My husband and I have recently returned from a 6 night stay at Bruce's condo. Everything was as promised - an airport pickup, a cell phone to use while there, a full-sized washer and dryer, a dishwasher, a George Foreman grill...what more could I ask for?? The location is perfect, near Bellas artes, Alameda Central, several restaurants and bakeries, and a metro stop.
I have to say that we did not find the area noisy at night at all, as did a previous reviewer. There was a barking rooftop dog across the street, but he (thankfully) stopped around 10 pm.
I would not necessarily describe the condo as "luxury" or "plush", but if you're looking for a place to stay in a great location, with great amenities, and excellent service, then look no further.
The most important part of a HomeAway booking is for there to be no surprises. That is exactly the case with this property. Everything is as advertised. Would stay here again if the opportunity arose. Location is fine with a plethora of restaurants within short walking distance, shopping a block away, public transportation (did not use) close by. The amenity that makes this particular property stand out is the personalized service of the owner, Bruce. Airport pickup, a personalized walking tour of the area around the condo and use of a cell phone throughout your stay. He even bought us a map of Mexico City which we left in the condo for the next visitors. You can book this property with confidence.
Central, lots of things to do, good restaurants in the area and our 5 year old loved the pool in the building. Bruce and his staff were wonderful beginning with the pick up at the airport and making sure our condo was clean and we had a good supply of bottled water all the time.
Super convenient location, very tidy and true to the photos. Both Bruce and his assistant Cornelio were very friendly and welcoming from the very beginning and throughout our entire stay as well as available for our questions. The floor to ceiling windows in each bedroom and living room made the condo feel open and airy. The good quality of the windows kept the space quiet and cool. The amenities in the building were great, especially the little convenience store and café -- very friendly, accommodating, and free room service that was right on time! We recommend this property.
Outstanding in every way... owner Bruce--extremely accommodating and efficient, his apartment location, view & amenities, and amazing tour guide Ricardo.
My travel sister and I stay in VRBO's around the world and this was one of the best yet. Such a reasonable price for a 2-bedroom, 2-bath with balcony view from the 12th floor, and a little convenience store in the very safe, secure apt complex located in a non-touristy area that's walking distance to the Zocalo.
We got to see SO MUCH more in and outside the city during our 10-day stay because of booking Ricardo Ramirez and his comfortable A/C auto for 5 full tour days. He customizes all that you want to see and do and certainly knows the history of Mexico. He does so much extra, from finding cell batteries to recommending what to do on your own, stopping at grocery and other stores, taking endless photos of us, and also booking a professional massage (Laura, who we had 2 nights because she was so good & reasonable at less than $40/hr). He also arranges your free airport pickup and drop off and does everything with a smile and great enthusiasm. Bruce and Ricardo (and Laura) plus the smog-free beauty of Mexico City, made our visit spectacular and memorable. Don't hesitate to book.
We stayed at Bruce's apartment for 7 days in July, and found it to have a perfect location, terrific value, and wonderful customer service. Bruce has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making the rental experience pleasant and positive, including complimentary airport pickup, helpful check-in service, two passkeys to the safe and modern condominium with 24-hour doorman, and a free phone to reach him or one of the Holiday Rentals Mexico staff at any time. And I can't say enough nice things about Ricardo, our incredible and knowledgeable personal tour guide to the Teotihuacan Archeological Site and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe! Spending our first full day (a Monday) with Ricardo was the perfect way to kick off an exhilarating week exploring this fascinating and fun city. The apartment itself is cozy, but has absolutely everything you need, including excellent Wi-Fi, high-quality appliances, a clean, uncluttered layout, and a wide 12th floor balcony that gives an impressive view over the city.
My don't-miss suggestions for Mexico City are: (1) see Los Pyramides with Ricardo as your tour guide; (2) don't miss the famous Chapultepec Castle and Museo Nacional de Antropologia; (3) get down to Xochimilco to the Museo Dolores Olmedo (a beautiful 16th century mansion with the best Diego Rivera collection in the world) and take a canal ride of the colorful trajineras; and (4) go right next door from the apartment to the Museo de Arte Popular, a wonderful small museum of Mexican folk art. And get to as many of the tremendous markets around town as possible. We visited the Ciudadela Artisan's Market, the intense wholesale food Mercado de la Merced, and the Mercado Insurgentes, for best deals on jewelry, silver, and home wares. We used the Metro and walked quite a bit, but it's a big city: put the Uber app on your phone and use it! Rides are insanely inexpensive!
Why don't more Americans come to Mexico City for vacation? It is a world-class city, and checks all the boxes -- delicious food, great weather, vibrant culture, fascinating history, excellent value for your money, and lovely, generous people. And Bruce's wonderful apartment is the perfect home base from which to create your own wonderful Mexico City memories.
We were very pleased with all the amenities. It was fully equipped including a washer and dryer. There was plenty of seating for eating and for watching TV. And it offered a great view. The apartment was close to everything. Restaurants. Shopping and sites, all within walking distance. We especially liked the the fact that they were there to meet us at the airport. Ricardo was very helpful and informative. We most definitely would recommend it to our friends. We really enjoyed our stay.
