The Red Bike Retreat home is a vacation home for my parents, family and friends.
Nattana Johnson purchased this house in 2011
Our family loves this location for the warmth, lower elevation, golfing hiking, biking, entertaining, shopping and the quiet sounds of the canyon.
The home is situated to overlook the Valley below and the Canyons that surround it. It is private yet close to town. You truly can bike or hike from your front door and have access to miles and miles of world-renowned trails. The views are magnificent and the home is open and spacious with a huge wrap around patio to have a cup of coffee or glass of wine and take it all in. If there is not availability please check out our other vrbo listing #452675. Located only a couple miles away.
Nattana was very attentive and easy to work with. I would recommend this house to anyone. Best suited for a couple as the sleeping arrangements are perfect for 2. If you have more guests, I would recommend the pullout couch which is comfortable, but the sun comes in all the wonderful view windows. (No sleeping in as there are no window treatments and the living room faces east). Probably only a problem during the summer.
We stayed in this wonderful property from 25th June to 1st July 2016. The house was clean and comfortable with all amenities you could wish for. The property has a large wrap around deck with lots of comfortable seating. Each evening we would sit outside with a cold beer and enjoy the view of Grand Junction. The house is near all the attractions, hiking, biking ect. The house is only a short distance from Downtown Grand Junction so you can easily drive on to grab a bite to eat.
We brought our daughter here to visit the CMU campus and explore the Grand Junction area to see if she wants to attend college here, but were also making this into a family vacation as well.
Our family of four (3 adults and 1 near adult) were very comfortable here and the views are beautiful!! The house is at the top of a hill with a gorgeous overview of a canyon next to the house and a view of the city below with Grand Mesa in the background as well. We spent a lot of time on the wrap around deck, taking it all in. The house is very clean and we loved the decor of the home!! The kitchen is well stocked, more than any other vacation rental I have ever stayed in, and I loved cooking in the kitchen!! The master bedroom is amazing and is such a relaxing room to unwind in and rest after a day of exploring. My oldest daughter found the queen pullout couch in the living room to be quite comfortable. The vinyl (maybe leather) futon in the 2nd bedroom worked OK for my other daughter but personally would only recommend that for a small child or two.....which the house description here did state and she could have easily shared the pullout with her sister if she wanted too :) Just something another family might want to know, wasn't a big deal for us though. Owner was easy to work with and communicated very well. We would definitely stay here again!!
Another nice thing about this house is that it is on the road that makes a nice loop into the Colorado National Monument, which we LOVED!! Lots of hiking and biking and a beautiful scenic drive, both around the home and at the monument!! Great time here!
We had a great stay during daughter's graduation from CMU. Views were spectacular, home was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. Definitely would stay here again!
Absolutely stunning views and a beautiful home. It's under 10 minutes to downtown Grand Junction, fulfilled our expectations and then some.
We did not want to leave this beautiful location. The house overlooks the canyon and the views are breathtaking!!! The lunch loops trails are a short bike ride either up hill or down hill from the house. Also a short drive to Fruita where other awesome trails are like Kokopelli and 18 Roads. The house has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The bed is very comfortable and the deck is very large with a gas grill to sit out and enjoy the beautiful weather we had in mid May. The kitchen has everything you need to cook in (if you want to) or enjoy the other restaurants a short drive down the road. The town of Grand Junction is very nice as well. The down town area has lots of local shops and eateries and has some pretty cool sculptures as well. We will be back!!!!
This property is located within one of the most spectacular high desert outdoor regions...known for its mountain biking, cycling and hiking, golfing, shopping and dining. You literally can ride/hike from the front door, or play the award-winning Redlands Mesa Golf Course. In the winter-time you can cross-country or downhill ski on the Mesa; Powderhorn Ski Resort is located 45 miles away and Aspen/Snowmass is an easy day trip at 2.5 hours away.
