The house is self catering and a house keeper comes in every second day for household chores and cleaning. The apartment is Wifi enabled with a prepaid connection.
Goa is not high ranked on public transport. Just round the corner are hired / self drive cabs and bikes on hire. Or for a good bargain, we can put you in touch with someone reliable to hire from, for longer period.
We are both Goans easy to chat up and keen on hearing about what happens in your part of the world too! We encourage longer staying guests. This is our home where we used to stay for a couple of years until our daughter moved to a school in a different part of Goa and we hope you will treat it like home too!
House Rules: This is our personal apartment which we have done up carefully over the years, any kind of breakage (cutlery, wall hangings, vases etc) /damage (walls, kitchen/bath fittings, curtains etc..) will be billed accordingly.
We expect our guests to respect the home and its serene surroundings during their stay.
We had a very good stay at this accommodation which is well equipped and suitably fitted. Yshana was an excellent and very caring host - she was easy to contact and always keen to sort out any issues that arose. With the currency issues in India at the time we were concerned as to how we would pay for car hire but Yshana ensured that the taxi company could be paid through her by bank transfer rather than in cash as is often the case.
There was plenty of food supplied and the maid who came three times a week did cook for us on occasion - and the food she produced was excellent.
The apartment is well located and within easy reach of the city - quite a long walk but auto rickshaws are readily available from the main road which is a few minutes walk. There are good supermarkets close by and The Marriott Resort is directly opposite - it was possible to get day membership for the use of the pool and spa. There is no shortage of good restaurants within walking distance.
The only real issue we had with our stay was a lack of a television - there is one on the description but it has clearly been removed - a table top one was brought the day before we left but there were no connections to use it. However Yshana did allow us to the internet download limits which let us get the news etc on-line.
It would have been nice to have somewhere to sit out and enjoy the excellent weather but there is no facility for this - a minor issue.
All in all we had a good time and would recommend it if you are looking for a quiet property in a local residential location with easy access to all that Goa has to offer.
