Wonderful holiday in this remote converted farmhouse nestled among the forested hills of the Luberon. Great for hiking and foraging, large pool 500m from the house. Charming local town with basics but 30 min to decent supermarkets and restaurants. Terrific lakes for swimming and boating within 1 hour, sea 1.5 hrs away. Hope we can come back soon!
We spend two weeks with 7 adults and 4 children at the wonderful estate in Beaumont de Pertuis.
The estate ist huge and cosy. The estate is about 2 kilometers from Beaumont and there is no other house or appartement nearby. We were welcomed in english and we got an introduction to all facilies by a friendly caretaker.
Every room in the house has something special. There are lots of paintings, arts, nice furniture and nearly everything you need for holiday. The kitchen is very well equiped and there is a huge and nice collection of dishes and cutlery. You can cook with gas or electro and there are two ovens.
On the estate you will find lots of sculptures which makes the place interesting and special. The pool is huge but about 200 meter from the house. As the property is very huge and no one comes along this wasn't a problem.
In Beaumont you will find a small supermarket. Other large supermarkets you find about 15 - 20 km in Pertuis and Manosque. You can have a walk on the property and in the area. For all other kinds of trips you need a car. Lots of places are reacheable in 1-2 hours and worth visiting.
The caretaker was absolutely helpful and friendly. We had no problems with the booking procedure.
Although our holiday seemed expensive it was worth "any penny" of it. We can absolutely recommend this special and wonderful estate.
