The king size bed is perfect for a couples retreat, or a small family as we have another full sized mattress that can be pulled out. There's a breakfast bar with fresh coffee beans, teas, and half & half and a full kitchen as well. As you round the corner of the kitchen you walk into the bathroom with a large walk-in shower and fresh linens.
This studio has been fully remodeled from the ground up and you'll get the feel for that as you walk on the new wood floors and see the light bouncing off the crisp white walls delicately decorated with fine art. Come stay in this humble little studio only minutes to downtown Asheville!!
The owner lives upstairs but is only around to help you with any questions you may have. The studio is very quiet and the large yard has an abundance of sitting areas, gardens, and sculpture and has a spectacular view. To be so close to town and yet feel so far away is a real treat!
Callie Warner is a local artist here in Asheville, but she also resides in Chapel Hill. She's a brilliant metal worker and you'll find bits of her artwork throughout the place. She's also a dedicated musician that puts passion into just about everything she does!
Callie Warner purchased this studio in 2010
This was Callie grandfathers house that he built from the ground up. She couldn't stand to see it go to someone who wasn't in the family so SHE bought it and renovated the home, while keeping the essence of her grandparents all around the place. From the rose garden shop in the back, to some of the original architecture, Callie's left the love of her family in the walls of this home.
We stayed in this cozy and comfortable studio apartment for 4 nights. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a nice shower. There was plenty of room to settle in and feel at home. The kitchen was well equipped however we only used it for breakfast. The grounds are beautiful with nice views . The location was convenient for visiting downtown Asheville, the Biltmore , and enjoying the scenery of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Callie , the owner, is the epitome of southern hospitality. She was friendly and outgoing and helpful in planning our activities.
This place was clean. Its situated in a very nice quiet neighborhood and the view outside from the bedroom is beautiful. The owner was extremely nice and welcoming and willing to help us with anything we needed. The owner is right upstairs to help us as needed. This place is close to just about anything. We used Uber a few times to get to the breweries and to Crest Pavilion where my cousin got married. There was never a lack of Uber drivers. We drove our car as well but most things we went to were within 10-15 mins from this VRBO. This place has a King sized bed with an appropriately sized flat screen tv too. This place is definitely a great place to stay while in Asheville, North Carolina!
My girlfriend, cousin and I stayed at Callie's house for two nights for my mom's wedding weekend. The location was perfect! Close to downtown, a 10 minute drive or less, but seems secluded once you are there. Great views of the mountains! Callie was the best! So welcoming and very hospitable! We felt like we were visiting friends or family! We all three agreed we would stay at Callie's again anytime. There is a private entrance, king sized bed, cute little kitchen area and a nice sized bathroom with a stand up shower. She has a coffee grinder and bags of local coffee available in your kitchen. She is an amazing artist, specializes in welding and you can see her work all around the property as well as in the new Green Man Brewery location, as she made the majority of the tables and stools (you have to check out the gigantic table on the 3rd floor of the brewery that she made with the swivel stools!!!) we love Callie and love her house!!!
The owner is as delightful as the location. She makes you feel at home. It was great to be away, but so close...to everything! Enjoy your stay.
Great location, cool apartment and the most awesome hostess ever. Perfect for a weekend, extraordinary vale for extended stay.
I packed in a few groceries and was set to cook in or was within minutes of great restaurants downtown, Merrimon Avenue or the hot strip known as West Asheville.
Amazing sunrise from behind the mountains greets you through the bedroom window every morning.
Immaculately clean, comfortable, convenient -- the three "C's" of my travel needs -- all earn an A+!
You are only a seven minute drive to Downtown Asheville, yet you've got a private getaway at the end of the culdesac
