Listen to the waves crash at night as you fall asleep and sip your coffee in the mornings while over looking the 4th hole of the Kahuku Golf Course at our beautiful and charming vacation home. Nestled in the magical and untouched Kahuku area of the fabled North Shore of Oahu. A private home sitting on the 4th hole of Kahuku Golf Course. 2 minute walk to a private white sandy beach, surf, and fishing. 3 bedroom, 1 bath, sleeps 7. Watch the video now and call or email us with any questions.
Kahuku Village is a historic place. It is a preserved plantation style village that still has the magic and charm of the early days. This is very rare and unique. No big city structures here! True country living at it's best. Peaceful, serene, magical!
Some of the islands best hiking trails, surf spots, fishing spots, dirt bike trails, waterfalls, and the best food on the island all found within 8 miles of this home. This private property and the surrounding area still remains 'country' and almost untouched. You can hear the waves crash against the beach at night while falling asleep. Mature papaya trees on the property bare fruit for the taking. If you surf, imagine waking up and within 2 minutes you are surfing 2 perfect breaks (Rice bowl and 7 hole.) The best part is there is maybe 2-3 other people out! If you dive, snorkel, or fish you can also take advantage of the same private beach... snorkel/dive the reef, fish the point or right off the beach.
The famous Polynesian Cultural Center, Giovanni's Shrimp Truck, Kahuku Farms, and Turtle Bay Resort are only few minutes drive away. Just a scenic drive to Sunset Beach, Pipeline, Waimea Bay, Waimea Falls, Shark's Cove, Lanikai Beach (Turtle Beach), and Haleiwa Town. Foodland, Longs Drugs, the hospital, fire and police departments are all within walking distance.

I cannot say enough about this amazing location - it was the perfect fit for our family of four to have a relaxing vacation with our relatives from NZ. It was off the main "highway" with lovely green spaces and lots of greenery that provided a sheltered area up on the lanai (where we spent much of our time). The kids made fast friends with the neighbourhood kids, we watched the golfers come and go (and did 9 holes one day), and the local chickens kept us entertained. The interior has some excellent amenities...comfortable beds, washer and dryer, lots of towels for both the beach and showering, and a very functional outdoor shower. There was a good supply of beach toys available as well. Loads of little extras like extra floor fans, cable tv, neighbour next door that rented surfboards, and lovely big kitchen table for family suppers (it is different than the one in the photo). The location was superb, close to Laie's Foodland, lots of local food trucks, and all the well-known North Shore beaches (and a few lesser known but equally beautiful)...as well as Ted's and some small road-side fruit stands. Anthony was amazing to deal with, thank you again! When the town's water main broke, we were quickly updated on its status and things were back up and running in no time. We even had neighbours check in on us to see if things were alright. Anthony was very good to provide a few helpful tips on where to go and what to see. We had a wonderful vacation, we cannot wait to come back and have been telling everyone here in snowy Canada that they should go! :)
Nice, friendly, conveniently located North Shore neighborhood. The house itself is nicer than what you might see in pictures or in the video. Well appointed, with everything you need, including comfortable rooms, plenty of covered outdoor patio areas, a nice bbq and even an outdoor shower with hot water. A short walk from a beautiful secluded beach. So relaxing. We hope that we've found our new North Shore staycation spot.
This property is an absolute gem. If you are visiting the North Shore, (or Oahu for that matter), this property is worth your consideration. Although we were only 2, 8 could conceivably stay here, although there is only 1 bathroom. The home is an updated Plantation House, with a great deal of historical value. The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly. Directly opposite Kahuku GC., and a 5 minute walk to the closest beach, although it isn't the best for swimming.
Castle Beach, (Maleakahana), is a 2 minute drive, great swimming, beginner surfing, and never busy. 15 minutes from Sunset, Pipeline and Waimea. Groceries are available close by in Laie at Foodland, better yet go 5 minutes further south to Tamura's in Haula. No sit down restaurants in the area, but lot's of food truck options. (They close early). Be prepared to fend for yourself food wise.
The house is clean and well appointed in a functional way. It isn't luxurious, but it is comfortable. The gas grill is large and works really well, but could stand some cleaning.
The kitchen has the basics, although the 'glassware' is all acrylic, and as is the norm for most rental properties, there are no decent knives and cutting boards. It's ok, we made out just fine.
This is great value. There are not a lot of rental options in the area, and what options there are are much more expensive, (mostly Turtle Bay condos). It's a great way to experience the under experienced windward side of Oahu and the North Shore. This is the real Hawaii.
We loved the house and the location. Explored the whole island from here. Plenty of room and the Lanai was great.
Well-maintained house by a golf course, and perfect location for golfers and surfers. Spacious bedrooms with soft and comfortable mattresses. Quiet and friendly neighborhood. 5-minute walk to the beach; 5-minute drive to the golf course, and close to the superb Turtle Bay Arnold Palmer golf course. Grocery, scenic points, restaurants, are all nearby. First choice for north shore exploration.
My parents flew in from the mainland and we rented this place for a few nights and we didn't want to leave. I live here on Oahu and thought staying somewhere else might not be worth it, I was wrong!! It was a great stay-cation for me as well. Thanks for your cozy country home! :-)
