I work from home very close to where the apartment is located, running a small business, letting and managing properties for my clients.
Having worked in the business for some 15 years, I am quite familiar with this property, which belongs to one of my clients who lives abroad.
Quite simply, it's a home away from home!
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in the flat, which is ideally located in the west end of London. Only five minutes from the Earl's Court Underground, we were easily able to get everywhere we wanted to go within London, and grocery stores, ATM's, and restaurants were all within easy walking distance. Best of all was working with Stephen, the leasing agent. I was a bit hesitant to book a rental through vrbo.com, but reading what others had to say about Stephen convinced me that he was someone to be trusted . . . and he was! Kind, knowledgeable, generous, and responsible, he did everything he could to make our stay a pleasant one, and he is a fond part of our newly-made London memories. We would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Stephen!
Fabulous location. Centrally located to all the shopping, tourist spots. Short walk Earl's Court Tube station. Apartment was clean and had everything in working order. Can't say enough about Stephen. We were two newbies in London, Stephen met us at tube station to give us keys, gave us a quick tour around the neighborhood and even had fresh flowers waiting in the apartment. Definitely would stay here again!
Stephen is a very friendly and attentive host. He answered my questions timely when I booked the flat. He provided us surrounding information before our arrival. He met us at the tube station and showed us around. He accommodated the apartment with everything a guest may need: from tourists’ maps to umbrellas to even shopping bags. The checking out was also smooth. Stephen reminded us our departure date was a holiday, which may affect tube schedules.
We really enjoyed our stay there and definitely recommend it.
Stephen is a great guy and is more than ready to help. The location of the apartment is fantastic, with proximity to Earls court station and many pubs and eateries.
However, the apartment is located in the attic of an old building and needs some attention in the general cleanliness, the bathroom needs work, the bedroom wardrobe is pretty poor condition ( a dozen good hangars can be far better than 25 flimsy plastic hangars), the blind on the window is short (was an issue in the summers). One of the sofas in the sitting room needs attention. Lastly the living room has got cramped, because they have put couple old office computer tables with PC and printers and fax machine. (these could come handy for business traveler, but not for holiday makers).
Hence the apartment gets a 3 star rating.
Comfortable little flat convenient to Earls Court tube station, grocery stores, local pubs and restaurants. Having access to a computer was a plus for us. Stephen met us outside the property, and after familiarizing us with the flat, encouraged us to phone him should we need anything. He messaged us once during our stay to make sure everything was okay, which I though was nice. Our son slept on the sofa bed. It was slightly too short for his 6' frame but otherwise he did fine. Fans were provided in the bedroom and front room and were much appreciated. Kitchen is smaller than it appears the photos; just an observation, not a complaint.
The only downside I could think of, and this is a stretch, because it didn't bother us and we really loved this place, is that the building is on a busy main road. If you are looking to stay on a quiet residential street, this may not be the place for you. I'm sure closing the windows would mitigate the traffic sounds, but we had them open during our entire stay in late July and early August.
In short, it was a perfect home away from home for our 11-night stay, and Stephen was great.
We had a great time in London. The flat is perfectly located and fully equipped. Mr. Stephen McQuillan is very nice and helpful. He has made our stay very pleasant. We'd like to stay in the same flat next time in London.
Well located for all sights in central London, on direct bus routes to the West End, for theatres and 5mins walk to local Underground station, connecting with all parts of central London.
Only 5mins walk away is the Little French Restaurant, which features an a' la carte 3-course menu, for £12.50!
