Jay Peak is the BEST! Just 3 miles from resort!

  • 5 of 5

Wow, Jay Peak is AWESOME! So much snow. My friends and I could not believe it.

The house was nice but the best part was that it was just 3 miles from the resort. Parking at the resort was a bit of a pain but we met up with friends who stayed on mountain and the shuttle system was a disaster so we were glad to have a car and be able to get out of there at the end of the day.

The house was clean, the kitchen was a bit small but worked for the six of us. I would definitely recommend having good snow tires. While the driveway got plowed regularly it snowed everyday and our one friend without good tires did have some problems.

We will definitely be back!

2nd time at Ray and Donna's... still awesome!

  • 5 of 5

This our second time renting Ray and Donna's Place but it was our first time ever being up at Jay for peak foliage. If you've never been you need to add it to your bucket list! The colors were so brilliant and stretched as far as the eyes could see. We took the tram up to the top of the mountain and couldn't believe how amazing it was.

The house was still great (just like last time.) It's located just down the mountain road from the resort and was perfect for the 5 of us. Mike the property owner was always available to answer questions and make suggestion for activities and dinning. We really had a great time and will be back.

Simple, comfy and close to the mountain!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the cabin for 3 nights while skiing at Jay Peak towards the end of the season. The stay was comfortable, simply, and a super easy drive to Jay Peak. Mike the property manager was very helpful as well. Looks like a wonderful place to stay in the summer as well.

Close to Jay Peak

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for a long weekend. It is about a 6 minute drive to Jay Peak Tram. It is right off of the access road. Also, it's about a half hour drive to Hannahford (supermarket) and there are other closer options like the Jay Country Store that's a few minutes away in the opposite direction of the mountain. There were 6 of us that went up (and a dog) and it was still pretty comfortable.

You can tell that this house is going through some renovations but it does the trick and is extremely convenient! Mike, the property manager, was extremely helpful and responsive to all of my questions and concerns. The kitchen has the basic utensils, there are crock pots, lots of pots and pans but there aren't any spices or anything of that sort so you will have to bring those yourself. The double bed upstairs is not the most comfortable thing but it is doable. Upstairs gets a little colder (but was perfect temperature for us) and the downstairs bedroom gets all the heat (so leave that bedroom door open). There isn't a fireplace hooked up but it looks like they are in the process of hooking one up.

Clean, Cozy, Convenient!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for the long weekend and it was the perfect getaway for a family of 5. The road the house was on was very private but only 5 minutes from the house to Jay Peak. Just down the hill is the JVI "Jay Village Inn." They have huge portions, reasonable prices and a cool vibe. The fact we could bring our dog on our trip was a serious plus and the kids enjoyed the netflix tv. Overall it was a great vacation and we'd definitely rent here again.

Another great to Jay

  • 5 of 5

This is our 5th trip to Jay in 3 years so we knew what we wanted, close to the mountain and dog friendly. The house was both as well as clean and warm. The kitchen could have used a couple things like a big cutting board and some Tupperware. The weather could have been a little warmer but we saved enough renting midweek that we'll be able to come back up in March or April.
