We booked the house for the Thanksgiving holiday. We were smitten as soon as we walked into the house. Everything was perfect. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner in the house and everything we needed was provided in the kitchen. It was perfect for entertaining. Beds were very comfortable. We also took advantage of the hot tub. It's within very short distance to the shops in downtown Saugatuck. The house was everything we expected and more. The wifi worked great. The washer and dryer were definitely a plus. The tv had Netflix for us to use, all we had to do is login into our own account. I definitely recommend this property!
I had never been to the Naugatuck area and staying at this house was the cherry on top of a great weekend. The house is a short walk to town and all the activities. Our visit was not high season so some of the shops and restaurants had closed for the season but we still had a memorable time. The only draw back was that the back yard was fenced but it was mostly deck so the dogs could not run around in the yard.
The Cozy Hideaway is the perfect place in Saugatuck! Plenty of space for 4-6 people for sleeping, eating, relaxing on the deck, and sharing a meal. Everything for the week was in its place when we arrived. Though we didn't think we'd need it, the AC was welcome as the temperatures rose at the end of our stay. We walked to nearly everything and the bike trail is very nearby. Mostly, we enjoyed each other's company and stayed around town. We did head to Virtue Cidery and Evergreen Lane Creamery one afternoon and really had a lovely time learning about cider and goat cheese! Who knew? And, of course, a rainy day is always a good time to visit the Blue Star Antique Mall. Don't miss Everyday People Cafe in Douglas.
I arrived early for Memorial Day weekend. I enjoyed the home very much. 2 adults and a small dog. I had to use my cable for my dog as she was able to get out of the fenced area in the back yard. There is a chain link there that could be unrolled and used but I didn't know if I could do that. A large dog would be fine though. I found the house good for us. I like my space so I would not add more people. There are 2 toilets but only 1 full bathroom. Furnishings were nice and clean. There is a Keurig so I had to buy pods at Uncommon Grounds. I walked to town multiple times which was nice as the town was packed and parking was crazy. I loved having a driveway! We went on the Star of Saugatuck and it was an enjoyable time. Ate at Hercules many times, Zing, Pumpernickles and Wallys. All very good. Check in and Check out was seamless. Jim is VERY nice and helpful! Shopped like crazy and ate too much candy from Kilwins! Thank you for having dog friendly places as our fur baby travels with us everywhere and is more clean and well behaved the screaming kids we see in town! Ha! All appliances and lighting was perfect. Thank you! Another great trip using Lakeshore!
It was a last minute decision, but my wife, dog and I decided to spend a long weekend in Saugatuck - our first trip to the Lake Michigan area. We worked with Lakeshore lodging and landed on this home which was perfect for our needs. The house is clean and has pretty much any amenity you could ask for. The yard, being fenced in, was perfect for our small dog, she enjoyed wandering around and keeping an eye on the neighborhood!!!
Came up for a last minute weekend getaway with my wife, our 1 year old and her parents. Bedroom and main bathroom on the main level was a plus for her parents. The upstairs bedroom was very cozy and a little quirky. We were pleasantly surprised by a very tiny half bathroom tucked into what we thought was a closet (we thought the bathroom on the main level was the only one). Walk to town was only 5/10 minutes, so we got a lot of nice strolls in. My only warning is it wasn't the most baby friendly: wide gaps in the upstairs railing, steeper stairs, and no railing on the deck. Otherwise, we had a really enjoyable stay!
