For lighthouse seekers, Cheboygan is home to two of its own, plus two more easily visible from our beautiful city beach on Lake Huron. Three more lighthouses are thirty minutes or less away, and most are open to tours. Cheboygan is also the home port of the Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw.

Cheboygan offers opportunities for fishing, hiking, cross country skiing, kayaking, hunting, and numerous other outdoor activities. For those that prefer to stay indoors, our local merchants will warmly welcome you to a variety of novelty shops, retail outlets, entertainment facilities, casual and fine dining, and much more.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We stayed during the coldest weekend of the winter (so far...). For the most part the home has everything we needed. The pull out couches are really nice to sleep on.

There is a group of ducks in the river that are great to watch! Johnny's and Mulligans down the street are good places to eat and have a beverage.

Great location, plenty of room for all the guests. Great wifi signal and Data quality.

Upstairs is really cold. Most of us slept on the floor of the living room. Would have loved to use the washer and dryer too.

Enjoyable stay, nice home, would come back for sure.

Thanks for a good weekend Kris and Mary!

Please keep parking to paved driveway or street only. Neighbor owns property on both sides and uses the gravel to the north of property for tenant parking. Please do not park there. If you have a boat that is going to be docked, use only the dock in front of the rental house. Docks on each side are private property and not for rental use. Thanks for your cooperation.

We had a wonderful time. Beautiful view with the water and large deck. All the amenities we needed to enjoy our family and friends in Michigan. We were able to fish off the deck, bbq and be stress free. Kids loved being able to still be connected with the wifi and the smart tv. House is within walking distances to downtown area and the new bridge. Questions and concerns were answered immediately and taken care of. Can't wait to come back and visit.

Very pleased with the place.

Members of our family stayed together there and prepared an anniversary party for us. They liked the convenience of being close by and the fully equipped house in which they could finalize the plans.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

The house was as described, except for the grill. There was plenty of room for 3 couples to stay. The deck was the best part of the house. We had our coffee each morning on the deck and watched the boats go by. The fishing off the deck was excellent. We used the dock for our boat and had quick access to Lake Huron. We had to go through the boat lock to access Indian River, which was a cool experience. I would recommend staying at the property.

Bridge walkers

  • 4 of 5

This house was very cool. Older home with lots of charm. Not necessarily the place for you if you have trouble walking downstairs or have small children because the deck is massive with lots of stairs and the water off the dock is at least 10 feet. The house is fully equipped with all the dishes and utensils you need. The bedding, towels and furniture are very nice quality. The owner was also very helpful in helping my crew get transportation to the Bridge Walk for our Labor Day weekend (thanks Mary!). Good place to stay if you have a boat to take out into Lake Huron.

We loved it!

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for us. There was a lot or room for everyone to do what they wanted. The guys enjoyed fishing off the deck. I loved sitting at the kitchen table, with my book and coffee, watching the boats go by. The smart TV was a hit with our daughter.

We ate a delicious breakfast at "Alice's Restaurant". Nice people there. We did some shopping at the local thrift stores and downtown shops.

I think the best "surprise" for me was the bed we slept in. NO BACKACHE in the morning. Thank you for that.

I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. We hope to return sometime ourselves.
