Congratulations you have found the best place in town!
You are in the living heart of the city just in the middle.
What you can see from the window is a hidden romantic garden surrounded with medieval stone walls. (See pictures!)
In addition we have an owl (living in the neighborhood) and if you are lucky you can see him at dusk as he looks into the garden from the roof before his hunting starts. There is no noise you can hear just the birds singing. Imagine that you are in the middle of a metropolis of 2 million!
My house was built int he 15th century and it has a natural air condition due to the thick walls. It is pleasantly cool even in the summer heat .
We are working in the tourism so we know everything about the city.
Looking forward on your visit in our great city Budapest!!!!!
House Rules: Smoking just outside
My stay in Klara's apartment was excellent. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience: it was very easy to communicate with Klara, they were very accommodating in terms of my arrival time, the apartment is spacious (definitely enough for two), it was VERY clean, everything worked perfectly, and the kitchen was well equipped to prepare a simple meal. What made my stay excellent were all of those things AND.....Kinga, Klara's aunt, who was very friendly, worked hard to make my stay very enjoyable; the garden which is right outside the room...so plenty of fresh air, and space to sit outside for a meal and enjoy the calm/quiet of this beautiful part of Budapest; and then there was Lala...the loving family cat who also worked hard to ensure I was well taken care of. I highly recommend this little gem. I had no idea how wonderful it was going to be! See for yourself.
This is the most charming place! I loved the courtyard. It was so peaceful yet right in the heart of everything in the castle district. I was very happy I stayed in this area and not the other side of the river where it was much busier.
I would definitely recommend staying in this lovely apartment!
Rustic and Charming. Homely and Cosy. Idyllic location, right at the top of castle district. Supermarket is around the corner and just a street away, a beautiful park at the top of the hill overlooking the Buda side of the city. On the opposite end, you'll find St. Matthias church and fishermen's bastion overlooking the Danube and the parliament house. Quaint galleries, musuems, restaurants, cafes, kids playground and of course the Buda castle (where the national gallery and library is too), all within a 5 minutes walking radius.
My little family of 3 really enjoyed our stay and the accommodation was actually the highlight of our central europe trip. We were greeted by our warm and friendly host, Kinga when we arrive. She was very helpful showing us around the house, recommending us places to go and also helping us book a taxi for our trip back to the airport. We had a truly momorable stay in Budapest!
The true is I would like to keep this apartment secret and share information about it only with my friends, but that would be unfair toward our very hospitable host :) Apartment is fabulous, well equipped, easily accessible and in perfect location.
I admired its tastefully decorated interior and its inner garden (charming even in winter). There are grocery shops close enough, restaurants, and bus stop nearby. It was pleasure to come back after sunset, tired from wondering through Budapest whole day long to warm, clean and comfortable home. We want to thank Klara and her Aunt for hospitality. My sister and I had a lovely stay at the apartment. The surroundings were as pictured and made us both feel as if we were enjoying a close friend's gracious hospitality. The apartment looks onto a lovely courtyard which is calm and inviting. The history that this building must have seen is something amazing. The location of the apartment is fabulous; short walk to the Buda attractions as well as to the stop that services the buses for the 15 minuet ride to the Pest side of the Duna. Even though it is in a busy city, the apartment was extremely quiet, as if one was in a country setting.
There is no TV, but there is very good/strong WiFi signal if one needs to use their laptop. The bathroom is a bit dated, but it was just fine and we had plenty of hot water for our showers. The most critical thing for me is that my lodging be clean; and this apartment was spotless.
Our hostess was very helpful and she provided significant city information books written in English to allow even a first time visitor to easily navigate Budapest. I would like to thank her and her family for making our stay very comfortable and for allowing us to enjoy the lovely apartment. We will be back.
