This is an independent apartment. located within Morelia’s historical downtown, only two blocks from Madero Avenue.
The apartment is fully furnished and nicely decorated in the Mexican colonial style.
It is located on a second floor and has three bedrooms, where up to six persons may stay. There is one king size bed in the main bedroom and two twins in the other two rooms ( a cot may be added if requested), all bedrooms have cable TV.
The kitchen is fully equipped and there is wi-fi connection covering the entire apartment.
There are also two bathrooms with plenty of hot water. All towels and linen are provided and changed for fresh ones once a week, when the maid comes to clean the apartment.
Perhaps the cherry on top of the cake is the very private outdoor terrace where guests may sit and enjoy sunny days or fresh evenings in total privacy.
The apartment is located very close to San Juan Market where fresh vegetables, flowers and more may be found every morning.
The apartment has no garage, but there is a parking lot within walking distance.
I trust you will keep this lovely apartment as a great memory of your trip to Morelia!!!

I am from Morelia, but did my university and postgraduate studies in Switzerland. I am a University professor now and travel frequently between Mexico, Europe and North America. Traveling and teaching are my passions. I am not to far from turning 50, obviously very young and ready to continue enjoying life!

I am from Morelia and I knew this propierty would be a great investment.
The location is very central within historical downtown Morelia. It is only two blocks from Main Avenue (Madero Oriente). Just steps from beautiful Villalongin garden, Calzada de San Diego, Callejon del Romance and El Bosque park. The decoration is very Mexican and I hope you find it tasteful.
This apartment is ideal if you like urban settings in an historic neighborhood. Its location is convenient for shopping, about a 10 - 15 minute walk to Morelia Cathedral, and a 5 minute walk to the aqueduct. There is a bus stop in front of condo, and restaurants of all types and prices are nearby.
For shopping, the apartment is across from "Tu Plaza” and "Mercado Revolución". The former sells mainly clothing. The latter sells fruits, vegetables, meats, flowers, etc. Both have a large selection of cafes and snack bars. There's a 24 hour pharmacy (Guadalajara) three blocks away. Supermercados (Soriana, for example) and a large shopping center (Las Américas) are a 15-30 minute bus or taxi ride from the apartment.
Taxis are plentiful, and most public transport is on "colectivos" (15 passenger vans). The color coded colectivo route system is fairly easy to learn. Fare is 7 pesos as of July 2016. Pay the driver upon entry, or if you don't have your money ready, just take a seat and ask your fellow passengers to pass your fare forward (drivers will make change, but not from large banknotes). It's customary for passengers to greet one another upon entry / exit with a simple “buenos(-as) días/tarde/noche". A good interactive website for colectivos is at buscaturuta.mx
For trips outside of Morelia, the TAM (Terminal Autobuses Morelia) is northwest of centro (use taxi or colectivo).
Morelia is safe (with the usual precautions one takes in any large city). The parks (Villagongín, for example) are beautiful. Historic sites (cathedral, churches, chapels, sanctuaries, aqueduct, etc.) are all well maintained.
One important point about this apartment - it's fantastic if you are accustomed to city living. The market starts setting up at 5:30AM, and by 7AM the street is busy. Personally I found it fascinating. However, if you're not accustomed to this sort of neighborhood activity, this might not be the best choice. However, the rooftop terrace is very private - with great views of the hills surrounding Morelia.
The owner has an office about 10 minutes from the apartment with a staff that can help with difficulties or answer questions. We were very satisfied with the service. In the apartment, there is a helpful list of restaurants, attractions, and emergency contacts (hospital, doctors, dentists, etc.). There is also a large library of books, including guide books.
The apartment is located very close to a market where fresh food, flowers, and more may be found every day.
