Kenosha Stay

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay on Lake Michigan. It was very peaceful and quiet. The stairs down to the lake needs a railing for us older people to go down to the lake. We enjoyed the screened in porch for watching the sunrise and just listening to the lake. We were a bit disappointed that the windows did not have screens on them so that we could take advantage of the lake breeze and not let the spiders in. The room across from the bathroom needed a window air conditioner like the other 2 rooms as it got a bit stuffy the last couple of days when the temperature got hot and muggy. But otherwise, this was a great experience. We didn't eat out much but took advantage of making our own meals. We visited the local museums, which we enjoyed, and Tempel Farms to see the Lipizzaner horses perform. But mostly we spent our vacation with our family.

Wonderful home on Lake Michigan

  • 5 of 5

Home was very comfortable and clean with lots of room to hang out. The living room was large with comfortable seating and a big TV.

Tho we didn't use it, the 3 season room is great. The bedrooms were comfortable including the beds but the master bedroom does not have adequate storage for clothing.

The owner was very responsive to our inquiries and needs!

The backyard is inviting and having access to the beach is great. In response to earlier comments that the path down to the beach was difficult, the owner made an easier path down to it.

Overall, we recommend the home and will stay there again if we are in the area.

Relaxing end of summer!

  • 4 of 5

We were completely happy with this home. More room than we imagined. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals and everything in the house was very clean. Only negatives were we intended to grill a few meals and the grill was not even approachable. Pretty dirty. Also could have used an iron (even though we were on vacation) for some quick pressing before we went out for the day. (I am a little anal) Beautiful view of the lake from screened in porch. Lake a little tricky to get down to. There are steps but it is steep and some rocks you need to climb on to reach beach sand. Beach is small and area is pretty rocky. This wasn't a problem for my husband and I but might be for family's with small kids. It was the perfect place for my husband and our adult children. Thank you Paul for sharing your home with us!

The house was very accommodating for our family.

  • 4 of 5

We fell in love with the house as soon as we arrived and felt at home. The kitchen has all you need to make meals. Plenty of bedroom space. A high chair was provided for our toddler. The yard is very large for the children to play in. We enjoyed the views of Lake Michigan and playing on the private beach. Lots of wildlife too. As the property is on the edge of town you feel secluded but Racine is close and Kenosha only 10 minutes away. It was an hour drive from O'Hare.

A few niggles - The steps to the beach are tricky as there is no handrail. But with practice we got used to it. The washing machine didn't seem to work very well - had to triple wash loads. The hot water was scarce in the shower. A cot bed would have been great for our toddler as the beds are very high up and posed a risk of him falling out.

We would definitely return!!!

The stay was awesome

  • 4 of 5

The house was more than what we expected . Nice and clean in a great location for all our touring . It was a little hard to get to the lake but still a great view. We had all the things we needed to live for a week. Only negative seems like we didn't have enough hot water for all the guest bathing every night ,could have used a tv in every room, and spiders seemed to be annoying.

Thanks for the opportunity we would sure visit again.
