Just blocks away from the entrance of Gulf of Mexico. A super-sized porch with a heated pool offers plenty of entertainment space.

With almost 2100 sq ft of living space, this Florida split layout is perfect for couples, families, or friends traveling together. The master bedroom has a full bath and is on one side of the home, separating it from the other 2 bedrooms and 1 bath with the living room, dining room, kitchen, family room, and laundry. The half bath in between has direct access to the pool area. The home has an open floor plan but has plenty of privacy for all.

Management company is a rip off

The house was very nice although the picture of the dock area is misrepresented. The view of the boat and dock is actually of the dock across the canal. The dock at the rental is full of coral and we were unable to utilize it for our boat as we did not want to damage the hull. Fortunately the neighbors were awesome and allowed us to use their dock. Unfortunately the property manager charged me a credit card transaction fee which she says my credit card company charged. My credit card company does not charge transaction fees. That fee is a fee that is charged to Wendy from Home away and she is simply trying to recover that charge thru the renter. This is a rip off fee that I have never experienced with Home Away. I am not the only one who has refuted this charge as there is another review stating the same. I don't have a problem with the utility fee as that was clearly stated but the transaction fee is totally bogus as my credit card company does not charge anyone transaction fees. Wendy will say that the agreement states fees charged by your credit card company will be passed along and try to justify it. However that's the point, that fee is not coming from my credit card company. Rip off and total disappoint from Home Away! Shame on you Wendy for ripping off people! Karma...

Owner's Response: Many guests have brought their boats and parked at the dock with no complaints. Regarding this aspect, this is the first time I have heard of any problems. After more detailed inspection, in your email, you simply stated "thanks for the stay.We enjoyed ourselves" without any word about the dock. I can only say if this property doesn't fit your needs, you are clearly free to book a different house for your next trip. Regarding the credit card transaction fee, in order to avoid any confusion, the following content is stated in the lease summary page: PLEASE BE ADVISED THERE IS A CREDIT CARD TRANSACTION FEE CHARGED BY YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY ON ALL CREDIT CARD TRANSACTION. AND YOU WILL BE FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PAYMENT. These statements are highlighted and displayed in bold print. You should have discussed this issue with me before checking in to avoid any disputes later. Bottom line, your credit card company deducted a certain fee as their service charge and transferred the remaining balance to HOMEAWAY. If you paid through your bank account, no such fee would be accrued. Again, the other 20+ positive reviews speak evidently for the experience of multiple other guests. Beautiful home in a great location!

This home was very clean, and in a great location. Also, the owner, Wendy, and property manager, Dave were easily accessible when needed for questions regarding our stay. We rented a boat while we were there and kept it tied up at the dock in the back yard canal. We saw dolphins in the canal right behind the house on several different occasions. We loved how the home was so close to the Cape Harbor Marina, Tarpon Point Marina, and Cape Coral Marina, and also main waterways which lead to Ft. Myers, Sanibel, Cabbage Key, and Captiva. We spent a lot of time shelling, fishing, sightseeing in our boat, or lounging in the pool. The home was well stocked with everything we needed. There are grocery stores and many restaurants within close proximity to the home. The only downfall I could mention is the electricity consumption charge and vertical blinds on all 3 sliding glass doors which lead out to the pool were broken and wouldn't close. We were fully aware of the electricity charges we may incur, so we kept the air conditioning unit set on 77 which is not really cool enough for a 2,000+ square foot home in Florida in the middle of July. After our first night we purchased a box fan to put in the bedroom so we could sleep comfortably. We were also only two people and didn't use 1/2 of the home, so I would think a larger family would definitely consume more electricity than we were charged for....this is just something to think about if you are considering renting this property. All three of the vertical blinds were broken and would not close, so all afternoon sunlight beaming through three glass doors did not help with trying to keep the house cool. All in all , we enjoyed our stay, would stay here again, and would recommend this property. All of the benefits and good things about it outweigh the electricity/heat issue.

The first 2 days on arrival was a little frustration was fixed immediately by owner!

We had a wonderful time beautiful views and amenities and quite, and neighbors were extra nice! We loved our stay! We were close to Venice beach where we found sharks teeth!Also Beantiful Sanibel island for shells beautiful shells. The manager Dave was wonderful and was very helpful if needed at any time! We will go back!! the neighbors shared wonderful mangos and bananas with us ! And owner Wendy Pen was wonderful thank you all for all who played a huge part in our stay at Cape Coral fla! We plan on coming back in the future!! Pool was great and inlet great to fish with family! Thank You for our wonderful vacation stay!

Very quite neighborhood and beautiful home

Love the house, it was nicely furnished and great location for Cape Coral. The location was perfect for us, it's conveniently close to groceries and restaurants. The neighborhood is quite and relaxing. The owner is quick to respond to our emails and phone calls. I highly recommend this place to anyone. We would definitely rent this house again next time we go to Cape Coral again.

Nice place
