About Stephen McQuillan

I work from home very close to where the apartment is located, running a small business, letting and managing properties for my clients.

Having worked in the business for some 15 years, I am quite familiar with this property, which belongs to one of my clients who lives abroad.

Why Stephen McQuillan chose Kensington & Chelsea

Quite simply, it's a home away from home!

Great option for an extended visit to London.

  • 4 of 5

Absolutely perfect location for sightseeing. Comfortable for a couple and one child. Close to Tube, near restaurants, groceries, bakeries and pubs. Quiet building, even on busy street. Lots of natural light. Bus service close by.

Only suggestion we had was to get rid of superfluous furniture that make apartment feel closed in. Who needs two computer desks and three empty bookcases?

Agent Steven McQuillan was great, full of information about the neighborhood. He even bought a French press for our coffee.

We and our thirteen year old grand-daughter enjoyed our stay and recommend it.

Great flat stay in Earls Court April 2017 - wonderful property manager

  • 5 of 5

We cannot say enough good things about our experience on 21-28th April, 2017 with Stephen McQuillan, and the property he manages in Earls Court. Stephen is extremely responsive, helpful and very hands-on, but yet never intrusive in his efforts to make one’s stay a wonderful experience. For those new to the area, he is a wealth of knowledge, and conversely he stays in the background just a phone call away for the more experienced. We celebrated our 32nd anniversary here and found the flat to be perfectly sized, appointed, cleaned, equipped and located. Staying on the top floor of this wonderful former home (just one block from Alfred Hitchcocks’s former London residence) was an experience we will always remember fondly. Thank you Stephen! Highly recommended.

Owner's Response: How very kind of you to say so Mac & Jeanne! It's always been a pleasure dealing with people staying at Cromwell Rd in fact and is the best part of the work I do! I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed it so much! Thank you! Stephen

Perfect for our needs!

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in the flat, which is ideally located in the west end of London. Only five minutes from the Earl's Court Underground, we were easily able to get everywhere we wanted to go within London, and grocery stores, ATM's, and restaurants were all within easy walking distance. Best of all was working with Stephen, the leasing agent. I was a bit hesitant to book a rental through, but reading what others had to say about Stephen convinced me that he was someone to be trusted . . . and he was! Kind, knowledgeable, generous, and responsible, he did everything he could to make our stay a pleasant one, and he is a fond part of our newly-made London memories. We would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Stephen!

Owner's Response: Laura Your kind words are somewhat overwhelming I have to say - thank you very much! As I think I said to you while you were here, there's not a lot involved in doing a job like this the right way. People who just chase money have no idea. If you do things the right way to begin with, the money just follows! It was a pleasure having you stay and I'm so pleased your holiday in London was made even better by your stay at Cromwell Rd! You'd be welcome again anytime! And with a discount too! Kindest regards and again, best wishes with your flood! Stephen

Great location suitable for 2 or 3 guest

  • 5 of 5

Fabulous location. Centrally located to all the shopping, tourist spots. Short walk Earl's Court Tube station. Apartment was clean and had everything in working order. Can't say enough about Stephen. We were two newbies in London, Stephen met us at tube station to give us keys, gave us a quick tour around the neighborhood and even had fresh flowers waiting in the apartment. Definitely would stay here again!

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your very kind words Charlotte! I didn't feel I was doing anything out of the ordinary to be honest. But it's always a pleasure to meet the nice people who've come to me through VRBO/HomeAway. You and Kym are no exception to that!

Love it!

  • 5 of 5

Stephen is a very friendly and attentive host. He answered my questions timely when I booked the flat. He provided us surrounding information before our arrival. He met us at the tube station and showed us around. He accommodated the apartment with everything a guest may need: from tourists’ maps to umbrellas to even shopping bags. The checking out was also smooth. Stephen reminded us our departure date was a holiday, which may affect tube schedules.

We really enjoyed our stay there and definitely recommend it.

Good Location

  • 3 of 5

Stephen is a great guy and is more than ready to help. The location of the apartment is fantastic, with proximity to Earls court station and many pubs and eateries.

However, the apartment is located in the attic of an old building and needs some attention in the general cleanliness, the bathroom needs work, the bedroom wardrobe is pretty poor condition ( a dozen good hangars can be far better than 25 flimsy plastic hangars), the blind on the window is short (was an issue in the summers). One of the sofas in the sitting room needs attention. Lastly the living room has got cramped, because they have put couple old office computer tables with PC and printers and fax machine. (these could come handy for business traveler, but not for holiday makers).

Hence the apartment gets a 3 star rating.
