About Stephen McQuillan
I work from home very close to where the apartment is located, running a small business, letting and managing properties for my clients. Having worked in the business for some 15 years, I am quite familiar with this property, which belongs to one of my clients who lives abroad.
Why Stephen McQuillan chose Earl's Court
Quite simply, it's a home away from home!

Comfy apartment for two in great location.
This is a well furnished and comfy little apartment just two blocks from the Earl's Court underground stop (great for in/out to Heathrow as well as getting around the city). Overall it's a good size for two; might be a bit tight for more (except children). You do have to keep the windows closed at night due to Cromwell Road traffic, but they are very good at blocking sound. Everything functions well; the wifi is great. The neighborhood has great eating options. The rental agent, Stephen, is exceptionally courteous and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.
Always a pleasure to deal with the nice people I've welcomed to the little flat I use for holiday rentals!
Blaise and his partner Virginia were exceptionally pleasant to deal with and I'll be more than happy to have them again!
Great place to stay.
Good place to stay with great access to all sites in London using the Underground and shopping is close by. The flat is compact and has all the amenities needed for short or long stays. Stephen was great, meeting us at the Underground walking us to the flat. He was a big help carrying our luggage up 4 flights since the lift was out of commission. He also helped with luggage on departing, lift was still down. He was extremely knowledgeable on local history and had a number of articles on Earl's Court history. The surprise was the dozen roses when we arrived. We would stay there again.
Wonderful location ,and best host ever
I stayed 2.weeks in this lovely old Victoria building flat, its so close to earls court tube station (5mins walking )and has everything u need near by the place the cozy and neat and Stephen is most friendly and helpful host i ever met definitely recommended
Great for young people!
This apartment is in a great location, convenient to the underground and useful shops . The manager is a lovely person, and super helpful. Other things I appreciated were the well-stocked kitchen in terms of utensils, microwave, stove + oven, coffee pot, toaster, etc.--even a small laundry washing machine! The refrigerator leaves something to be desired, as the freezer compartment lacks a door and thus does not keep frozen items. But for short stays, that's not a big handicap. The bed is very comfortable. A very good desktop computer with WiFi turned out to be an extremely important feature for me.
All that said, this is not an apartment for someone like me--elderly, easily tired, a bit arthritic. (1) The apartment is on the attic floor, 4 long flights up, and the lift is unreliable. Sometimes walking all the way up (or down, or both) was necessary; and it was difficult. (2) The toilet is so close to the wall as to be uncomfortable for women to sit on--at such time as the apartment is remodeled, this should be kept in mind. (3) speaking of the bathroom, the tub is too high for an older person to step into easily (though the water pressure is excellent, considering it's on the top floor). (4) finally, the windows (one in the bedroom and one in the living room) are so high that the only thing one sees is the sky; and the TV antennae on the roof of the hospital across the street. This is a structural matter and in no way a criticism of the manager, but it felt strange to not have a view. Also (and this is NOT a structural matter and could be fixed), the venetian blinds on both windows do not catch to stay open, so one cannot get optimum light in the rooms as the blinds are always down.
Again, I appreciated the small touches that the manager provided, including personal attention when I arrived and the night before I left, as well as being available througout the two weeks if I had any problems. Thanks, Stephen!
Thank you very kindly for your review of the apartment I manage for short stay holiday rentals. A very well-balanced report!
The items mentioned which are under my control, while not mentioned previously, will be taken care of for future guests!
Thank you once again very much! It was a pleasure to meet you.
Cozy apartment near Earl's court
This is a good size one bedroom apt very close to Earl's court tube station, restaurants, grocery stores and parks. Kensinton Palace and park, Hyde Park and Holland Park are all just a short walk. We also walked to Harrod's in Knightsbridge. We enjoyed it very much and Stephen was great. Very welcoming. Definitely would recommend it.
Very kind words!
Many thanks indeed, although the location isn't anything to do with me, but you're quite right. I live in Earls Court myself and don't find much need to travel around London much for anything, other than by choice!
Excellent apartment in great location.
Apartment is well maintained, close to underground stations, restaurants and supermarkets. Kitchen is well equipped. Fast internet. If we can suggest removing one of the computer tables to provide a bit more room. Excellent and quick communication with the property manager who is exceptionally courteous and accommodating indeed, he met us at the underground station and led us to the apartment, while providing a lot of interesting and useful information about the area and London.Thank you so much for a great place to stay during our vacation. We would highly recommend this place to everyone who would visit this beautiful city.
Thank you very much for your kind words Peter!
I'm not in the habit of following reviews for the sake of gaining such compliments. the job of providing a comfortable place for people to stay isn't exactly rocket science after all.
But your words are much appreciated. I'll be happy to be of assistance to you again in the future if you visit London again!
Well located for all sights in central London, on direct bus routes to the West End, for theatres and 5mins walk to local Underground station, connecting with all parts of central London. Only 5mins walk away is the Little French Restaurant, which features an a' la carte 3-course menu, for £12.50!
