Wedding at Hyner View
We had a wedding at the Hyner View State park over the weekend. We were able to book this home and was so glad we did. We had ourself and then my daughter's family with two children. It was so nice to be able to cook and let them run around and get out side to throw ball, and watch a tractor. (high-light to a 2 year old boy:) We walked to the bakery (which was out of the famous rolls) but we got several other items that were so good. Enjoyed the stay and was close to everything.
I really enjoyed my extended stay of 4 months at this property! Kevin and Audrie are wonderful hosts! I was always comfortable, and they were always ready to help with anything I needed. The location was great for outings to state college and lock haven. Great country setting! Would definitely recommend to anyone!😊😊
100% as advertised!
Spacious accommodations with great yard & views at a reasonable price! Our stay was exactly what we were looking for! Close enough to several parks and charming towns - but far enough out to feel remote with peace & quiet. Close enough proximity to start our stay with the Penn State - Nebraska football game, but far enough to be away from the crowds. We went hiking mid-week, yard games and a few campfires with s'mores in the evening. Later in the week we prepared and enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner - and the kitchen was well furnished with the necessary essentials. The hosts were gracious and accommodating - right down to providing dry & aged fire wood (at a reasonable $5/wheel barrow full!) and providing additional chairs to be used around the campfire. Overall a great experience and we hope to be back again next year!
very good Accommodation's
Nice place to stay
Nice to Have a Whole House to Relax In
Fairly well maintained. Very clean. Most kitchen equipment available for cooking. Limited (9) channels on TV but DVD player (provided) occupied down time. Could have used a few clocks throughout the house, especially in the bedroom (no alarm). The only clock is on the microwave. Heat worked great, very comfy during cool nights. Water pressure was good. Coffee pot is a nice feature. Washer, dryer, and soap/softener available if needed. Overall very enjoyable (long) weekend spent.
Great place to stay!
We lived there for a month. The house was very clean and cozy and had all the amenities we needed. The internet worked flawlessly. There was a huge yard with a fire pit. The hosts Audrey and Kevin were very friendly and helpful. Across the yard there is a bakery open Thursday-Saturday, which you should check out. We commuted almost every day to State College, which is about 35-45 min of pleasant driving. The lake is about 15 min. Shopping centers (Walmart, Weiss, etc.) are nearby (less than 10 min). The wilds of Sproul State Forest are nearby. Overall, it was a great place to live which we definitely recommend .
Situated between Lock Haven University and Penn State University. About a 45 minute drive to Williamsport.
