Are you a major foodie and wondered what it would be like to experience New York like a real New Yorker? Do the CL ads offering nightly rentals just plain scare you?
Then you're clearly our kind of people. We've lived in the East Village for 4 years and recently bought a luxury 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of Alphabet City where we get the perks of luxury without the post-grad mayhem. But- we're now spending most of our time out of the country or at our beach house (see listing 428339), so our loss can be your gain!
Only 1 of 6 apartments in the building, you'll use a secure key in the elevator and walk directly into our sunny, brand new apartment- yes, that's right, like in the movies, the elevator opens into the apartment. Tres chic.
The apartment features a chef's kitchen with stainless steel, sub-zero fridge, silent dishwasher, WOLF stove and is STOCKED with chef's Japanese knives, gourmet cookware and tons of spices. We can also arrange to have groceries delivered to the apartment so it's stocked for your stay.
The apartment is SPACIOUS- 1400 square feet featuring a large open space living/dining area into kitchen. Dining set for 6 and eat in-kitchen with snazzy bar stools.
The 2 bedrooms are down the hall and there are 2 full luxury, hotel style bathrooms with rainfall showers. Master bathroom features a large soaking tub. Washer/dryer in unit. Guest bedroom features flat screen with movie library that you can also plug your apple product into.
We offer gourmet coffee, tea and nespresso for our European friends. We also provide designer toiletries and LUXURIOUS hotel spa bathrobes from our favorite spa resort in Switzerland so you still get the hotel feeling without the hotel prices.
We will be happy to provide you with suggestions to make your time in NYC the best stay you've ever had - especially restaurants and bars that are off the tourist trap and boutique shopping for underground designers and the latest and greatest.
Please note- check in is at 10 am and check out by 3 pm unless arrangements have been made.
Reliable transportation: less than a 5-minute walk to the L train and even closer to the M14 cross-town bus. Taxis are also easy to find from the corner and are cheap from this central location.

We've lived in the East Village for 5 years and are die hard NY foodies and wine people. We travel extensively for our jobs making our home available to people like you looking an unforgettable NY experience.
Anna Kaur purchased this apartment in 2011
East Village is about real people and is a real neighborhood where we get to know our local bartenders, chefs, and fruit sellers. It's the real NY.
You will not find a comparable luxury apartment on VRBO in the east village. You get the best of the village without the walk up, tiny old apartment!
Our family of four--mom, dad and two young adult children --spent 5 nights here. I was worried about renting like this, but it went flawlessly and we loved the unit. The owners were helpful without being at all intrusive, and the unit itself is beautiful.
The huge windows in the front as well as the balcony and lovely garden view from the back were so enjoyable, and not what you would expct from NYC. At the same time, it was very convenient to transportation, restaurants, shopping, etc. We didn't cook much, but the kitchen was fully stocked, and had all sorts of cool spices. There were high end toiletries provided and the bathrooms were quite nice.
We felt so comfortable and pampered. :-) Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.
Our family of four adults stayed here for two days and two nights. We wished we would have stayed longer.
The location was so convenient, getting around the city was a breeze and we all loved walking around the neighborhoods. The apartment fit our needs perfectly and it was extremely comfortable.
The thing that made this stay so positive was the owner. We were well prepared prior to our arrival in NYC. All our questions were answered on a timely basis and there were no surprises. We felt welcomed in the home and treated it as such. When traveling, one is asked, "Would you go there again, would you stay there again." The answer is YES!
for NYC this place was amazing. It is 1400 sq ft. It even had its own private elevator going directly to apt. They left a ref full of Indian beer and water and left a bottle of champagne for new years eve.Too much candy was left which my husband ate haha..
if you rent don't worry as the owner will eventually get back to you. That was my only concern as most VRBO owners answer questions immediately. But this couple travels a lot..would stay again.thanks
This apartment was everything that was advertised. It was roomy, comfortable, and clean. The neighbourhood is charming, safe, and close to transit. We walked to restaurants (there are lots within a 10-15 minute radius). The owner left a list of places to shop, eat and see.
This was a perfect home for our stay in New York City.
This apartment was exactly as pictured on the listing, was very well appointed with a great gourmet kitchen, and comfortable beds. The location in the East Village is on a quite side street, very near to lots of wonderful neighborhood restaurants, pubs and wine bistros. Had a delicious late night dinner at Nai Tapas Bar around the corner on 1st Ave. and a great Saturday Brunch at Northern Spy Food Co. just a few doors from the apt. Naina was very responsive and helpful with any questions.
Would definitely recommend this Apartment and will come back again ourselves.
Our family rented this great apartment in the East Village. We loved being a part of such a unique neighborhood. Very different experience from our visits staying around the Times Square Area. The listing was accurate regarding the location. Photos do not do justice! Very clean and the owner was helpful with any concerns and or questions. Owner gave fantastic advice about the neighborhood restaurants and entertainment. Had great luck ordering groceries/wine/spirits from Fresh Direct... the order arrived just as we did. Would highly recommend the apartment!
East Village is the heart of New York- it is an eclectic neighborhood with great local restaurants and bars and lots of community gardens. The apartment overlooks one of the largest community gardens. Great for runners too- located just a few blocks from the running and biking paths along the East River (FDR)
