About the property

1 bedroom with large deck overlooking National Park.

This is the home for the couple that wants to feel like they are a million miles away in total privacy yet close to everything.

Please know that this home can be rented with the 6 bedroom/6 bath 'Blackthorne' (Home Away 338956. VRBO 323070) for a total of 7 bedroom 7 baths.

The cabin enjoys absolute privacy as it is located at the very end of a not-a-through street on 2 private acres that feel like 1000 acres as you are surrounded by National Park. The home is located in the easy-to-get-to flat area of Point Reyes (not way back up some long, winding road) yet elevated in the treetops, making it very sunny and bright with panoramic views of the National Park. Though you feel like you are a million miles away, you are conveniently only 1 mile from downtown Point Reyes with it’s fine dining and shops, 2 miles from the village of Inverness, 12 minutes from world class ocean beaches and one-hour from San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge and the Napa/Sonoma wine country.

The cabin is in as-new condition with a well-thought out design and furnishings by Robin Barnato of San Anselmo’s Studio Home Designs.

The home has a large, wrap around deck with panoramic, treetop views, a gas fireplace, flat screen TV that tilts toward the living room or bedroom, high speed wifi, phone with unlimited calling in the US and Canada, gas Bar BQ and an ipod player. Guests are also provided with tennis racquets and tennis balls and the key to a private tennis court 2 miles away.

If having a true getaway-from-it-all experience that is not far away is what you are looking for, please contact me as I’d be delighted to have you.

About Robert Galliani and Belinda Meadows

My name is Robert Galliani. I am a 3rd generation San Franciscan. My wife of 26 years and I have three children ages 18, 21 and 23. We happily and very fortunately live in a beautiful place called Marin County California where our lives are intertwined and revolve around our children.

Why Robert Galliani and Belinda Meadows chose The Bay Area

Absolute privacy is so hard to find. We're delighted to own this very charming and warm cabin located in such a spectacular setting yet 1-hour from San Francisco.

What makes this house unique

The home makes you feel like you are a million miles away, yet it's close in. Being elevated in the treetops makes the home sunny and warm. I have never liked dark places. This is the opposite as it is bright and sunny with amazing views.

Awesome and Relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect, cozy cabin for my fiance and me to spend a week. It's a short drive to San Francisco along the beautiful and windy CA-1. It was a great base for our adventures and hikes in the seashore and along the coast. A few really nice restaurants in Point Reyes Station and up the street in Inverness. We had fresh oysters at our doorstep. Tons of wineries and creameries in any direction. There is a great kitchen in the cabin to make any meal and a perfect deck to relax on. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to relax or go on day trips to a beach.

Lovely escape

  • 4 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay here. Well appointed and great feeling of being above the trees. Close to Pt Reyes station. Great wrap around deck. Clean with keys for nearby tennis courts--rackets provided. Would stay again. Would give it four and half stars but there is no half star option.

Communication could have been a little better. Bed was very squeaky and you could hear the springs with every turn.

Enchanting, secret spot

  • 5 of 5

This is a magical place. We had uncertain weather and didn't hike as much as expected on the miles and miles of beautiful trails in the park surrounding the cabin, but were perfectly happy by the fire or on the expansive deck. At Limantour beach we saw gray whales breaching, and wildflowers everywhere. This place truly has everything you need and nothing more. The restaurants, cheese shops and oyster farms in the area are terrific, and there's a superb independent bookstore about a five minute drive away. I'm astonished that a place that feels this remote is still so accessible from a big city. The owners were responsive and welcoming but didn't hover. We'll be back.

Adorable and perfect for a nature loving, romantic getaway

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I spent our anniversary here this last weekend and fell in love with this place! Adorable, cozy, and perfectly appointed. We sat on the deck and had our Saturday morning breakfast and cozied up to the fireplace at night. Within walking disctance to a wonderful market, deli, and tap room. We will absolutely visit this lovely slice of heaven again!

A lovely little nest

A little gem! The porch was delightful to sit out on. Nicely appointed and very comfortable. I would recommend this property for 2 people easily.

secluded serenity

  • 5 of 5

Lovely place, like a treehouse with a wrap-around deck, on a fairly steep hillside, surrounded by trees. Convenient to the trails, market, restaurants, but with a feeling of being far away. Belinda was a very helpful, gracious host. We would recommend as a quiet getaway for two.
