WHAT TO EXPECT: This light-filled, lower-ground floor apartment with private gated entrance is part of a listed historic building that sits opposite the private garden of Eccleston Square. Known for its diverse collection of rare and tender plants, this garden square surpasses most in London, including the one featured in the popular movie 'Notting Hill'. PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Greenhaven is newly refurbished by European architectural & design firms, air-conditioned/centrally heated and fully-furnished with a mix of contemporary and antique décor. Residential design and decor is my passion, and I strive to provide dwelling places that are more expressive, more beautiful than other vacation rentals. I live part-time in all these places. Why Paula Harvan chose Westminster & West End

I've lived in London for a few years, and I wanted to find a location that combined all of its best aspects at my doorstep: proximity to major sites, transportation, shopping, dining, culture and entertainment, but with a traditional London feel. Eccleston Square is it -- with an added bonus: the private garden that's only accessible to residents and their guests.

From the outside of Greenhaven, the view is a scaled-down version of New York's Central Park. You see the upper branches of trees, swirls of clematis, heady explosions of climbing roses and, here and there, the opposite side of Eccleston Square, London SW1 -- one of London's most posh addresses. When you get into the garden, you wouldn't know you’re in the heart of a world-renowned international city. When you smell the flowers and hear the birds sing, London seems to disappear -- yet all of its wonderful sights, sounds, tastes and experiences are right outside the garden gates.

Eccleston Square came about when town planner Thomas Cubitt, who developed it in 1845, had the idea of gathering everyone's back gardens together. Around the periphery, a shady walk takes you though arches of wisteria and clematis. For garden buffs, there are several unique specimen plants, including a handkerchief tree from China -- and art buffs will enjoy the irises, some of which came from Monet's garden in Giverny, France. The Garden Square has won many awards not only for its botanical beauty, but also for its well-integrated features, such as several brick patios, glass conservatory, tennis court, and play and BBQ areas.

Location, Location, Location!

Greenhaven apartment is a perfect location to explore London from! Very close to Victoria Station so you have easy access to trains as well as the underground and the hop on hop off buses which make getting around London easy for tourists. The apartment is exactly as Paula describes it and her property manager was welcoming and right on schedule (despite our 2.5 hr delayed arrival). She welcomed us and did a walk-through of the apartment which was much appreciated. The shower instructions were a challenge but once we figured out what was meant as far as turning which knobs which direction, we were able to get lots of hot water. Do be careful navigating the steep stairs in the rain, and hold the hand railings so as not to slip! Quiet, relaxing, comfortable for 2 or three. It would feel small for two American couples as we are so used to having lots of space. The kitchen was ample although we ate out most of the time. Will definitely return next trip to London and have already recommended Greenhaven to our friends in the UK who make trips to London frequently and would love not to have to stay in a hotel! Highly recommend this property!

Great stay, great apartment!

I don't normally write reviews, but this place is worthy of one. It is in a great neighborhood that feels both quiet and safe. The adjacent park is really nice and laid back. The apartment is a short walk (4-5 minutes) from Victoria station which is really nice. We landed in Gatwick and took the express train to Victoria and it was an easy walk to the apartment.

But what really sets this place apart from others I have stayed at is that it is fully stocked with Nespresso coffee pods, large selection of tea, 4 selections of liquor and soda.

I would absolutely stay here again if and when I return to London!

There's really not much I can add to the previous reviews, they are spot on. The apartment is exactly as advertised and every detail is second to none. My wife and I were here for 4 nights and will definitely stay here again when we return to London.

Fantastic - and As Advertised

The flat we rented was absolutely perfect. We had three women on a girls trip, for 8 days in London and environs, and the flat was a perfect home base. Great kitchen, so we didn't have to eat every meal out. Plenty of room for three women and all our gear. Wonderful shower, coffee maker, tea kettle, and amenities. Wifi worked great, and strong - even when everyone was on line. The place felt very secure, and is centrally located for nearly everything you'd want to see or do. I would definitely stay here again. A luxurious value for the price.

Beautiful neighborhood and perfect location....

We are a family of 5, 3 teenagers, with the pullout sofa bed and day bed, the apartment fit us very comfortably, very cozy actually. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. Paula was immediately responding to all inquiries from very beginning to end, greatly appreciated her attentiveness to us after such a long trip from USA. Paula's rep met us at the apartment and provided us with a run down of all that we needed to know concerning the apartment, surroundings, etc. We arrived late due to our train delayed, and were not charged for this, thank you. The apartment has everything you need for cooking, washing clothes, and even had fully stocked Nespresso maker, which came in very handy in the morning, and then also stocked with different alcohol options if you indulge in a night cap. The apartment is just across from a private park, with secure access for the tenants in the area, beautiful area to sit and relax after long day of sight seeing. Furthermore, the apartment is very close to anything you could possibly want, groceries, restaurants, metro, taxis, and tourist sites. For a family of 5 traveling to London and Paris this trip, an apartment is the only way to go due to occupancy rules in hotels, where we would have to rent one family room and another single room, or even 3 single rooms, so this was very cost efficient for us, and perfect rental. Thank you again Paula, so glad we found your apartment for our London trip, it was truly perfect and will be always a great memory for us. We are thinking of coming back and without hesitation would seek out your apartment again and again. All the best.....
