Because my prices are so reasonable, I often receive reservations and full payment months in advance. I do not charge extra for pets or firewood. My listed price includes taxes and cleaning. I prepare my home as if you are my cousins arriving for a visit. You will be greeted with hand ironed 500+ ct. cotton pillowcases. My shelves offer beautiful dishware. Full basement newly redone and furnished. Note: My home is older. I am surrounded by woods. If you have allergies come prepared. I am installing a dehumidifier today(October 25, 2016). Humidifier working well(May2, 2017). Even with allergies, last guest said, "The value is great!" (October 2016) Air conditioned. Clean, spacious, decks all around! I just invested in luxurious (550 ct. new)bedding for all guests. Brass bed.Second TV in Master. Grand piano fully restored.(And tuned last week-May 2017) 55" tv in living room with premier channels. Wood burning fireplace wood provided. Quiet luxury. Very romantic! Ground level cozy seating and pingpong/hockey table. Fully refurbished ground level. New walls and floors in 2016. Outside firepit. Loved this home!

We loved this house - it was the perfect location for our weekend stay and celebration of our son’s graduation. Quiet, clean and cozy with everything we needed. The owner stayed in touch via email and text to make sure all was well. Hope to return before long!!!

  • 5 of 5

the home was everything as it advertised was clean and comfortable the owner was very helpful she knew i was expecting an extra guest and left extra linens and towels, would have enjoyed it more if it hadn't rained all weekend and we could have been outside more. was a good time and would stay there again without doubt.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much. This summer I am cleaning myself to make every effort toward the comfort of my guests. I admit my home IS now really cute and hospitable. I continue to iron every pillowcase with loving intent. I have almost every type of coffee maker, two toasters, and a smoothie maker. My home is 30 plus years old, and so I keep my rates modest. Preparing this home for new visitors each week is work I love, even if my body sometimes reminds me I am 66!

Private and clean!

  • 4 of 5

Very cozy & peaceful but only a 10 minute drive to downtown Staunton. Worked perfectly for our family in lieu of a hotel. Owner was very accommodating. Used as our home base while the Queen City Potter Party and touring 3 area colleges. Will stay again.

A good value for a long weekend in beautiful mountain setting.

  • 4 of 5

The home met our expectations. Good value. We spent our days at the Red Wing music festival and gathered together at the home in the evening. Our host was very accommodating even allowing our sons dog to stay a few hours longer while we returned to the festival for the last day

this place was perfect for our family while we were in the area attending my son's wedding.

  • 5 of 5

Very clean and affordable for a family to stay at. All the things of home provided, towels, bedding, washer and dryer, grill, etc. Room for the whole family plus some. Located in a quiet area, yet close to so much. I will come here again when we are in need of a place to stay. Owner was very nice and friendly and went above and beyond to make this place a great place to stay!
