About Mandy

I love to travel around the world, learning different cultures and experiencing local life. I know how important a clean room, comfortable bed, convenient location (but don't have to spend a fortune for a hotel room) and friendly environment is for a traveler. That's why I am sharing my charming & cozy boat with you to let you experiencing the amazing floating beauty.

Mandy purchased this boat in 2013

Why Mandy chose Marina del Rey

I fell in love with Marina Del Rey when I first visited a friend who lives on the boat here. I like the idea of to get away from our busy daily routing and spend few nights on the boat to enjoy the quite and relaxing life style on boat in a beautiful marina. My family purchased this boat in June 2013 and we enjoyed every moment for our each visit.

What makes this boat unique

Walking or biking to coffees, restaurants, and beaches. Enjoy amazing sunset and peaceful water. Close to airport and some major attractions in West LA.

Fun! A memorable experience

  • 5 of 5

Our 4 year old loved it and will remember it forever. You don't often get to sleep on a boat! It was very clean and everything was in good working order. Perfect location for restaurants, beach, bike rental, and free safe parking included. But don't expect a 4 star hotel - you have the good and the bad of a boat like cramped spaces, a quick walk to bathrooms on the dock, and occasional sounds and smells of a marina. You do not want to use the bathroom on board except in emergencies. We stayed three days which was perfect - I think an extended stay might have felt a bit tiring. If you want an adventure and powerful memories then this is for you! Great for kids! (Including grown up kids like me!)

Peaceful slice of harbor paradise

  • 5 of 5

This was a fantastic stay! It was me 5'1, my husband 6', and our 2yr old boy and 4mo old girl. My husband did find the length of forward bed a little small but he just turned diagonally into me and was comfortable for our two night stay. The boats in good condition and you couldn't beat waking up to sunrise and unwinding after your day exploring Venice Beach or fisherman's village to the sunset right on the water what a win! We are even considering owning a boat in the distant future after our stay. Mandy could not meet us for transfer of keys but she had her neighbor do so and he was such a pleasant man very helpful and even gave some advice. The location was right near the start of bike path so we peddled to the beach and boardwalk easily. To the other side we were a 3min drive where we biked around Bruce chase park and started our hornblower cocktail cruise. If you are looking g for somewhere to reset, unwind, stay a short trip from a family or longer stay for a single/couple I highly recommend you consider a boat stay. The shower on boat was not adequate but that just meant we got a nice one min stroll on the docks to the bathrooms/showers. We enjoyed food we brought and kept in the fridge, heated in microwave, to keep our spending to a minimum and it was pleasant eating on the boat after the sunrise. We ventured up to Marina Del Rey from San Diego seeking a mental reset and this boat stay certainly help accomplish that. Highly recommend! We are probably gonna go back again sometime before April 2018. Thank you Mandy for the opportunity to stay in a boat, your hospitality, & for sharing g your slice of heaven on the sea with us.

Clean but tight Living area for 3+ people

  • 3 of 5

The boat was clean and functioned well except the holding tank needed to be emptied after the first day of nighttime only bathroom use. The living area was tight and being 6'4" it was not big enough for me to stand up except in the doorway. We removed the kitchen table to give us more room. The lower bed has a second board which kept falling in thruout the night. We were never able to get it to work. All of the appliances worked well. Nice quiet location and friendly neighbors.

Perfect for 2 people we had 3 it was a little crowded when we were all in the cubby

  • 3 of 5

The stay was nice, sleeping was great, having the showers in the yacht club not so great. There is a bathroom on the boat but no shower, and the women's restroom/shower at the yacht club was clean it only had one working shower and no water pressure.

Cozy and comfortable stay on a boat in Marina Del Rey

  • 4 of 5

It was everything hoped it to be. Rick was very helpful and friendly. He met us at the dock with the keys and took us through the specifics of the boat. We were not expecting a shower or deluxe accommodations. It was clean and cozy. The toilet, sinks, refrigerator and stove worked. We did not cook, but there was dishes and pots so that we could have. It would have been nice to have hot water, but that is coming in the future. It is an older boat and has some minor cosmetic issues, but the main concern I had was that it was clean, the beds were comfortable and no musty smell. I was happy in all these aspects. I would stay on the boat again. We did not need the shower because my daughters condo was within a 5 minute walk so we had a shower available to us.
