Welcome to "Mountain Escape", our Dillon, CO lakefront vacation rental condo in the heart of Summit County (Ski country USA!)
Timberline condos are some of the largest and most spacious 2 bedroom units we found when looking for a vacation rental property to purchase in Dillon. At just under 1300 square feet, this unit has plenty of room for you to spread out and relax! Additionally, this is a top floor end unit (21 steps up), which means that there is only one shared wall with a neighbor and the ceilings are vaulted which expands the spacious feeling of the unit.
RENOVATION: WHAT HAS BEEN CHANGED
We bought this property in June 2012 and have since gutted the entire unit and have rebuilt it from the bottom up! Below is a short descriptive list of all of the changes that we have made to the condo:

*New custom kitchen design including 7' island, granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances
We have re-designed the kitchen floor-plan from the original galley style to a larger plan that includes an impressive 7 foot island. The counters are made of beautiful solid granite. This custom kitchen is equipped with new stainless-steel appliances (refrigerator, microwave & oven.) The sink & dishwasher are located in the island. You will enjoy preparing your meals in this brand-new, well-stocked kitchen!
PERFECT FOR TWO COUPLES TRAVELING TOGETHER
Our condo possesses two large bedrooms, each featuring a king-sized bed with cozy bedding and linens. The master bedroom is outfitted with a gorgeous natural wood king sized bed with matching nightstands and dresser. The second bedroom features a king-sized black iron bed with rustic nightstands and chest of drawers. Both bedrooms have flat-paneled TVs with cable service for you to enjoy your favorite TV shows from the comfort of your bed!
NOTE: The maximum occupancy for our condo is four people. We cannot accommodate more than four people, even on air mattresses or sleeping bags. Additional fees may be incurred if your party exceeds the maximum occupancy as per our rental contract.
There are two newly remodeled bathrooms to enjoy in this condo. The largest is connected to the master bedroom, but is also accessible through the hallway. The beautiful hickory vanity is equipped with double sinks. And because Timberline does not have a public hot tub, we made sure we included luxury features in this bathroom such as a brand new Jacuzzi (whirlpool) tub as well as a new state-of-the art steam shower. (Wouldn't you rather luxuriate in your own well-maintained and private Jacuzzi bath or steam shower than share a public one with strangers? We thought so!)
The second bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. This bathroom is also fitted with double sinks in a hickory vanity and has a shower. The entire room sports beautiful new tile.
The main living area is an open and airy space that incorporates the kitchen, dining area and living area and is capped by soaring vaulted ceilings. Relax on the comfortable leather sofa in the living area and watch a movie or your favorite TV show on the large 50-inch flat screen HD TV. (An upgraded HD package is available in this room.) Or enjoy the convenience of a cozy fire in the fireplace with a flick of the switch, and settle in with a glass of wine and a good book.
WHAT THIS CONDO HAS THAT MOST DO NOT: SPACIOUS BALCONY & MILLION $$ VIEW!
But I've saved the best for last! Because through the two brand new 8 foot patio doors is the most breath-taking view you have ever seen! Our spacious deck and the view it provides is the crowning jewel of this unit and is the primary reason why we purchased this condo. Despite all of the work that needed to be done to update the condo, we couldn't forget the majestic views of Lake Dillon and the Ten Mile Range that this unit provides. You will be drawn again and again to enjoy the sight of the merry sailboats on the lake in the summer time or the kite-boarders on the ice in the winter time. Enjoy your meals al fresco on the bar-height iron patio table & chairs, or sit and converse on the comfortable Thomasville patio set. There is a gas grill available on the deck.
ACTIVITIES IN SUMMIT COUNTY
Summit County offers so many activities it is hard to describe them all. In the winter there is world-class skiing just minutes away at Keystone, Breckenridge Resort, Copper Mountain, Arapahoe Ski Basin & Loveland. If that isn't enough, Vail and Beaver Creek are 30 minutes away. The free Summit Stage transportation will pick skiers up just a block away and can take you to many of these ski resorts as well as to the Silverthorne Outlet Mall and other destinations such as the quaint, nearby town of Frisco. Other winter activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tubing hills for the young at heart, and dinner sleigh rides for a memorable, romantic evening. The rest of the year in Summit County is just as enjoyable (if not more so!) than the winters. Each Friday morning during the summer Dillon offers an amazing Farmers Market. Also during the summer you can enjoy (free) concerts at the Lake Dillon Amphitheater each Friday (“Friday Night Concert Series”) and Saturday (“Sunset at the Summit”) nights. The amphitheater is located one block from our condo.
Other summer activities include biking (bike rentals available right in town), hiking, boating, kayaking, sailing, fishing, horseback riding, and whitewater rafting.

We are Redgie & Valerie and live in the beautiful state of Colorado! We love to travel and experience new adventures as often as possible. Valerie has been involved in the vacation rental industry since 2002 (a former employee/Manager at VRBO/Homeaway until she retired in 2013.) We bought our first vacation rental property in Summit County, CO (VRBO 382) and now are happy to own three beachfront condos in the warmer climate of Florida (VRBO 2462, 232742 & 1231801)! Our fifth vacation rental (VRBO 1083701) is a home in Lynchburg, VA. We have loved sharing our homes with our guests over the years.

Why Valerie chose Dillon
We first visited Dillon in 2009. We had such a great time and were so awed by the majestic beauty of Lake Dillon and the mountains that we knew if we ever could buy a vacation rental property of our own this is where we would want to be. There is so much to see and do in Dillon and the surrounding area that no matter what the season, we always look forward to coming back and spending time here.
What makes this Condo unique
The unique benefit of this condo is the amazing view of the lake and surrounding Ten Mile Range that can be enjoyed from the large deck. The condo itself is one of the largest 2 BR units we saw when we were looking to buy. You can't beat it for spaciousness and the million $$ view!

Nice condo! Very clean, nicely furnished. Kitchen was very well stocked with any pot, pan, knife, cookie sheet, silverware, etc., that we needed. Bathrooms had plenty of towels, washcloths, etc. View from the deck was fantastic. Loved the condo and had a great time on our spring break vacation! Would certainly stay here again.
My friend and I really enjoyed this place. Kitchen and the rest all modernized, very well stocked kitchen and quality appliances, pots, pans, etc. Nice big bedrooms, nice master bath, excellent view of lake, and very central to all the ski resorts. Will likely stay here again!
Valerie was very communicative and obviously wanted to make our stay perfect and it was! Beautiful condo. Would be wonderful in the summer, too. Thanks for everything!
Beautiful View, Spacious, Quiet
We rent a condo every winter for a long weekend and this condo was by far one of the best! The view was unbelievable! The condo itself is very spacious and has all of the luxuries anyone could ask for. Close proximity to several ski resorts which is a huge plus!
