Why Mark and Sarah Nolan chose Bristol

Both of our families have been vacationing on Newfound Lake since the 1950's. We met at Newfound as children, never dreaming that many years later we'd fall in love and, eventually, be married at the church overlooking the same lake where we first met. Our lifelong dream to own a small piece of this beautiful paradise came true in late 2014 when we purchased this cottage. Come see for yourself and fall in love as we did!

Kathy and I went to profile falls, sculptured rocks,Spectacle Pond, Grey Ledges/the old marina,Sunday Mass at Our Lady of Grace Chapel, the Homestead, fishing on Smith River, antiquing, swimming every day, along with great food. Thanks for the Memories. Will be in contact for next year soon. Kathy and Frank Kent.

***** Five stars for The Knoll Inn

  • 5 of 5

I am giving The Knoll Inn and hosts Mark and Sarah 5 stars because I loved every minute of the week I called it "home" at Newfound Lake, a truly magical destination. This cottage was originally built in the 1920s and until it went condo, was part of "Bungalo Village" on Pasquaney, so to me, it has historical significance. If you want a comfortable and affordable home on the lake today, however, you can settle in to an easy experience: the bed and day bed are both very comfortable, the shower has hot water and a strong stream ("Excellent!"), and if the weather is a little cooler as I experienced in September, the wall heater and the stand-alone electric heater will do the job in this cozy cottage. The windows open up front, side and back to let the lake breezes flow in when fresh air is required. A secure, "realty-style" lock box next to the front door not only gives you check-in entry, it also gives you the comfort of knowing that you'll always be able to get in should you forget your key whilst out on the beach or exploring the amazing New Hampshire countryside beyond your comfy home on Pasquaney. West Shore Drive was repaved during my visit in September 2017, so it's also a smooth drive to your home on an amazing lake and a welcoming destination. Absolutely loved my experience at The Knoll Inn, Newfound Lake, and Bristol, New Hampshire. Many thanks! ~ MJC

This was a perfect location right on Newfound Lake. With a beach across the street, and a wonderful front grass area, my baby was never bored! The owners are very accommodating and will go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. We will be coming back!
