Originally designed as a European-style chalet, even the pickiest vacationer will find something to make them smile at the Grand View Lodge. Located on the wooded mountainside of Peak 8, it may not have a grand view, but it's perfect for nature lovers, and it's only 600 yards to the chairlift on Peak 8 for skiing. With 8 bedrooms of different configurations, many of which have their own thermostat controls, multiple families can stay here in perfect harmony. And, with so much to do here, from the new 8-person hot tub, to the pool table, to the media room with 80" projection TV, you'll have plenty to entertain you when you get home. Because of it's size and amenities like 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, and a large backyard with gazebo, it's great for special events like family get togethers, small weddings, and major anniversaries.

It's been VERY DIFFICULT to readjust to normal life AFTER our awesome Breckenridge Vacation the week of July 23rd thru 30th.
What a beautiful area to LIVE IN every day. If I had to move anywhere else in the USA, the Breckenridge Area of Colorado would be NUMBER ONE on my List. I will definitely be back again, probably in the next few years.
On behalf of my sister and our entire Family Group, THANK YOU for all you did to make our week even more wonderful and memorable than we could imagine. We will certainly contact you in the future and refer you and Season's Dreams to friends, co-workers and other family members. Although our 2011 Reunion is now History, we have unforgettable memories to hold on to…..and MORE vacations and reunions to look forward to in the years ahead.
My business group of 13 (men and women) stayed for two nights. The home was a great fit for us. Our group was comfortable as we handled group work projects and enjoyed our social time on the patio and in the basement.
Having the free ride shuttle just outside the home was an added bonus for us to get into town for dinner.
We enjoyed have a roomy kitchen and dining room as we prepared 4 meals together as well. The bedroom set up worked out too.
We needed a place for many adults, and this house was ideal. It has many bedrooms and an easy living area. It is very conveniently located, across the street from the Nordic Center and right on the bus route into town. Overall people were very happy, but several issues arose. The house is older and it has some problems. The most crucial is that two of the bedrooms have very poor heating, but they have space heaters, and that seemed to work well, once people figured out what was needed. Two of the bathrooms had issues. In one the shower didn't drain effectively and in another there was a faucet leak. One of the bedrooms had not been cleaned completely, and may not have had pillow cases changed. The main dishwasher does not clean dishes well, so they need to be extensively scrubbed before using the dishwasher. There was no laundry detergent. These issues were brought to the attention of the manager and he checked things out immediately. Overall, despite these minor issues, this was a very reasonable house for a large group. Clearly the management group is very responsive.
Overall the house was great for our large family, plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The best thing about the house was that it was very close to the bus stop. You can enjoy most of Breckenridge by bus and not actually need a car. Our group did have 3 cars but rarely used them except for grocery shopping. Make sure you take bags provided by Invited Home to the grocery store as they charge you 10 cents each bag if the store has to provide them. If you have a large group you might want to sign up for the discount card at City Market as it will save you a lot of money in the long run plus has fuel perks. Kids had a ball skiing, sitting in hot tub, sledding, ice skating, playing cards by the fireplace, watching movies on the big screen TV downstairs and dining out at some great restaurants in town. If you have small children I would suggest picking up at the grocery some paper or plastic plates, cups bowls, spoons as this house only has Papa Bear size breakable dishes. Would stay at this house again if we come back with the same group.
