Quartiere XIV Trionfale Hotel Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleep 3

In just a few minutes from the Bed and Breakfast you can reach all of the most beautiful squares of Rome.

The closest one is St. Peter's Square, in the heart of the Vatican City, which can easily be reached on foot in 10 minutes, as well as the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel.

Always walking you can reach Castel Sant'Angelo, connected to the Vatican City through the fortified corridor of the 'small step', built around 123 AD as a tomb for Emperor Hadrian and his family, then used as a terrible prison and now as a museum, and the Ara Pacis Augustae, altar dedicated by Augustus in 9 BC to the Peace in the Augustan age, now protected by a structure made of glass and steel designed by the American architect Richard Meier.

With a leisurely stroll through the typical narrow streets of Rome you can reach:

- The wonderful Piazza Navona, built by emperor Domitian in 85 AD as a stage, with the Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini, and the church of St. Agnes in Agony, by Borromini and Rinaldi

- The Pantheon, characteristic building of the ancient Rome built as a temple to all the gods, past, present and future

- The Trevi Fountain, one of the most famous fountains in the world, fed by the Acqua Vergine

In 10 minutes, moving by subway you can reach Piazza del Popolo, with the ancient Egyptian obelisk dating back to 1,200 BC, the magnificent fountains and the famous church of Santa Maria del Popolo, where you can see the paintings of the Conversion of St. Paul and the Crucifixion of St. Peter by Caravaggio.

Walking along Via del Corso and then Via della Scrofa you get to the church of Sant'Agostino, where you can admire the Madonna of Loreto or Madonna dei Pellegrini by Caravaggio.

Finally getting to Via Santa Giovanna d'Arco you will find the Church of San Luigi dei Francesi, where Caravaggio has decorated the Contarelli Chapel with three beautiful paintings dedicated to St. Matthew: The Calling of Saint Matthew, The Martyrdom of St. Matthew and St. Matthew with an Angel.

Continuing with the subway for a few more minutes you can reach Piazza di Spagna with the famous steps of Trinita dei Monti, the Barcaccia Fountain and higher up, the panoramic terrace of the Pincio.

Again with the subway you can easily reach Piazza Venezia with the colossal Victor Emmanuel monument, the Campidoglio designed by Michelangelo, the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, the most famous amphitheater in the world.

MOVIDA

If you love nightlife and clubs there are several options available to you.

You can start with a walk through Testaccio, the popular district between Via Marmorata, the Aurelian Walls and the Tiber. Here you can enjoy an original atmosphere: the area is packed with entertainment spaces, very intriguing, that have turned the nights in the area around Monte Testaccio in a real Capitoline nightlife.

From there, with a few steps, you arrive in the bustling and noisy Campo de 'Fiori: young people aged 15 to 40 years, Romans and tourists from around the world, populate it until late night, especially on weekends.

Another alternative is the characteristic Piazza Trilussa: from here you can now enjoy all the Trastevere area: Via della Scala, Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, and you can slowly discover a slice of cheerful and colorful city where you can spend pleasant evenings in the many cafes, wine bars and restaurants.
