If you are looking for a relaxing weekend getaway without all the cheesy nicknacks that you normally find in these farmhouse rentals, then this is your place! On the bottom floor: a full kitchen-great room, a full bathroom, and two bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a queen. On the top floor, there is a huge bedroom with 3 twin beds and one bathroom with a toilet, sink and tub.
Keywords: Sophistication and style meet the country in this remodeled, professionally decorated 1920's farmhouse. Fully-equipped kitchen, high quality linens and towels, your stay won't lack the 'creature comforts' you are used to at home.
We have 2 antique warehouses, both called Big Daddy's, one in Los Angeles and one in San Francisco. We were actually just voted, 'Best of L.A.' and 'Best of San Francisco'. This year we will be featured on the 'Housewives of Beverly Hills' as the source for most of the furniture that went into Lisa's new bar/restaurant. We also sell to Ralph Lauren stores and J Crew, just to name a couple and countless celebrities. Buying properties and putting them on VRBO has become a hobby for me now. We have 2 other rentals, a 320 acre ranch in Central California and a condo in Aspen Colorado. I really enjoy getting to know my guests and proudly say that 25%-40% of my business is repeat business. I concentrate on making sure my guests are happy and I take pride in the comfort of my properties and of course; the decor has to be just right. Feel free to call me: Kristine- 310-918-7001
Kristine Brown purchased this farmhouse in 2011
We have loved the Round Top area since we started going to the antique shows, but found it hard to find a place to stay so after talking about it for way too long, we finally said,'there has been too much talk!' and we bought a place.
We enjoy escaping the craziness of Los Angeles and relaxing in the country setting. I absolutely love that the sign as you enter Round Top says that the population is only 90. When your life is as busy as ours is, you need to get away every so often.
These guests said that there would be 2 in their party and then my neighbors called me reporting over 15 cars parked in the driveway. Eight cars spent the night after their inquiry said 2 people! Yes, I would say that the house was too small for that many people after my suggestion is that it comfortably sleeps 7. Geez! People continue to surprise me! I am blown away!
Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, we left feeling refreshed and relaxed. The home was absolutely beautiful, the decor was stunning and the pool was totally a bonus! We really didn't want to leave....but we plan on visiting again soon, I'm thinking girls weekend!!
The home was very close to Round Top which was awesome because we ate some really great food at the Stone Cellar and Royers (Splurge on the OMG Filet at Royers, you won't be dissapointed, it's a must eat when I'm in Round Top and don't miss the Fried Chicken on Sunday!) Friday night we ate at the The Oaks which was close to the house and served some really good food. Drove through the country and took in the fresh air and awesome scenery. Overall the weekend was exactly what this busy, career consumed, mom of 4 and dedicated police investigator needed to relax, disconnect and let go of the everyday stresses!
Thank you again Kristine! :)
As stated in other reviews, the beds were VERY comfortable. The home was very cozy, clean, and had tons of amenities. I loved the house! 3 kids stayed upstairs in the 3 twin beds - lots of room to play. Plus- a small private playroom upstairs for younger kids. 2 couples downstairs in nice bedrooms. The pool is GREAT! The pool was smaller than we were used to - but was plenty big for all of us. Definitely would recommend staying here.
My 4 sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The sleeping arrangements were perfect. The pool was awesome especially after a day of antiquing. I would definitely recommend this property.
This was a great house for us. Great kitchen facility with current appliances. Very comfortable beds for all.
Pool is small, 10 ft X 20 ft, but was great for an afternoon float and cooling off.
We would rent it again.
Stayed at the house for 5 days and enjoyed it so much. It was a great place to unwind and immerse yourself in the Round Top "culture". Would stay there again, for sure!
The house is just a few minutes drive from the town center of Round Top and the Festival Hill Concert hall.
