This luxury condo in a 4 story 6 unit complex has elevator access to the unit and covered parking for two vehicles. Condo is attractively tiled throughout and has a beautiful kitchen area with granite counter top and stainless steel appliances; dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, stove and range. The kitchen also has a countertop eating area with 4 barstools. The condo has a master bedroom with a Queen bed and personal bathroom, a 2nd bedroom with a queen bed and sliding glass door access to a furnished patio and a 3rd bedroom furnished with 2 twin beds. The living area has updated furniture including a pullout couch for additional sleeping arrangements and sliding glass door access to the patio. Each bedroom and the living area have TV's with a DVD player hooked up. The 2nd full Bathroom has a jetted tub! Other amenities: wireless internet, washer and dryer and a solar heated pool located on the first floor of the complex. A perfect home base conveniently located on southern tip of the island.

Location, Location, Location! This condo is ideally located a little over 100 meters to the beach and a 5 minute walk to almost everything - including; the Tybee beach pier and pavilion, Tybee Island Marine Science Center and Tybrisa Street. Tybrisa street has a variety of eateries, ice-cream parlors, souvenir shops and local boutiques, department stores and is the center for entertainment on the island. Everything is conveniently located to enable you to spend the day on the beach as well as accessing food and entertainment.

Owner very easy to work with.

I ended up staying in this property for 3 months. Owner was easy to work with on payment and even updated furniture during my stay. Proximity to pier, beach front, restraunts and shops were ideal.

The management company is horrible!

We checked into the rental late one Saturday evening only to be greeted by ants in the bedroom. The next morning, we realized the floors were filthy – in fact, my toddler found an empty iced tea bottle underneath her bed. We contacted the management company and they quickly dispatched someone out to treat for ants and clean the floors. Day 2 we realized the unit was infested with fruit flies. We once again contacted the management company and they dropped off some bug spray. But wait, there’s more. Day 4 – thunderstorms. One of bedroom windows leaked water all over the bed and floor – at 10:00 pm. We contacted the management company (at this point, their number is on speed dial), and were told by them to “try to control it”. After some protest, someone came over to deliver towels and clean sheets. Day 5 – reached out to the management company to discuss numerous issue with the rental. Linda (from the management company) told my husband to “go take a walk on the beach” and she would get back to us later. Day 6 – didn’t hear from Linda. Oh, and it’s raining again and the bedroom window is leaking all over the floor as I am typing the review.

We did reach out to the property owner who was very apologetic. In the owner’s defense, he pays the management company to provide a service. Unfortunately, the management company failed to offer acceptable service.

We really did not want to give a negative review, because the rental is actually nice and conveniently located, but the dealings with the management company left us with no other option.

Summary: Nice location and furnishings, but with ants, filthy floors, leaking windows, fruit flies. I’ll let you decide.

Don't let other reviews fool you. The location of this apartment is perfect! Is about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Quiet, enjoyable area with restaurants close by. I have a big family and we travel often. They all agreed this has been one of the best vacations ever. We had time to just relax, play board games and try a varied menu throughout Tybee. The furniture has been updated and the bunk beds are placed as twin beds, excellent for safety. I agree that the floors have to be steamed and sealed but we just wore flip flops, is part of the beach experience. The apartment was clean and organized. Tip: is hard to contact the administrators by phone the, but very accessible by e-mail. We are planning on renting this place again.

Great location but needs attention

As I stated in my subject line, the location of this property is GREAT. It is literally a 5 minute walk to the beach and other main attractions. It is a spacious property too, but its needs some attention to be charging as much as they are per night, regardless of the location. The first day there I called the management company to report that 1) the floors were absolutely filthy (our feet and socks were black after just an hour of walking on it), 2) the ironing board was broken, and 3) the chest of drawers in the bunk bed room were also broken. To their credit, they sent someone within an hour or so to take care of the issues. The cleaning lady did tell me though that the floors are nearly impossible to keep clean because the tile needs to be steamed and re-sealed but they can't get the owners to agree to the work (?!?!?!). Other issues we dealt with as the week wore on were filthy upholstery. The chairs and couch in the living room are really badly stained and worn and need to be replaced. The seat cushion on one was nearly black and the couch cushions have almost collapsed completely. We spent most of our time either at the bar or table in the kitchen or on the veranda to avoid sitting on the living room furniture. The whole place needs a good coat of paint and the dryer is so loud when running (it squeaks terribly) that we ran it while out of the condo to avoid having to hear it. In the master bathroom, the shower curtain had huge brown stains on it and neither it or the liner were long enough for the stall so everytime we took a shower the entire floor outside was soaked. We were never given a key to the pool. They told part of our party when they checked in that its been lost and they don't have one for us. So we paid for a condo with a pool which we could never access. Also, one of the stairwell doors on the bottom floor was broken. The handle was missing and it could not be opened. Pretty sure that's a fire hazard.

There are no other reviews on this property available and I thought that was a little fishy when I booked but the owner assured me the condo was well taken care of and that he had never had any complaints. In fact, when I went on the VRBO website to review this property, I found that the entire listing has been taken down. Either I expect too much for the money I paid or others just can't be bothered giving feedback. Either way, it was a solid 3 star stay for which we paid 4 - 5 star prices.
