Casa Norte is a lovely three-bedroom and two-bathroom villa with a detached one-bedroom and one-bathroom guesthouse also located on the property. The house rests less than one block from the beach, just north of the left surf break. This is a very quiet neighborhood with other elegant villas and vacation rental properties. Being so close to town, the beach, and no hills mean you don't need a golf car or rental car during your stay.
Casa Norte is privately located behind two large gates (secure parking) which open up to the beautiful garden/pool area equipped with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and a large step in the pool to keep you cool. The grass yard is highlighted with natural tropical plants and flowers. If your are lucky, you might even be able to eat bananas directly from our trees.
The large outdoor palapa-covered living/dining area is big enough to easily accommodate every member of your group. Strategically placed fans ensure constant fresh air throughout the day and nights. The kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary equipment to prepare lavish meals or freshly caught fish. For an additional fee, a private chef can be provided.
The master bedroom is spacious and bright due to the door that opens to the garden and pool. A king sized bed allows for comfortable sleeps and the big private bathroom has plenty of room for all your belongings.
The two other bedrooms are traditional in size and have a king sized bed and 2 twins (which can be converted into another king).
Bathrooms are spacious and are equipped with soap/shampoo/conditioner for your convenience as well as blow dryers.
The 2nd story guesthouse is separate from the main house and has big sliding doors to the views of the garden and pool. It provides a queen sized bed and private bathroom.

We both grew up in cold and snowy Utah. Mandi is an amazing 10 year plus, experienced realtor who knows the value of building and maintaining relationships with her customers. Frank is a entrepreneur who has started several successful companies, including a software company that he sold to Charlie Munger, associate of Warren Buffet and Vice Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway.
Now Mandi and Frank and our seven year old world traveler, Paislee split our time between Ogden, Utah and Sayulita, Mexico.
We look forward to getting to know you and sharing your stories of how you found your way to Sayulita.
Casa Norte purchased this house in 2011
Our journey to Sayulita was serendipitous. When a planned trip to Cabo San Lucas fell through due to a hurricane, we quickly changed our plans to spend a couple of days in Puerto Vallarta and a couple of days in Sayulita.
We immediately fell in love with the people, vibe and pace of Sayulita. Over the course of the year we ventured back to Sayulita a dozen times and stayed in MANY homes. When we stayed at Casa Norte (formerly Casa Conchita), we knew that our life was about to change. The attention to detail of the home maintained a balance of local flair, but had a chic modern interior design. The prior owners Storm and Courtney Richardson spared no expense when they re-modeled Casa Norte. They were amazing hosts, and created a culture of service with every renter.
Now we own the place that we loved so much, are excited to share this amazing property and maintain this culture of service with each of you. We hope that your trip here leads you on your own serendipity path.
- Extreme detail and design into the accommodations from beautiful tile work, remodeled interior, kitchen.
- A two minute walk to the beach. How can you beat that?
- Each bedroom has an air-conditioner.
- Modern washer and dryer in the home makes your trips so comfortable and gives you all the reason to extend your stay.
- One of the biggest pools as close to the beach in town.
- Interior design by prior owners is amazing. Each item was perfectly chosen.
- Outdoor dining and seating area is located in a ceiling fan cooled palapa. Experience Sayulita like you should experience Sayulita... outdoors.
Oh my goodness what a great casa! Love, love , love this place! Can't say enough about the beautiful, relaxing ,modern and comfortable home. This home is laid out so nice! The outdoor living area is such a nice touch. Beautiful pool and landscaping, dinning and seating area! We were surprised at how close the home was to everything. We Walked to the beach, delicious restaurants and fantastic shopping. Definitely coming back as soon as possible!!!!!
Absolutely everything about our stay at Casa Norte was flawless. From the initial booking process with Frank months prior to our stay, to the end of our trip, and every moment in between, we were beyond pleased. Frank was incredibly helpful and accommodating and we could not have asked for a better host. The home itself is not lacking in any imaginable way. It was clean, orderly, and filled with quality accommodations. Our group of 8 stayed very comfortably and never felt as if space was limited. Housekeeping came every couple of days to straighten up and keep our living quarters feeling fresh. The pool is outstanding, too! Our group spent much of our time on the covered patio area where we had room to relax or interact, depending on our mood. The proximity to the beach is also unbeatable. A hop, skip, and a jump, and you're standing on the sandy beach of the Pacific, just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the hotels, but close enough to be part of the action, if desired. Pharmacies and convenient stores are abundant and a very short walk from Casa Norte as well. Overall this home and its owers are beyond fantastic and impressive. I would recommend Casa Norte to any travelers who want to stray slightly from the beaten path but would also like a glimpse if the mood strikes. We cannot wait to return! Thanks again, Frank and Mandi!
7 friends met for 8 nights at Casa Norte to enjoy a 40th birthday celebration. Everything was fantastic! Great location, lovely pool, outstanding outdoor space to hang out and play games in the shade. Cold A/C and a great, functional kitchen. A five minute walk into town to grab a grocery item or go to dinner. 3 minutes to the end of the street to the beach. Don't miss Tropical House restaurant about 100 steps away for a fantastic breakfast/lunch complete with the best bloody marys and smoothies! The house is quiet at night as it is on the north side and a just enough blocks off of the plaza. Maid service every other day was appreciated and kept everything tidy. The video is great but the pictures do not do justice to what you will find behind the gate of Casa Norte.
We had a birthday dinner cooked by Bocadito Catering on recommendation of the Casa Norte's owner. It was awesome! We also went with the recommendation for transportation that was super convenient and they even took us to Costco from the airport prior to making our way into Sayulita.
If you want to truly RELAX - This is the rental for you! I would definitely recommend to others and look forward to rebooking in the future!
first time to Sayulita, loved the town, loved the beaches
casa Norte was super funky, super cool -had 4 kids they all enjoyed the pool and the layout
guest house was great too-
the dining room and living areas are outside which we loved
the place had everything we needed, super close to the north beach and great parts of town
my only piece of advice is don't go to Mega on the way from PV airport, in all my experiences in mexico it is a soul crushing experience after your travel day-
the house is close enough to everything you need and you can skip the beating -lesson learned
We stayed at Casa Norte in January of 2016 with 4 adult couples and one baby. We could not have had a better experience. The care and attention that went into ensuring that every single one of our needs were met was something that I truly appreciate. The house was impeccably clean, the beds were super comfortable, the bathrooms and bedrooms spacious and functional. One couple brought their 11 month old and they stayed in the small apartment in the back of the property and it could not have worked out better. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. The highlight for us was the beautiful palapa and pool where we spent the majority of time when we were home. The location to the town and the beach could not have been better. We fell in love with Sayulita and Casa Norte! We will absolutely be staying at Casa Norte again. We loved every second of it and cannot think of single complaint or suggestion for improvement.
10 years ago I came to Sayulita on a surf trip, back then it was a small town/fishing village with a quaint atmosphere. There wasn't a ton of people, the roads were dirt (except around le Plaza and the main road coming from the HWY) and the beach was empty for the most part. Now this village has blossomed into a full little city with bustling commerce everywhere you look. Coffee houses, restaurants and small unique stores are busy with vacationers from all over the globe. Amongst all hustle and bustle you'll find Casa Norte, set back a block from the beach and just far enough from the crowds to be a pleasant personal oasis from the well known Sayulita life. Casa Norte is a perfectly located on the north side of the city, a stones throw away from the beach and Sayulita night life. The house has the perfect amount of serenity for a quite retreat and the enough room to house a large family. The pool sets this house apart from all the rest. If the Beach is too crowed or the beach break is too strong, come back to your pool and enjoy some music and a cocktail with your friends and family. The only thing I regret is not staying longer. Case Norte has all the cooking utensils you need so I would recommend stopping at a mega (sort of like a Wal-Mart) to purchase provisions such as meats, butter and the basics you will need. The biggest change in Sayulita is the price for goods and services, it's comparable to the states, so be prepared to spend the same on dinner as you would at home. Other than that I would recommended Casa Norte to everyone who wishes to travel to Sayulita. You couldn't ask for a better place to spend a few days in the Sayulita life.
My family just returned from a week at this villa and our experience was great! The home is just as beautiful (if not more so!) than it appeared in the photos. The decoration was lovely, beds were comfortable, and location was fantastic! One thing that's worth noting is that there's no communal hangout area inside - the living/dining room are outdoors (and covered). I actually loved the layout and spending time outside with the exception of dusk when the mosquitoes would come find us out there - bring some bug repellent with you! Fortunately we found they only stick around for less than an hour or so, and evenings spent outside playing games and drinking margaritas definitely made up for this slight inconvenience. I would definitely recommend this home and hope to have the opportunity to come back for a stay again soon!
