Three families had a vision to build a destination Baja escape to be a counter balance to our full lives that would replenish our reserves with the beauty of the area and high-end accomodations of home. Our vision became a reality in 2009 with the completion of our adobe Mexican Casa as one of the few homes with 3 large bedrooms in the Founders Village of Loreto Bay. The white sandy beach and Sea of Cortex is a one minute walk from our front door to a full range of water activities including kayaking through an estruary like none you have experienced before.
As you walk through our wooden front doors, you will leave your cares behind as you encounter the open air courtyard filled with a tranquilzing water fountain landscaped with a big palm tree and colorful indigenous flowers. There are three spacious bedrooms one master suite upstairs, and two guest bedroom on the first floor. Two bedrooms have super comfy king sized beds and the third one has two cushy full size beds. All three bedrooms have the privacy of their own beautifully Mexican tiled bathrooms and walk-in showers. Two bedrooms have generous soaking tubs.
Enjoy drinks and dinner on the our deck with incredible sunsets followed by a clear night sky sprinkled with stars. Our home was furnished with hand-crafted Mexican furniture and televisions in each bedroom. Our community has a saline pool and hottub across the street.
The Loreto Bay Inn is walking distance. Our guests have full access to the amenities and activites available through the hotel. You can rent kayaks or snorkel gear right on the beach to Jaques Cousteau's "aquamarine capital of the world". As you kayak, don't be surprised to see the dolphines jumping, fish splashing and pelicans diving all around you. You can use the hotel pool, eat lunches at the poolside grill, read on lounge chairs with beautiful views of the ocean.
Love golf? Seasoned golfers have reported this 18 hole course to be one of the best in the country.Green fees are incredibly affordable with rental carts and equipment available at the hotel.
About five miles away is the quaint and safe town of Loreto where you can dine at local family owned restaurants, walk along the marina, shop or listen to local musicians.
We'ree opening our home to you to take advantage of the magic of Loreto and all it has to offer to refuel your spirit and have a blast at the same time.

Three friends bought the land and jointly built this getaway home to enjoy time away separately or together. We built our Loreto home to be a place to make memories with friends and family overtime.
Eve Stern purchased this house in 2005
The beauty of Loreto was unsurpassed given our priorities for mountains and water. The combination of desert, palm trees with ideal sun and temps for outdoor activities made Loreto a clear choice for a second home.
The design and build out of the community was respectful of the natural environment and senstive to preserving the unique beauty of Loreto. First class fishing, golfing and marine life watching is like no where else we could find.
We've stayed in villas in Founders Neighborhood multiple times, visited many others who own villas, and viewed several more that are for sale - we've seen over 12. Eve's unit is one of the most desirable units in terms of just about everything: location, size (3bdrm/3bath), cleanliness, decor, layout, quality of linens, has a viewing deck, bbq, well appointed kitchen appliances/utensils etc. We recommend this villa without hesitation, you won't be disappointed.
There was only 1 drawback to this unit. The washer/dryer are located in a closet in the kitchen. The venting doesn't appear to be quite right and as a result, if you run the dryer the closet door needs to be open which results in a fair amount of noise and dryer exhaust in the kitchen and immediately adjoining dining room and living room - so don't do any laundry at dinnertime! In their defense, each of the villas are tight on storage space and some sort of compromise is usually made somewhere.
We enjoyed our Thanksgiving getaway to Loreto staying in this roomy Loreto Bay rental. We didn't cook much as there are so many wonderful Loreto restaurants to try. Our favorites were Sabor and Thanksgiving dinner prepared by Sophia at Fonda Canipole. There was some road construction on main highway which made the drives to town interesting, but manageable. We day-tripped to San Javiar, Isla Coronado, and did some kayaking/paddleboarding, and chilled at the pool. Loved that there were no crowds, even during a holiday week. The rental unit was spacious and comfortable, had everything we needed.
We spent 2 wonderful weeks at this beautiful site. The home is wonderful with 3 individual suites, large living space, functional AC and Internet access. We especially enjoyed stargazing from the upper deck patio. The pools on the property are fantastic, within walking distance was a lovely coffee shop, a wine bar/restaurant, Pedro's restaurant (recommend the marguerita and filet mignon), also a Oceanside restaurant at the resort adjacent to the property. The landscaping and community are spectacular! We would definitely recommend this wonderful home to anyone interested in a quaint village getaway on the ocean!
This home is even better than the photos. Spacious and well supplied. Beautiful, safe and friendly neighborhood. Near great amenities, beach and fabulous restaurants. The personal touch and advise the owner gives is very helpful. We would definitely return and choose this property in a heart beat.
We had a great trip to Loreto and staying in this well equipped unit made it even nicer. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well supplied, and the location is close to the beach, the pool, and the restaurants. The owners were responsive, and helpful, and returned our damage deposit in a timely fashion. We hope to be back soon, and are looking forward to another stay.
Our trip to Loreto was magical! The place was gorgeous, the management was very available for any questions and the location in perfect. We loved the neighborhood wine cellar and coffee shop. Walk to restauramts are always perfect. We adventured to Picazon and were delighted. We loved Sabon...their coconut cream margarita is amazing! It would be a great place for a larger group. Kyaking and paddle boarding were so fun and convenient. Cant wait ti go back!
