Alisa Bigham purchased this cabin in 2005
We chose the North-West Georgia Area after a wonderful family vacation back in 2003 just a stones throw from where our cabin is located. The scenery, community, everything seemed so perfect. During our vacation we purchased the spectacular 36 acres and endeavoured to build our perfect 'get away'. The cabin was finished in 2005 and since then we have had many enjoyable family vacations. We now want to share the many benefits the cabin and the surrounding area has to offer.
We love the community in this jewel of the North-West Georgia countryside; it still carries the traits of a by gone age. Close community, wonderful scenery and friendly folk fill the area. Our property is perfectly located on a hill top with stunning views; so sometimes the most needed adventure is simply a good book on the deck or by the pool.
Yet again, another relaxing stay at our beautiful cabin. Amazing weather, sunsets, pool time, shooting star watching, hummingbirds, cardinals on the bird feeder, trail walking, card games......great fun as always!
We highly recommend a boat cruise down the Tennessee river from Chattanooga. Beautiful sights and wildlife. There is a 'fall cruise' (leaflet in our information folder) which is supposed to bd amazing for any guests visting later in the year. There is a lovely man that works in the ticket office by pier 2 (Southern Belle) Chattanooga. He is a treasure chest of useful information on trips, free buses, places to park, baseball games. If your looking for fun things to do in Chattanooga, he's your man.
Enjoy our new bed in the upstairs master bedroom, you will get lost in it; its bliss!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the property. Everything inside the house and out was perfectly placed for comfort and convenience. We lucked out with a warm late September weekend. The pool was warm and we had lots of fun swimming and playing "Marco Polo". The hot tub was an fantastic place for star gazing. The house was very clean and inviting. We appreciate all the small details- coffee in the pantry, spices and aluminum foil in the cabinets, the telescope in the hall, binoculars by the door, jenga in the kids' room. The property location is also fantastic, its totally private and surrounded by a gorgeous view, yet within a 15 min drive of restaurants and supermarkets. We enjoyed boating and hiking at Sloppy Floyd State park. We would highly recommend this place.
We truly enjoyed our stay here at Peavine Lodge! I have only positive things to say.. The attention to detail to make sure we enjoyed the place was evident. The pumpkin and fall flowers were a nice touch. The kids loved the pool and hot tub and my husband and I especially loved the view and trails. If you want a place away from it all, this is your place. We've liked other places we have rented in the past but none that we were eager to rent again...until now. In fact, I can't wait to come back again. Thanks for accommodating us.
It has it all, great views, privacy, a very nice and comfortable cabin, and if you visit during warm weather a pool. The lady who manages this cabin was more than helpful. She responds very quickly and makes sure your checking in and out is very painless. The cabin itself has this very nice but yet rustic feel to it. The owners of the property have spent a lot of time working on the small details to make this feel very unique. If you are considering this as an option, it is way worth it. I would definitely go here again.
This cabin and property are amazing. Arrived to fantastic outdoor property and the cabin has everything you need and more. So clean, down to the windows. So well stocked with everything. All you need is food and clothes.
The pool, oh my it was so amazing to go out after breakfast and swim, float around or just lay under the umbrellas. Well now I want a pool. Will have to talk to Alisa about how hard or easy to care for the pool. This is a wonderful place. About 10-15 minutes from Trion but you feel like you are the only people for miles. I hope we are able to plan another trip next year. The only thing I would like is to be able to bring our Sheltie, Abby as she is a part of our family and it is so hard to leave her behind. Thanks for sharing you home with us.
Another perfectly relaxing vacation at our beautiful cabin. This year we were joined by two of my three sons which was fantastic. The usual fun was had by all, trail walking, pool and hot tub, toasting marshmallows and cooking on the outside grill whilst watching the hummingbirds play. We ventured out as usual and two of our new favourite outings were a visit to Little River Canyon Falls Park (Martha's Fall). After a short walk along the trails we found the famous swimming holes which the kids found highly entertaining jumping into , this was a very popular place for families of all ages (it is a bit of a steep walk down so not recommended for the less abled walkers). Another great day out we had was paddle boarding and kayaking on the Tennessee River. We hired our boards/kayaks through a company called L2 outside, which is right next to the Tennessee Aquarium. The guys who own it are related to our property managers Brent and Alisa so you know you are in safe hands. We hope you all enjoy your visits to our getaway and look forward to hearing all about it.
This place was amazing! From the towels to the beautiful scenery, there was nothing missing! This was not a normal "Rental", this was a home! I do have to say that we were so sad to leave! The house, pool, hot tub, and grounds were extremely neat and taken care of. You can tell that people really do care abut this place! This was a great getaway for me and my husband, just what we needed to be alone and relax! And a huge thanks to the property managers for being so nice and great to work with!
