Apartment was everything we expected and more. Very clean, safe, well-maintained, and modern, with everything we needed for our visit, including WIFI and washer/dryer. Efficient and timely check-in. We appreciated the comprehensive notebook for guests. Nice, open kitchen/living room with a wall of windows. Beds were very comfortable. Close to two metros (Republique and Temple), a food store, restaurants, and bakery. Both owner and concierge were quite helpful! Be prepared for a hike up the stairs at the end of the day, but it's not too bad. After two weeks, we hated to leave! We definitely recommend this apartment!
My husband, teenage daughter, and I stayed in this delightful apartment for a week at the end of April. The apartment is exactly as it looks in the photographs. It is quiet and clean, and the beds are very comfortable. My daughter loved having her own bedroom and space. It was wonderful to come home to such a charming, relaxing place after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. When we first arrived, we were met at the apartment by Christine, the concierge, who had arranged a car to and from the airport. Christine went over everything we needed to know and made restaurant recommendations. She was very accessible throughout our stay. It was very nice having a washer and a dryer, and especially the dishwasher. There is also a citrus juicer, and we made fresh orange juice in the mornings. It was great having Wifi for our iPhone and iPad. We had no issues with the four flights of stairs. The apartment is in a perfect location, just a short walk to the Republique and Temple Metro stops that took us all over the city, and it is close to many shops and restaurants (our favorites were Chez Jenny right near the Republique Metro station, Au Fil des Saisons at 6 rue des Fontaines du Temple, and Chameleon at 70 rue Rene Boulanger). One thing we loved about the neighborhood is that it did not feel touristy at all. There is an ATM right on the corner with Temple, which was incredibly convenient. The patisserie on Temple right near the metro stop is amazing, and we had fresh baguettes and croissants every morning with our coffee. We were not far from a fabulous market and specialty shops on rue de Bretagne, where we bought fresh vegetables and fruits and a rack of lamb for our Easter dinner. We cooked in three times during our stay (the kitchen has everything we needed and more), and we made lunches of baguettes and cheese we found at a fantastic cheese shop on rue de Bretagne. There is also a Monoprix if we wanted a more "grocery store" experience. We walked to the Seine and Notre Dame, which took about 20 minutes or so, and in the opposite direction to the Pompideau, which took a little less time. The Metro easily took us everywhere else. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a "real" Parisian experience.
Two girlfriends and I rented this apartment for a week in May. It was so much better than staying in a hotel! The beds were very comfortable - two of us shared one and it was no problem. The photos that are shown are very reflective of the apartment - it is very nicely decorated and comfortable, not to mention well located. It is a short walk to the Republic metro stop which can take you just about anywhere in the city. The pastry shop near the metro has amazing croissants - we had one every morning (yikes!) lucky we did so much walking. The washer and particularly the dryer came in very handy as it rained a lot during our stay. The owners were very easy to work with. All of us agreed we would definitely stay here again. We would pack a little lighter - the stairs are tough with the luggage.
We would highly recommend this lovely Parisian apartment. It is exactly as it is described in the listing, decorated beautifully with antiques and has all the amenities you could possibly need or want. Great sheets, towels and robes. Mali warmly greeted us upon arrival and let us know that she would be available if we needed anything during our stay. The apartment is between St. Denis and Republique metro lines so it is very convenient to get anywhere you need to go. The 4 floor walk up the stairs isn't too bad, it is a beautiful staircase! We would definitely stay here again in the future!
I stayed with my mother and grandmother in this apartment at the end of August and had an amazing time. The apartment is located very close to great shopping on Vieille du Temple, adorable cafes along Bretagne - we walked all over the city - about a 15-20 minute walk to the Seine.
The apartment is clean and charming - but still modern. It's very well appropriated - washer and dryer in the unit, espresso machine, french press, hair dryer, etc - we weren't missing any essentials (and, yes, the french press is an essential ;)
The street is not very noisy, although the front bedroom is definitely noisier than the back. Additionally, this is a 4th floor walk-up, so definitely not for you if you're anti-stairs. The building is very pretty and quiet and (most importantly) feels very safe.
We spent most of our trip away, but it was wonderful to have a "home" to come back to and relax.
Our family of four stayed here & found it to be absolutely wonderful. This is our third time in Paris and we discovered on this trip that staying in an apartment is definitely better than a hotel. The apartment is well appointed and is exactly as the pictures show. It is extremely spacious by Paris standards and very clean and comfortable. There are two Metro stops close by, along with a wonderful bakery and grocery store. It was so nice to have the concierge meet us on our arrival and she was very helpful and informative. Overall, we would highly recommend this beautiful apartment to anyone interested in a true Parisian living experience.
