Great mountain cabin with all you need for a stay

  • 5 of 5

Cabin is great, with 2 large bedrooms, kitchen/dining room, living room and bathroom. Temperature is easy to control, hot water ready, and the stove is easy to use and clean. We used it due to the walking distance to the village for a night out, and there's a pub on route to the village only a 5 minute walk from the cabin - Big Bear Mountain Brewery. Booked through Big Bear Cool Cabins who were great for pre-check in and an easy check out. Everything was in fine working order, would happily book there again.

Adorable and cozy!

  • 5 of 5

Had a great stay here. It was rustic but still had all the modern appliances needed for a relaxing stay. All appliances were working and all the beds/towels/bathrooms/kitchens were clean. It even has a patio to watch the sunset and a small backyard to play in the snow.

Perfect for a quiet weekend getaway!

The cabin was great !

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was great ! But the front desk doing a Unauthorized charge ! on my account and charging me twice was not cool!!! Still waiting to be refunded and A tip for anyone else staying with cool cabins is to pay for the wood with cash at their office that way the same thing won't happen to you !

Smoke alarms kept us up ALL night.

  • 1 of 5

We went to Big Bear to grieve over the death of my mother and wanted to relax. We built a fire and the wood stove poured smoke out into the cabin, resulting in the smoke alarms to activate. We called twice for help and was greeted 30 minutes later being accused of having a party by the neighbors. The maintenance man was unable to help with the problem. We had so sleep with all the doors and windows open (mind you, it was freezing cold). We went to the office (not allowed to refer to the company....but is more their problem than the home owner) and they only agreed to giving us $75 back on our stay, one night. We felt it should have been free...we didn't sleep, we didn't relax. Horrible customer support. WE will never use Cozy Cabin again....they refused to contact the owner to see if she was willing to give us more money back or a free night another time.

Comfortable, cosy, convenient location.

  • 4 of 5

We have 2 young kids, aged 6 &8. They had the luxury to choose between the bunk beds and the queen bed in the second bed room. The bed lienens were clean and comfortable. We love the upper and lower level of the two stories. Quite a selection of VHS tapes. The fireplace is a nice addition, though we didn't burn too much firewood, it got smoky. Loved the kitchen. Nice dining table. It's location is prime, very close to the Alpine snow play, the village, the lake and the main road. There is a baby slope next to our house where we built a big snow man and the kids had fun sliding down the slope using the sled.
