A Wonderful Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We could not have been happier with the Willow House. It's stunningly beautiful and spacious and the surrounding land and scenery are equally as wonderful, especially in October. The house had everything we needed and we made the most of the myriad activities at our disposal. We had a group of 10, which the house accommodated nicely. We only left the property once to pick up groceries via a scenic 8 minute drive. The hosts were a pleasure to deal with and quick to assist with any questions, of which we had very few. I'd eagerly recommend this home to anyone looking to get away to a beautiful, secluded home in the iconic Catskills.

Outrageous Fun!

  • 5 of 5

The photos and description do not do the Willow House justice. Just returned from a weekend in September and all I can say is wow. Amazing grounds, every amenity you could ask for, stunning views- much larger than what was expected. Absolute peace and quite in this location- seems like no one around for miles. Kitchen was awesome- had no problem cooking for our large group. I would 100% recommend for anyone considering a weekend away.

The Willow House is a pristine estate on perhaps the most magnificent piece of property I have ever seen. The home is impeccably decorated, and designed to meet the needs of just about anyone. I cannot recommend this property enough.

A Gem In The Forest

  • 5 of 5

My 10 closest friends and I go away every Labor Day weekend, and for the past two years have chosen Willow House as our yearly retreat. The place is one of true amazement. It's a perfect property to relax and enjoy nature. The pool, the lake, and the grounds are perfect for all day outdoors. The house is perfectly outfitted for gatherings--stellar kitchen, common rooms, and dining spaces. I like that it's big enough, as well, to have alone time. There's even a walking path with benches around the lake to relax and take in nature. Serene, Secluded, and Spectacular are the 3 words I'd use. I'm also continually impressed by Lindy, the property manager at Willow House. She's a treasure--always attentive and continually anticipates each guests need, but very respective of our group and letting us enjoy togetherness without intrusion. EVERYONE on my trip begs me to book next year as soon as we pack up to leave.

Excellent venue for a family gathering

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I recently celebrated our 50th anniversary with our family (son and daughter and their spouses and young children) -- a total of six adults and four youngsters (and a dog). Despite my teasing our kids about spotting us a 'round-the-world cruise, when the laughter ended our daughter came up with Willow House. Could not have been a better choice: plenty of room inside so folks were not on top of each other and a virtual wonderland outside, with pool, ponds for kayaking, trails, tennis courts, etc. I'd be remiss if I didn't say a word about the property manager, Lindy. She is an absolute jewel -- very helpful, always pleasant and always prompt in getting back to us. She's responsible in large measure for making our stay the success it was. And it was. In fact, our son, who's always been partial to seashore vacations, has now decided that the mountains are equally fine (at least if we're all staying in a place like Willow House).

Willow House is a Terrific Place for Family Fun

  • 5 of 5

We were heartbroken when our Adirondack rental house was sold into private use. We doubted any place would be as accommodating for our annual three-generation family vacation. We were never so happy to be wrong--Willow House with all it has to offer is even better than our previous rental. Where to start? How about the spacious gourmet kitchen offering room for several cooks to work. Family meals are very important and Willow has a table that would all 12 of us. We were six adults and six kids, ranging in age from 68 to 4. The salt water pool, a first for us, was enjoyed daily. No chlorine to irritate eyes. Also well used were the tennis and basketball courts. The large pond turned out to be the perfect place to introduce the grandkids aged 4 to 11 to kayaking. We brought two solos of our own to supplement the house double seater. Fishing in the ponds yielded mainly small sunfish but one of the anglers in our group felt the large pond could be successfully stocked with largemouth bass. One intrepid angler tried the House's section of the Willowemoc Creek. He pulled in but one brown trout but he said it was a beauty which he admired and then returned to the stream. The spacious living and game rooms provided plenty of room to spread out. The town of Livingston Manor is a few miles from Willow. We found Peck's Market and Madison Pizza to be excellent. The Brandenburg Bakery is in a word "exceptional". We happily spent a good deal of money on their baked goods. Willow House is a beautiful property that offers many activities. Something to do even if it rains. We certainly hope to come back next year.
