. We were provided two bath towels per bedroom. No hand towels, no bath mat, no trash cans, standard items you'd expect even if you stayed at a cheap motel. We had to ask or buy it on our own. The second night, I woke up to use the restroom and the entire kitchen area was flooded! The rain was coming down and a nice stream of water was gushing from the ceiling and my friend's bedroom. We didn't even have enough towels to clean it up. We used large pots to collect the water. The rental itself is literally falling apart, Carlos came to staple a tarp down, and the majority of their popcorn ceiling has been poorly patched in giant areas. The bedrooms are so stuffy even with the the a/c on blast since there are horrible moisture problems permeated into the walls and ceilings. I think there was a bad mold problem as well. Super floppy uncomfortable mattresses. Forget trying to get a good nights rest. His niece that lives upstairs and the neighbors sit out on the patio and loudly chat until 1am almost every night. It was the worst vacation experience I've ever had. For sanity and health reasons, I just left with 3 days...
