For a frame of reference with this recommendation: My husband and I enjoy the road less traveled. We love immersion in the places we visit. We find resorts to be stifling. We chose this awesome cabin for several reasons. First; because it sits right on the water with full use of a paddle board, kayaks, snorkel equip and water toys. You can kayak to a nearby little island and snorkel. We had sea turtles poking up their heads all around us but esp by the island. You can pack a portable cooler -we always travel with one- and enjoy an evening paddle, watch the pelicans, float around on a calm evening and have a little picnic on the ocean kayak. You can go to one of many small local restaurants and enjoy fresh seafood. Secondly; the patio of this cabin is its crown jewel along with the beautiful views. Play dominoes or cards or hang in the hammock and read while you enjoy an amazing sunset. There are beaches nearby. We went to Rincón one day-fantastic. Third; while the cabin is rustic, it is clean and if there is one thing I do love; it is good sheets, nice towels and a comfortable bed. Lastly, Luis was extremely helpful and friendly. We texted him about when check out was, he offered that we did not have to rush and please enjoy a kayak before we left which we did. Rene met us at the house and was really great as well. Thank you so much-we loved your place!
My family (husband and two grown boys) thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Once we got the lay of the land (grocery stores, restaurants, etc.), we were set to enjoy our annual vacation to Puerto Rico. Though this house is located on a heavily-traveled road, the noise of the cars never distracted us from doing what we set out to do. This home has everything you need to enjoy and relax. Access to the kayaks was great, and we traveled over to Rat Island twice in the kayaks. We spent every evening on the magnificent porch playing board games and cards.
We traveled twice up to Rincon (where we have previously stayed) to Steps Beach, our favorite snorkeling spot. Unfortunately, due to the waves, we were unable to snorkel. However, we did enjoy lunch at the local lunch stand. Empanadas are a must!
We decided to make our way to Gilligan's Island in Guanica to check out this snorkeling destination and were very pleased!
Thanks to Rene for rushing to help us get checked in and providing us with great information to help us enjoy our stay.
If you are looking for a beach house with wonderful sunsets, access to kayaks, no more than 45 minutes to great snorkeling and off-shore fishing, this house is the place!
We, a family with kids aged 8 and 10, stayed for two full weeks in the Arias familys seaside home in Cabo Rojo and were so happy about it all. The small and simple house right by the sea has everything you need for a great holiday. It is a rustic holiday home, you find the luxury outdoors, with a small garden with the stunning view of the sea.
Luis were easy to get in touch with and very helpful with everything we needed both on arrival and during our stay. The location in Cabo Rojo is a bit off the main Tourist road, which we appreciated, with lots of nice beaches and places to visit not to far away. Lovely and easygoing seafood restaurants a couple of minutes walk down the road. Our only trouble was some pretty mean mosquitos in the evening (great porch with mosquito net allows you to spend the evening outdoors anyhow). You also have the road with traffic really close to the house, meaning that you hear the traffic all the time. You have both mosquitos and traffic all over Puerto Rico, not a particular problem for this lovely seaside house. It comes with the strongest recommendations.
Excellent house, very clean and lots of fun, near good restaurants and beaches everything you need for a exelent vacation.
WOW! WOW! WOW! For those of you whose definition of a perfect vacation is an ocean front (REALLY...) property with views to die for and sunsets that leave you speechless...SEARCH NO MORE...THIS BEACH HOUSE IS THE REAL THING! We have traveled with our children (now young adults) for many years and witnessed spectacular settings, so we are not easily impressed anymore... That being said, it was sensational to watch all my family members as they stepped out of the beach house's porch the first morning and one by one become perplexed by the beauty of the sight... An indescribably beautiful sight. On the inside, the beach house is in mint condition and offers every single amenity needed for a perfect vacation. Nevertheless, the magical experience begins the second one steps out of it... Our children kayaked and paddle-boated all around Joyuda's emerald waters, and enjoyed snorkeling in a coral reef right next to the beach house's dock. We even enjoyed two dolphins swimming next to our kayaks on our way to Raton Cay one morning! During the afternoons we sat at the house's private dock, watch the boats go by... and delighted in spectacular sunsets hard to be found anywhere else... One night we enjoyed one of Joyuda's seafood restaurants (many to choose from one minute away from the house), but the rest of the time we didn't want to leave the property..."Simply Irresistible"! Using the family size gas BBQ next to the ocean was heavenly. We spent the nights in the comfortable living room playing cards, table games, and watching movies! Last but not least, a standing ovation for Luis! Since the first time I emailed requesting some additional information until we left the beach house, his hospitality and willingness to make our vacation PERFECT were amazing! We appreciated his availability at all times, as well as that of his assistant, Rene. At all times we felt welcomed and very, very happy. We rented this beach house expecting a nice 4th of July quick escape...and ended up experiencing an unforgettable family reunion with memories to last a lifetime. On behalf of our family, we wish to thank Luis and his, for letting others enjoy their little piece of heaven...
This trip was a one of the best planned vacations I've ever had thanks to Luis and his gorgeous beach front home. I've stayed many places but not quite as beautiful as what you'll encounter by staying here. The pictures do not give the house justice of its beauty and the beauty of the immediate surrounding area. The house was pristine when we arrived and the owner(Luis) hospitality was suberb! This house is ideal offering its views, location, unique home style beauty that's difficult to encounter when traveling with family and friends. Ranging from the boat rental right on his dock, to snorkeling in a coral reef a stone throw away from his property, chill-axing at a nearby island, to finding fish in the close by Bioluminescent Bay and just relaxing at some of the near by white sand beaches this house has to offer makes it difficult to find any other place that could trump this house and its surroundings. I highly recommend this place and encourage people to contact Luis (owner)for a personal reference from me directly. In dealing with Luis(owner) he ensured we were going to have the best time by showing us all the activities in the immediate area and was such a hospitable host. My family and others that came to visit us from nearby a nearby hotel, will definitely be staying here in the near future as working with Luis is really what made this trip extra special!
Property is oceanfront with a private pier. Very safe for swimming and snorkeling. There is a reef system 50 yards away for snorkeling in crystal clear waters. Don't really have to go anywhere else. There are two double kayaks and a paddle board for your use. There is an option to rent a 23 foot Yamaha jetboat if you wish to explore the coastline and small fishing villages and towns like Boquerón and Puerto Real. The Joyuda lagoon can also be accessed with kayaks. Pristine beaches and particularly the lagoon. This is secluded place for an adventure and do not even need to leave the property to experience all kinds of water activities. There is also Pineros key with a beautiful beach some 20 minutes away on kayak in very safe and tranquil waters of the Caribbean.
