A world of its own...yet close to everything.

Bedrooms 1
Space 500 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 4 nights

About the property

1 bedroom with large deck overlooking National Park.

This is the home for the couple that wants to feel like they are a million miles away in total privacy yet close to everything.

Please know that this home can be rented with the 6 bedroom/6 bath 'Blackthorne' (Home Away 338956. VRBO 323070) for a total of 7 bedroom 7 baths.

The cabin enjoys absolute privacy as it is located at the very end of a not-a-through street on 2 private acres that feel like 1000 acres as you are surrounded by National Park. The home is located in the easy-to-get-to flat area of Point Reyes (not way back up some long, winding road) yet elevated in the treetops, making it very sunny and bright with panoramic views of the National Park. Though you feel like you are a million miles away, you are conveniently only 1 mile from downtown Point Reyes with it’s fine dining and shops, 2 miles from the village of Inverness, 12 minutes from world class ocean beaches and one-hour from San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge and the Napa/Sonoma wine country.

The cabin is in as-new condition with a well-thought out design and furnishings by Robin Barnato of San Anselmo’s Studio Home Designs.

The home has a large, wrap around deck with panoramic, treetop views, a gas fireplace, flat screen TV that tilts toward the living room or bedroom, high speed wifi, phone with unlimited calling in the US and Canada, gas Bar BQ and an ipod player. Guests are also provided with tennis racquets and tennis balls and the key to a private tennis court 2 miles away.

If having a true getaway-from-it-all experience that is not far away is what you are looking for, please contact me as I’d be delighted to have you.

About Belinda Meadows

My name is Robert Galliani. I am a 3rd generation San Franciscan. My wife of 26 years and I have three children ages 18, 21 and 23. We happily and very fortunately live in a beautiful place called Marin County California where our lives are intertwined and revolve around our children.

Belinda Meadows purchased this house in 2013

Why Belinda Meadows chose The Bay Area

Absolute privacy is so hard to find. We're delighted to own this very charming and warm cabin located in such a spectacular setting yet 1-hour from San Francisco.

What makes this house unique

The home makes you feel like you are a million miles away, yet it's close in. Being elevated in the treetops makes the home sunny and warm. I have never liked dark places. This is the opposite as it is bright and sunny with amazing views.

Perfect Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I surprised my wife with a stay here for our anniversary and I was not disappointed with her reaction when we pulled up to this adorable cabin in the woods. While we enjoyed the tourist sights around this area (which were all so close!), we always looked forward to returning here to relax and enjoy the peaceful seclusion. We are already looking forward to booking another stay here! Thanks for the nice speakers (we had music playing all weekend), the decks of playing cards, and all the other cozy comforts! :)

Fabulous 1+ room getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This place was perfect for our weekend getaway. It's small but clean and stylish. It's associated through a gate with neighboring Blackthotne big house. The two would make a great combo to house more people in a single venue. Highly recommend.

Clean kitchen, uptodate appliances, wonderful deck with wonderful green surroundings . No visible neighbors. We will return for next Point Reyes Seashore adventure.

Unique Cozy Hideaway!

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with our visit and the whole experience! We felt as if we were in the treetops surrounded by nature, and truly loved the experience. It was easy to communicate with Belinda, the cabin was immaculate, and just like the pictures in the listing with upscale design throughout which really made a difference, great WiFi and television channels, so we could keep in touch. It was a convenient location, easy to find, and yet you feel miles away from it all! Staying there enhanced our experience of Marin. Recommending to our friends.

Beautifully appointed get away cabin retreat

  • 5 of 5

Feels wonderfully secluded, yet close to Pt. Reyes Station shops and restaurants. We enjoyed exploring Tomales Bay and Pt. Reyes National Seashore, then returning to this magical retreat to relax. We loved our stay!

Awesome and Relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect, cozy cabin for my fiance and me to spend a week. It's a short drive to San Francisco along the beautiful and windy CA-1. It was a great base for our adventures and hikes in the seashore and along the coast. A few really nice restaurants in Point Reyes Station and up the street in Inverness. We had fresh oysters at our doorstep. Tons of wineries and creameries in any direction. There is a great kitchen in the cabin to make any meal and a perfect deck to relax on. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to relax or go on day trips to a beach.

Lovely escape

  • 4 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay here. Well appointed and great feeling of being above the trees. Close to Pt Reyes station. Great wrap around deck. Clean with keys for nearby tennis courts--rackets provided. Would stay again. Would give it four and half stars but there is no half star option.

Communication could have been a little better. Bed was very squeaky and you could hear the springs with every turn.
