“Dash's Den” is a 420 sq ft one bedroom apartment located in the country but only 3 miles from downtown. It is a short ride to everything you want to do in the Asheville area, from wonderful dining, gorgeous hiking, and antiquing. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog. We have a $35 pet fee. The Biltmore estate is 15 minutes away. After a day of sightseeing and adventure, Dash's Den is a great place to call home. There is a fridge, an oven, a microwave oven, and an electric fry pan to cook small meals on. All small appliances, dishes, glasses and pots and pans are provided. There is also washer and dryer for your convenience. We have wireless internet (electronics other than computers may not work) and a TV (but no cable). The tv gets a couple of channels but we have a video library and dvd player for you to enjoy.
Our apartment has a living and dining area with a kitchenette and a bath with a shower. The bedroom has a queen size bed with a pillowtop mattress.
The apartment is a great place to relax after a day of exploring Asheville or as an alternative to a motel on a business trip.
Asheville boasts activities which will satisfy all in your travel party. Hiking trails and outdoor activities such as horseback riding, canoeing, whitewater rafting are within easy driving distance. Skiiing and zipline within a 20 minute drive. For the shopper in your group Asheville has a host of antique shops, boutiques, art galleries, and crafts. Evening activities include diverse dining options, movies, live theatre, live music, or just walking through Asheville's lively downtown filled with street performers and art. The Biltmore estate is breathtaking in summer and glorious when decorated for Christmas. Chimney Rock Park is worth the 35 minute drive. Wonderful hiking and beautiful views. A drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway in autumn highlights the beautiful peak colors. There are many festivals throughout the year for the whole family.
We spend the summer in the house next to the apartment visiting our children and grandchildren. We also visit about once a month throughout the year.

Love the property and it's on the same street as our family. We love to share our apartment with Asheville visitors.
The place is bigger in person than pictures. Although the space is a converted garage you'd not be able to guess that once you're in. It looks and feels just like an apartment - spacious bedroom and bathroom, and a well organized kitchen/living/dining area. The place is fully furnished and well equipped. One of my concerns was the electric stove top/oven , but it did the job just fine. Unless you're planning to make a pot roast, you're set. Internet signal could be stronger but it's decent in the half of the apartment facing the main house. Bedroom mattress is on the softer side but still comfy. Bathroom was clean with good water pressure. Marilyn was promptly reachable, kind, and helpful. She even let us check out late. All in all, great value for what we paid.
This is a detached, garage apartment with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, full kitchen, TV and dining area with a 1 car garage, perfect for 2 people. It is also pet friendly for a small, additional fee. It is only minutes to Downtown, Biltmore Village, River Arts District, and Biltmore Estate.
This was the perfect spot for our short stay in Asheville. We were visiting our daughter and basically needed a place to sleep and shower. Dash's Den is extremely clean and located in a quiet neighborhood with quick and easy access to downtown. We didn't need to prepare any meals, but the kitchen appeared to have enough appliances to do simple cooking. Super easy check-in and check-out, plus quick refund of deposit. We will definitely stay here again.
This was our second stay at Dash's Den. The location of perfect for our needs. The suite is well equipped for a short or long stay. The bed is very soft (I prefer a firm bed), but we were comfortable.
The owners are very personable and accommodating.
We would recommend Dash's Den, and will probably stay there again, mainly because of its proximity to our Asheville family.
The unit is well kept, but should have been better stocked. We had to ask for another roll of toilet tissue, also some salt & pepper. He immediately produced the things requested.Dryer was not working, but a replacement had been ordered, and owner offered to dry our clothes. There is a mini drying rack on the wall near the washing machine. So, I used it. We felt safe, but the neighborhood is on the decline. My main complaint is the garage. It definitely is a plus to be able to park your car into a closed garage, but it was very cluttered. We only drive a Honda CRV, and walkway on both sides and in front were very limited. The place is modestly priced and centrally located. So, with the inconveniences we had, it was still worth it. ZR from Little Rock, AR
The Den was great! It was clean, we felt safe, and it was a nice quiet street for sleeping. Would definitely stay again if we go back!
Dash's Den is very conveniently located to anywhere we wanted to go in the Asheville area. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. There's adequate storage for personal items during your stay. The kitchen is adequate for preparing meals for one or two. It's great to have a washer and dryer there. The baseboard heaters really kick out heat! A nice place to stay for a fraction of the price of a hotel or B&B.
