This rental was what we needed for a ski week at Homewood. Warm and dry with a magnificent family dining table that seats 8 people. Owner was very responsive and accommodating. Driveway was kept clear of snow, and we had a lot of snow! Updated kitchen, dishwasher, plenty of hot water, great location. Would definitely rent again.
Firewood was not provided so we brought our own, would have been a lot more convenient if supplied with the rental. Cookware was lacking but manageable. This is not a fancy smancy place, it is exactly what it needs to be for a fun family visit.
This cabin is in a great location for access to Homewood for skiiing, for snow play at Sugarpine Point, and for other West Tahoe attractions. It easily accomodates 8 people with a large, well appointed kitchen and great room with views of the woods. Beds and bedding are comfortable. The two bathrooms have good showers and towels. Laurel, the owner, is very accessible and helpful, even though she lives in Texas.
We rented this house for two weeks in July and had a great time. The home sleeps nine people comfortably. It is a block away from the Lake and close to Homewood, Chambers Landing, Tahoma and Meeks Bay. I went to the Tahoma market everyday to get a newspaper and then came back and relaxed on the front deck with a cup of coffee. It is very peaceful and relaxing in this area. Laurel had just stayed the week before we came and had put in a ceiling fan in the master bedroom and a floor fan in all of the other bedrooms including the master. There is a nice big dining table which is great for dining and game nights. A big plus that goes with this rental is the pool, beach and tennis privileges that are included at Chambers Landing. The pool is very nice and the temp in the pool is good(much better than the lake). A great beach to go to is at Meeks Bay(Not far). All in all we had a very nice vacation and the stay in this home and the area were a big part of it.
We rented this house for the winter with a few friends and our experience was top notch. It's a very spacious cozy cabin with an awesome deck, great living space and ample sleeping arrangements. It's a great location on the west shore very close to Homewood, and a quick drive to Tahoe City and Squaw/Alpine. Additionally, we came to find there was a leak from the roof in one of the bedrooms after a storm and Laurel was very responsive in answering our call and getting someone there ASAP to fix the leak. I'm sure it would be awesome in the summer as well as you're near Sunnyside and Chambers and just a quick walk from the lake.
I have now stayed at this house for two consecutive winter seasons and it truly feels like my second home. Everything is kept up so well and Laurel is great to work with. From our first to second season they got new counter tops and a beautiful LARGE dining room table. The house has multiple decks with a grill.
The street is nice and quiet. It leads directly down to the water 1 block away. It's also very close to a small food market and Tahoe city if you want nice restaurants/bars. I can't say enough about this place.
The house has a ton of space and fits 8 people in beds very comfortably. The deck is great for grilling and relaxing outside, and the kitchen inside has everything you need for a big group meal. I love the location since it's 1/4 mile from the water, 15-20 minutes from Alpine and Squaw and doable drive to South Lake. I think the place is wonderful for friend groups or big family gatherings....definitely would recommend!
easy access to Squaw Valley, Alpine and Homewood ski areas, short drive to cross country skiing at Sugar Pine Point State Park
