Why Liisa Korpela chose Eugene

This property is centrally located next to downtown Eugene. Fantastic location, very accessible. This home is just down the street from us, convenient for family and friends when they visit. A sweet place to share with others looking to visit Eugene. Close to the University and the Whiteaker/ Brewery District.

What makes this house unique

This small home has tons of charm clean, light and airy with french doors opening to the outdoor patio from the den and master bedroom. Well maintained with open floor plan.

Guestbook comments from the manager

The property was well-maintained and in a fantastic location within Eugene. The campus was only a few blocks away and we were able to comfortably get to and from the game without much hassle at all. The accommodations also were updated and well-maintained, from the sheet thread count to the appliances. We comfortably slept 5 of us and will certainly consider staying here again.

Comfy and quiet with a lovely bright kitchen and dining area for breakfast and coffee

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the hardwood floors and modern kitchen, and especially the sunny dining area for gathering with the family. We know our way around pretty well and journeyed all over Eugene. There are fast ways to get everywhere from this house. The neighborhood is quiet and we slept well on the comfy bed. This comfy cottage is exactly as described, “Light, bright and clean home located on a quiet street in the hub of Eugene.” The owner, Liisa, is very friendly and helpful with her email instructions, and is the kind of person you like to support. We look forward to staying in this cozy spot again!

Awesome location. Modern updates.

Great house. Perfectly located close to the university and high schools where we were playing in a basketball tournament. Could use some extra pillows and blankets. Plenty of towels.

Pleasant experience

  • 4 of 5

Normally, during the holidays I rent a hotel room for three people for up to two weeks. Staying in the cottage for the duration of our visit was a wonderful alternative, allowing us to save money on food, laundry, and even traveling around the city due to its convenient location. My only critiques involve pillows and ants. I usually sleep with more pillows than the two that were provided for the beds, and would suggest to future guests that they consider bringing an extra if they're anything like me. During the winter, you may also want to consider bringing an extra blanket so you can snuggle on the couch (I brought my fleece blanket, and it was perfect!). As for the ants, that couldn't be helped due to the weather, but it was still a bummer to have to put out all of the provided ant traps for the duration of our stay. It was helpful to know ahead of time the parking situation, so we didn't accidentally park in the neighbor's driveway, and we really appreciated the effort Liisa put into making the cottage feel homey and providing Christmas decorations to use. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience and I hope to use this cottage again in the future when we come to Eugene.

Owner's Response: We are glad that you had a nice holiday stay at the cottage. I really appreciate any insights in how to make the place more comfortable and a couch blanket is a great suggestion. Also there were several extra pillows under the chaise lounge part of couch, not sure if you located those but maybe you needed more with all of your guests. I apologize about the ants, they are a nuisance in the neighborhood, and I will make sure that the house is well stocked with traps. Thanks for taking time to write a review and offer great suggestions. Glad the place worked out well for you as a holiday alternative.

Perfect Cottage for a Long Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We spent the Thanksgiving weekend with our son who is a student at Oregon and had to stay in town to play in the U of O band at the Civil War game. The cottage was roomy, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect and Cornucopia is a great little restaurant right around the corner. It was cool and rainy but there is a nice little backyard that we will definitely take advantage of if we return in warmer weather.

Comfy cozy cottage in a great location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay on this quiet street. We had a few dinners out on the patio. Everything we could ever need was provided at the house. The peace and quiet in the evening was fabulous as we had traveled from the east coast and would be extremely tired in the evening. The location is so close to some great restaurants and shopping. It's just close to everything.

There was an Oregon travel guide and even a topographical map of the area in the house, so we were able to get some great hikes and sightseeing in. We thoroughly enjoyed the scenic route off of Rt 126, going towards the town of Sisters. It's a view like none other!

It's obvious that a lot of thought has gone in to keeping the guests happy and comfortable, with every need being met. When you're traveling, it's the little things that really make a great stay. Thank you Liisa for all the effort! We greatly appreciate it.
