Arriving on a beautifully cool fall afternoon and loving the house and scenery. Abbi was very accommodating to let us arrive early missing the holiday traffic . There was amble space to unload 2 cars worth of food for 5 College age teens. We had enough room to set up a volleyball/badminton set, horseshoes, and chairs to get ready for a great fire circle. And FYI, if you are of the hypochondriac sort..the ER that is located in the welcome packet is very competent and friendly... as we had a need for such facility. If you have small children this is also a great stay as everything is childproof w cabinet locks and outlet protectors, as well as a trundle bed in the master and extra small mattresses and a playpen. Although there were times I almost wanted to put my teens in timeout..it was not needed. The TV was a disappointment because of the poor reception/snowing for thanksgiving football, it may have been user error but I don't believe so, hence the need to use the all in one DVD/tv, but that skipped and paused to a point of not watching it. There were ample DVD selections, games, puzzles and outdoor activities. My kids definitely would love to come back! Please please install a washer dryer ...it would have made life so much easier!
We love this warm vacation home. This was our second visit. My family and friends rented this in December 2014 and we liked it so much that we decided to rent this again in October this year. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood near the lake. It was clean and well maintained. All bedrooms and living room were well furnished. Big open and well equipped kitchen and a spacious dinning space. We all enjoyed cooking and playing at home. I will recommend this vacation home to all my family and friends.
This was an all-around good house rental. We stayed there with two couples and two children under 2. There were some really great bonus aspects that we hadn't expected, but also some hidden fees that we hadn't anticipated through the rental website. This house had a pack and play (great for the family with small kids!) and access to the water via a short walk. There wasn't a working washer and dryer during the time we were there, and a few areas of the house could be updated, but all in all it was a pretty good experience.
I rented this house for a long weekend. There were two couples and two single guys (6 total) and there was plenty of space! The kitchen was spacious with plenty of room to cook large meals for the group. We found everything we needed to prepare everything from pulled pork sandwiches to fajitas and ribs. The dining room was large and the table worked for our group for meals and games. The back yard was beautiful and the table was a nice plus- it was great to have breakfast out side in the quiet morning. There is a tiny boat dock at the end of the yard you can use to run things down to the boat or to make quick restroom breaks.
Overall, we all loved staying at this house and had a WONDERFUL experience. My husband and I will Definetly stay at this house again!
My family of four and my brother's family of four stayed here two nights. The house itself is very comfortable. The backyard was beautiful with lots of deer every night! The beds were also very comfortable. We were able to use the barbecue grill and it was lovely to sit out on the porch. The porch could use some fans and it would be more comfortable if there isn't a breeze. Overall, the house was great (could use a mopping though, our feet were black after walking barefoot on the tile and the extra blankets int he master bedroom need to be washed). The neighborhood is nice to walk through as well. The big disappointment was that there is not an area to swim, no beach area or place to set up a picnic, etc. and let the kids swim. There is strictly a boat ramp and a small dock. We had to go and find an area to swim with the kids (the slab, Lake Buchanan) and I was expecting a swim area in the neighborhood, which, again, there wasn't. So if you have a boat and kayak that you plan on using and don't care about a swim area, this is a good spot.
The Kingsland Lake House was perfect for my wife and my two married children and two grandkids. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed to prepare meals and sleep. There is a nice view of the lake from the living room window, even though the lake is a street over. There is an undeveloped lot behind the house. This made for a quick walk to the water. The deer are abundant in the area. We saw the same group of does and their fawns each morning and evening.
The only issues we had were minor and did not take away from our stay. The master bathroom toilet was leaking slightly at the base. We had a few tiny ants show up in the living room the last morning.
We will definitely consider staying here in the future.
