Beautiful farm house

  • 5 of 5

Very nice place, totally enjoyed our time there with our children. Nice location for the dunes and the leelanau area. Be aware there are no curtains on the windows, but very secluded so not a privacy issue but the sun is up early,

There where a few ants by the sink, and no place to put extra trash when the bin in the house was full.

Sleeping Bear Dunes Get Away

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the Isadore Farm!! The property is located in beautiful farm country set way back off the road, secluded and quiet. The house itself is beautiful - with exposed beams and lovely wood everywhere. The sleeping accommodations were we great, and the house has everything we needed for our vacation stay: bathroom with a nice shower, washer and dryer, big dinning room table for the whole family, and a massive island kitchen with a SWEET industrial stove that we loved playing with!!! We're looking forward to returning!

Property was wonderful and experience was great!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Northern Michigan and also the first time we rented a home for any vacation. The surrounding area was amazing and the scenery was so pretty. As for the home--it was wonderful. My kids loved every aspect of staying here. Roomy, architecturally interesting, and will all of the necessary components to make the stay great. Lynn was fantastic to work with and we would go back in a heartbeat.

This is a simple, quite place to use as a home base while exploring the region. It's conveniently located halfway between Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and Traverse City.

Overall, we were happy with the experience. The house hadn't been cleaned yet when we arrived at 6:45 PM, but the owner was apologetic. Another thing to keep in mind is that it isn't air conditioned, which may be an issue on some summer days.

Owner's Response: Just a quick clarification about the late cleaning. Due to a miscommunication regarding the schedule, these guests waited 45 minutes while my cleaning crew finished preparing the house for their stay. I refunded the full cleaning fee as compensation for the inconvenience. We have since implemented some checks and balances to prevent this situation from happening again.

Family Fun!

  • 5 of 5

We brought our 3 and 12 year olds on a mini-vacation before baby #3 arrives in August and had so much fun! The kids loved playing hide-and-seek in the house and waking up the easy path to the top of the property. It's close to everything, beaches, shopping, and sightseeing, without being in the middle of the busyness of Traverse City. It's a quiet little place with some great views. The only downfall was that with young kids and no curtains on any of the MANY windows they didn't sleep in very late. :) I would highly recommend this house!
