The apartment is a fully furnished and fully outfitted serviced temporary residence apartment appointed with executive level furniture, elegant home furnishings/accents, state of the art electronics, and luxurious linens and towels. The apartment is outfitted with a very comprehensive kitchen, housewares, and cookware package. Our apartment is a luxury 2-Bedroom / 2-Bath apartment with a living room sleeper sofa, located right in the heart of the very trendy Courthouse, Arlington neighborhood – just minutes from Mid-DC and Georgetown!
This apartment has a complete view of the Washington DC Skyline / All Monuments / and The Potomac River from all windows of the apartment - including the floor to ceiling living room windows! We also several apartments, virtually identical to this one, on upper floors, with a Virginia facing view. The DC facing Skyline View apartment is available based on availability.
The building is located across the small green area from Courthouse METRO station on the very convenient Orange Line, just outside of the DC city limits. It is 2 short METRO stops into mid-DC - less than 6 minutes on the METRO or by car.
Apartment: The apartment is located in a newer, modern high-rise building. It is a spacious 2-Bedroom / 2-Bath full-size apartment at 1150 sq. ft. The in-apartment amenities include - over-sized picture windows, walk-in closets, and track lighting.
The apartment offers essential amenities like wall-to-wall carpeting, ceramic tiled baths, crown molding, a gourmet kitchen, and abundant storage space. The quality of the furniture and housewares in our apartments is head and shoulders above our competition.
The apartment Kitchen is a full kitchen with full size appliances including a built in microwave, dishwasher, gas range, stove, pantry, and a full size refrigerator with freezer and ice-maker. There is a washer and dryer in front hall closet of the apartment.
The Living/Dining Room is spacious with a full size sofa, accent chair, and coffee and end tables. The large dining table with 6 dining chairs seats 6 comfortably and there are 2 extra padded folding chairs located in the front hall closet. The sofa folds out to a very comfortable Queen sleeper.
The TV package includes expanded digital cable channels, all HD channels, plus Starz HD. The living room TV is a 42“-HD 1080i flat- screen Smart TV, the bedroom TV is a 32” HD 720i flat screen, and the stereo plays iPhone/ iPod. The Living Room TV is internet accessible so you may watch your own Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc. The private in-apartment Wi-Fi is free of charge. The apartment phone system includes free nationwide long distance, free local calling, and voicemail.
There is a King size bed in the Master Bedroom, a Queen size bed in the Second Bed Room, and a very comfortable Queen sleeper sofa in the Living Room. The mattresses are Double Pillow Top. The sheets are 400 thread count Egyptian cotton. Each bedroom has a walk-in closet. There are 2 full bathrooms. There is a soaking tub with shower in Master bath.

Spend your leisure time in the community by availing yourself to the first class community facilities. There is a magnificent outdoor split-level cascading pool with Jacuzzi. Courthouse, Arlington is a very hip and trendy urban young-professional area and this building is right in the middle of it all. There are many restaurants, clubs, shops, and activities within close walking distance. There is a Whole Foods grocery store within 3 blocks of the property.
Parking: Secured access underground parking at the property with secured apartment elevator access is only $10/night per vehicle - if purchased in advance for the entire stay.

This is a newer high rise building in the heart of the hip and trendy Ballston area.
VALUE - The rental rates at this property are much less than mid-DC rates, but the building is just minutes from the heart of mid-DC on the METRO, and thus a great DC Visit Value.
FAMILY FRIENDLY - The building and neighborhood are VERY family friendly!
QUALITY – Our apartment quality is far ahead of any of our competitors – Our furniture, housewares, sheets, towels, linens, and electronics are far superior to any in our market.
AMENITIES - The property has a Fitness Center, an Executive Business Center, and a Grand Club room with an adjoining billiard room. The Grand Clubroom opens out to the poolside patio area that has patio furniture and gas grills for you use.
CUSTOMER SERVICE – We are a small family run business each person here to serve you is an “Owner”.
POOL - The property has MAGNIFICENT 2-tiered double swimming pool with cascading waterfall between the 2 tiers. There is also a poolside Jacuzzi
VIEW – We have only upper floor apartments with great views. Several select apartments have DC Skyline / Monument Views.
Visited the DC area with a family of 5 [3 little children]. Close to the metro, AMC theater, eateries. Clean and well appointed apt. Quiet and all amenities provided [if you are thinking of using the sleeper sofa you will need to bring extra linens and etc]. We were able to drive or take the metro everywhere within 20-30 minutes. Will definitely rent from Zen again.
Our communications with Mark was excellent. He worked with my sister & I to have a great experience with our 78 year old parents visiting Washington, DC for the first time. The front desk was warm & welcoming. We had no issues with check in. The apartment was well equipped and furnished with nice furniture and good mattresses. Finding the local restaurant menus and the map in a drawer was a life saver. We were absolutely thrilled with the view. We used the Metro Rail that was less than two blocks away. We enjoyed the Court House Plaza restaurants and stores. Having the small market downstairs was very advantageous. We had a marvelous time touring the city all day, but a calming, relaxing place to wind down and rest in the apartment all night. We really loved it. It made good memories great. Thank you!
Only a block and a half from the Metro makes this condo a perfect place to stay for a family wanting to visit the sites of DC. If not eating in, plenty of eating out choices nearby. Condo is clean and quiet with lots of amenities. A home away from home.
I honestly can't say enough!!! The apartment was spacious and perfect for our family of 5 (3 of which are teenagers)! It was clean, well stocked, and walking distance to restaurants (ate at the Cheesecake Factory and an ice cream shop that made the ice cream right in front of you with liquid nitrogen--so cool!), as well as a stores like CVS/Walgreens/Fresh Food Market, and my have to have every morning...Starbucks. Loved having the parking garage each day and the wonderful view! Only think I would note--pool closes at 8pm, not a bad thing, but good to know. On the positive, the pool has a lifeguard on duty which is nice and the patio had 2 grills and lots of seating for eating outside if you would like. The area is very safe and there were people out jogging on the beautiful paved roads/walkways day and night. Even walking distance to a movie theatre and very close to Arlington Cemetery and the typical tourist sites over there. Very short drive or commute to DC. Mark was wonderful through the entire process! Thanks again!!!
Our family traveled to DC in late July in order for the kids (12, 12, 11) to get a sense of where we come from and how we got here. We arrived very late in the evening (midnight) and the young woman at the front desk had our package, keys, and parking pass ready to pick up when I walked in. Building was very clean, new-ish, secure, and had a bodega with everything from breakfast to wine on the first floor with a very kind woman who made the kids breakfast a couple of times and we were able to get soda, water, etc till 10pm most nights. The parking was great, secure, and a good value @$10-- made the decision to take the Metro (one block up the hill) daily simple. The police dept. and Courthouse are right up the hill, and Wilson Ave. and Clarendon Blvd. were about 5 mins away with lots of food choices (even a Ben's Half Smoke!), multiple Starbucks, a Whole Foods, etc. just a couple of blocks in either direction. Arlington Cemetery and the Pentagon were only a few blocks away and both had easy parking as well. We had no issues with the condo, pool had a lifeguard (but closes at 8pm), the staff downstairs were helpful, and the neighborhood was ridiculously safe (lots of young people walking alone at night to and fro). Unit had w/d, 3 flat screen TV's with cable, etc. Will absolutely use Zen again if they have properties where we go next summer.
We had a great stay at the Avalon and want to extend our thanks for the hospitality we experienced.
The space was comfortable, clean and cheery. It was well equipped and the bed was superb (we even looked at the brand and model).
Local area had grocery shopping options, easy access to metro, convenient parking, great exercise and pool deck areas. And obviously well located.
Best was the interface with Zen Hospitality and the staff of the Avalon. We felt totally at home.
