I love the central location of Kas ku Palma. I am a big fan of the Banda Ariba side of the island Curacao, with its beautiful quiet beaches, hilly scenery, wide views and nature. Life is slow over here. But if you love the hustle of downtown Willemstad, it can be found within the same time and distance, just turn left at Kas ku Palma!
We stayed two weeks at Kas ku Palma, Curacao starting January the 20, 2016. We cannot give the house a great review because of all the things that went wrong during our stay. The Ice maker in the refrigerator was not working on arrival so we had to buy ice.
There were no English speaking channels that we could see on the TV. There is only one TV for the whole house. With 5 bedrooms you would think there would be at least one more. One of the air conditioners went completely out. There is only air-conditioning in the bedrooms. If we knew this first we would have picked another place. Guest should know this beforehand. There was No hot water in any of the sinks, only in the showers. That big beautiful tub that is shown in the picture did not work at all. That was just for show. The garage that is attached to the house, you cannot use. If you cannot use it why show it in the picture. Coming into the house with groceries from the garage would have been much more convenient. The places need a new set of knives really bad. There was no knife sharpener to fix that problem. The hand can opener was broken. We had to open cans with a knife to finish dinner which was very unsafe.
The beds are low to the floor. We doubled up a couple mattresses and pushed beds together to make a regular height bed king bed. Mattresses are just OK. We got by with what was there. Pillows were terrible. There were lots of dead bushes around the place that needed to be removed.
The pool was great. I had to clean it out myself before the pool people got there.
They did not show up when they were supposed to. The doors of the property were hard to close and
lock because of poor alignment. This was hard because they had to be closed correctly in order for
the alarm to work.
Maria was our contact person. I have to give her credit for trying to take care of our needs and do the best that she could to get everything working. Some things she could not get working like the air condition in the one bedroom and the big tub that is pictured. The owner had to decide what to do
in these cases.
This could be a really great place to stay with a little better up keep and improvements. And thanks Maria for all that you did for us during our stay.

Maria was very helpful from start to finish. The property was clean and generally everything we were looking for. Wifi was excellent. Pool was excellent. It was practically perfect, and we would definitely stay here again. There isn't anything negative I can say, but we do have some suggestions for improvements. 1. The safe would be better served with the numeric keypad instead of a key. 2. An extra bin outside for garbage. Our garbage was piling up and was starting to attract critters.
Kas ku Palma is a spacious villa in the area of Grote Berg on the island of Curacao. Kas ku Palma is perfectly located in the heart of Curacao, just between Banda Abou - “lower” west side of Curacao boasting the most beautiful and best beaches - and Banda Ariba - “upper” east side including Willemstad. Because of its central location close to the ocean, the ever-present wind will blow its cooling breeze.
