This is a very quiet and private residence, surrounded by live oaks and tropical foliage; everywhere you look there is green! Live Oak House has all the elegant and funky charm of a historic home, Florida style; high ceilings, large windows, serious crown molding, and hardwood floors throughout! There are three bedrooms, the master being quite large with a king size bed, single day bed, and writing desk. The other two bedrooms have queen size beds. There is also a single daybed and an optional inflatable queen bed for extra guests. The sun porch can serve as a fourth bedroom. The large living room contains a 52' flat screen TV, and a card/puzzle table. The kitchen is fully equipped, with gas range and wine cooler. The dining room is also spacious and opens onto the outdoor patio which over looks the pool; the patio contains a dining table and chairs as well as a cozy seating area. An upstairs washer/dryer makes doing laundry easy. Amenities include wifi and beach equipment! Bicycles are also available. Amazing, Charming Historic Home

Our stay was wonderful. The house is very spacious and comfortable. We had everything we needed right there. The children and adults thoroughly enjoyed the great pool. We would definitely choose this house again. Kathleen was a delightful hostess

Perfect. Absolutely perfect.

This was our first experience with a Vacation Home rental, and I can say with certainty that hotels are a thing of the past for us. This home was comfortable, close to everything we wanted to do, quiet, and completely above our expectations in every way. Kathleen works hard on all of the little things that truly make the difference. Everything from towels for the pool to a little personalized welcome sign on the front table. We were wowed. And to top it all off, Kathleen is a very nice, responsive owner. Completely unintrusive but responsive to needs. The house is a stunning 1924 beauty with everything you could want in a modern home.

Beautiful historic home!

Oh my, what can I say that hasn't already been said by other reviewers? My husband and I had originally reserved Kathleen's cottage which was absolutely gorgeous, homey and comfortable, but then after we arrived we decided to spoil ourselves and stay in Live Oak House. Since it was available, Kathleen made that process very easy. We loved our stay in the house - Kathleen is so artistic and decorated the house beautifully. Everything we could possibly need except food was provided. Actually, there were a number of items in a cabinet that Kathleen said other people had left and we were welcome to use such as salt and pepper, some spices, some coffee filters, coffee and tea, etc. The setting is very quiet, comfortable and relaxing, and we had a wonderful stay. The porch area and pool are inviting and so very pretty. Kathleen also provided two bikes which we really enjoyed riding to Lake Worth for dinner, and we even rode up to Palm Beach one afternoon on the gorgeous A1A scenic drive. There are many nice restaurants and coffee shops to ride bikes to, and the streets around the home are not busy so riding bikes up to a local park that overlooked the Intracoastal was also a lot of fun. We hope to stay in one of Kathleen's homes or cottages again soon!

One of Lake Worth's best kept secrets!

  • 5 of 5

I hesitate to write this review as this is arguably one of the best kept secrets in Palm Beach County, and we would definitely like it to be available for our golfing trip next year!

This exquisite property in located near the heart of a very eclectic city of Lake Worth. Old South charm meets secluded beach living in this lovely and spacious home just a stones throw from the inter-coastal. Three very large bedrooms, and a great floor plan make this an ideal property for families, couples or small groups. Well hidden in plain sight, everything about this property from the pool to the location is "privately perfect", and perfectly private!

Wonderful stay! Beautiful large home.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time and loved the Oak House. Very spacious for our whole family in Florida to attend a wedding. Well stocked kitchen. The large trees helped keep the house cooler and the patio with the canopy and lights was my favorite in the evenings. Kathleen was a very kind and attentive host and we couldn't have asked for more. Would love to return someday.
