Below are short descriptions of our studio's neighborhood.
Gangnam area: Gangnam is a place to share the vitality of businessmen, professionals in their work and life in a place like New York's Manhattan.
Garosu-gil: Considered the Soho of Seoul, Garosu-gil was where aspiring Korean artists used to set up their studios, away from the more expensive Gangnam districts. Now it has become lined with Asian and European fusion restaurants and cafes, latest fashion and designer clothing and accessory boutiques, art galleries and nightclubs.
Ambling along, visitors may browse the designer boutiques then settle down at quaint restaurants that give the street a classy, privileged atmosphere. Art galleries further color these roads, as do the fashionable people that you are bound to see.
COEX Mall: COEX Mall is the largest underground shopping center in Asia. It is located in the basement of the Korea World Trade Center, located in Samseong-dong in the Gangnam-gu area of Seoul. The colossal shopping center stretches from Samseong station (subway line 2) in the south all the way to Bongeunsa temple in the north, and is considered to be the best shopping and entertainment complex in the area.
Apgujeong Rodeo Street : Apgujeong is Seoul's luxury fashion mecca. And in the center of Apgujeong's fashion world is Rodeo Street. The name and concept of Apgujeong's Rodeo Street takes after the Beverly Hill fashion street, Rodeo Drive. It's where fashion can be met first and on a daily basis, and where new trends and culture can be experienced.
The beginning of Rodeo Street is located across the street from the Galleria Department Store. The entrance of the street is marked with a special archway. Past the archway is a multitude of shops, both featuring fashion from Korean brands and international designer labels. Shopping ranges from the extremely affordable to luxury labels. You can get a t-shirt for as low as 10,000 won, or a designer (phone number hidden) won! The beauty of Rodeo Street is that you can experience all sorts of shopping.
Rodeo Street is also filled with cafes, restaurants, and bars, making it fun to visit during the day and at night.

Everything worked great. It was affordable and close to the Gangnam Subway Station so we could get everywhere including the Express Bus Terminal and hotels where I had a lot of meetings. The duplex was smaller than the pictures appear and the bedroom had a very low ceiling which made it difficult to get in an out of. The owner was very nice and the overall set up worked well. Pretty good size refrigerator by Korean standards and bathroom had full stand-up shower so that was convenient and easier for getting cleaned up. A/C worked well. It was just right for our needs. We ended up with three adults sharing the duplex and I'd say it is really better for two individual adults or a family with two small children.
We just got back from Korea. This is the first time I ever give anyone review. I wanted to give this place a great feedback.
The location was incredibly convenient. The bus stop to Incheon airport was literally right in front of the building. The subway was very close. The Korean subway system is well designed and convenient to get to places and inexpensive, about $1.50 each way. There are a lot of small Korean restaurants and they are inexpensive.
The host was very helpful whenever I had questions or needed help. The place was clean and had everything you may need including umbrellas in the closet. We loved the place and the host was wonderful. We will definitely use the place when we visit Korea next time!
