A very good place to discover Tokyo! We came back to this apartment as was initially planned and it was better cleaned with as much equipment as before. The location is excellent if you look for a quiet place near the magnificent view on Sumida river and the sky tree, as well as the buoyant streets of Asakusa. Otherwise the metro station is only at 10mn walk.
Well located appartement, Asakusa area is quiet and interesting. The indications given by Nobu were perfect. Some more cleaning would make it the perfect place to stay in Japan ( hair and dust here and there, suspicious smell in the toilets, kitchen sponge should definitely be changed). Otherwise there is enough room for five or six people, and the owner left plenty of lining and towels.
I do not know if it was/will be like this for future stays but when I checked in officially at 5 pm, the rubbish in the bins have yet to be cleared. Furthermore, there was leftover food items in the fridge, such as expired rice balls and a half finished bottle of wine. Moreover, the floor around the kitchen was slightly sticky. But the rest of the apartment was in great condition.
Room was everything the owner said it was and more.
I had a few problems with the key locker but the host, Mr. Nobu, always helped me. There was once an instance where we had to chat from 11 pm till 1 am in order to get an issue resolved. Throughout the whole affair, Mr. Nobu was patient and polite.
The room comes with a lot of stuff. They provide washing liquids, soap, plastic bags, paper towels, etc... Honestly it was more than I expected. Comparing this to my experience at Fraser's its really quite good.
Okay, this is probably the worst part about the apartment. Its about 15 minutes from Tawaramachi (Metro) and 20 from Asakusa (JR Line). And to top it off, its in a secluded area.
On this trip, I went with 6 people, which I think tested the limits of the apartment. Surprisingly it was good. The living room was large enough for us to all watch television at the same time. The WiFi drops from time to time, but otherwise its strong.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely consider this place again if I am returning to Tokyo.
Great flat. Everything works perfekt.
Very convenient for 4 people.
Just the beds seem to be a little hard while sleeping.
Perfect to stay some days in here.
Very nice flat, in a quite area, although it might be a bit difficult to find
We had some issues getting the keys but finally everything was fine. Would definitely recommend.
Nice, quite area between ueno and asakusa.
As the Japanese standard the apt is small. But everything works perfect. Nice views. Could be difficult to get there. The are a links in YouTube but still hard.
