Overview

Zona Hotelera Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Come and stay at one of Cancun’s most exclusive newly renovated condos. The condo offers demanding views of the Caribbean Ocean. The condo is located in the famous hotel zone, yet offers all the amenities of home with a fully functional and newly renovated kitchen and bathroom, cable TV with LCD TV’s and much more. The private beach offers palapas and beach chairs perfect for relaxing and taking in the sun. An adult & children’s pool overlooks the Caribbean Ocean. A mini store catering to guests and owners is also located on the property. Jet skies, banana boat and parasailing are all available to guests on the private beach. Make your vacation one to remember by staying at this beautiful paradise.

Transportation:

Transportation to the condos can be arranged once you arrive at the airport. There are shuttle busses, van services and taxis that can be hired for a small fee to transport you to the condos. The van shuttle services charge approximately $15- $25 USD (negotiable) per person and will transport your luggage. Automobiles can also be rented at the airport from several car rental agencies. I do not recommend renting a car unless you are familiar with the city and plan to travel outside of the Cancun area. Most tourists travel around Cancun by bus or taxi. The public transportation system in Cancun is very safe and efficient. Busses pass by every five minutes and only cost about $0.70 USD. At the end of your trip the staff at Bellamar can arrange transportation back to the airport upon request.

Security:

The condo has 24 hour security staff located on the grounds. The condo complex is located in a very nice part of Cancun. The property is private and only guests and residents are allowed on the premises. The staff is very friendly and will help you with any questions. The condo complex is located behind the Hotel Barcelo Costa Cancun. Most people in the area are American, Canadian or European tourists.

Maid Service:

The condo will be cleaned prior to your arrival only. Maid services are available on a daily basis at an additional charge of $200 pesos($17 USD) per service. Request this service upon making your reservations and arrangements will be made.

About Nancy Myers

In 1995, I stayed in these condos with my 5 year old daughter to see if we could adjust to life in Mexico. By 1998, we were Cancun residents. We have been here for 15 years, I raised my family here and always said, one day I would own a condo in my Paradise. The apartment has recently been renovated and looks spectacular...but the view and the beach are really what sells this condo. There is nothing more beautiful than having the sun coming up in the Caribbean! There is SOO much to do in this area...we live 2 hours from one of the 7 Wonders of the World, Chichen Itza! Culture, beach, nightlife, fine restaurants, turquoise waters...this is why I came to Cancun!

Nancy Myers purchased this condo in 1998

Why Nancy Myers chose Cancun

The apartment is recently renovated. I have owned there since 1998 and finally redid the kitchen and the bathroom. With the beach and pool right downstairs, there is not that much time to spend in the apartment. Most of my time is spent on the balcony, looking at Isla Mujeres. It is fully equipped and offers all the comforts of home. I live close by so I can always help with whatever needs you might have. I am a Registered Nurse from New York so I am familiar with Health related issues as well. You only need to be here once to realize you have your own Paradise!

What makes this condo unique

I am very hands on if you need me. I give personal care to all of the guests that stay in my condo. I have many repeat guests because of the treatment they get while staying with me. Waking up every morning and looking at the water is breath-taking! The sand is soft and white and NEVER gets hot. You look at Isla Mujeres and the biggest flag in Mexico flies outside your balcony. Nothing compares!

Exceptional Stay

  • 5 of 5

I stayed 5 nights, specifically to go scuba diving and snorkeling

with whale sharks (highly recommended -- I booked through Scorpio Divers,

a small, friendly dive op located across Blvd Kukulcan from the condo).

I'm SO glad I found this condo, as it made my trip vastly better than any

of the alternatives I had been considering.

I stayed in a different unit than what's pictured, but it had

a very similar look. The condo isn't going to feature in

Architectural Digest, but it's very casual, comfortable,

and beach-oriented. The condo was clean, but well-worn

(not worn out) -- some chips on furniture, a loose handle,

a bit of rust -- again, think beach house.

The view is extraordinary, better than the photos: 270 degree

panorama of sea, sand, boats, the pirate ships, ferry to Isla

Mujeres, etc. The beach photos in the listing are literally right

beneath your windows. The beach is private, but you're next door

to the Barcelo, jet ski rentals, party boats, helicopter rides,

ferry, etc.

The fantastic location, though, brings some noise. This

isn't the place for pristine silence (not sure any place in Cancun

is), but at least you'll have escaped the mega resorts with some

activity director blaring into a megaphone about the sexy legs

contest ("Everybody say yeah!" "YEAH!!!"). With the windows open,

you can hear the partying, jet skis, kids on the beach, etc.

With the windows closed and the AC on, I could tune almost everything out,

although the pirate ships were loud enough to make

me grateful to be in my own private condo, watching the pretty ships

go by, rather than being onboard surrounded by deafening music and

drunken revelry.

I was there at the hottest time of year, and the AC worked well.

You can also get a nice breeze with the door open. As mentioned

in other reviews, the owner Nancy provides an electricity credit

and only charges extra if you exceed that (which I didn't).

Nancy, btw, is adorable. I felt like I was dealing with

a beloved aunt or cousin. Aside from a couple email mix-ups,

she was an absolute joy to work with.

The rate description says taxes are extra, but Nancy didn't charge

me anything extra.

Owner's Response: Thank you, Alan for the nice review of the apartment and location and for your kind words you had for me. You were an absolute pleasure to work with. I hope you return to Cancun for another diving adventure and to spend some more time in the apartment. Thanks again! Nancy

Nice place

  • 4 of 5

We spent a week down in Cancun over Easter break. It was nice. The weather was perfect, the pool was clean and nice and the condo was very functional. The beach was nice, but there was not much of a real swimming area, the water is like knee deep, and there was lots of seaweed. There were some issues with the nightly noise. The party boat, The Dancer, came in at 10 PM, went back out at 12 and back in at 3:00 am. It was a floating nightclub! It was extremely loud and disrupted every night for us. Lucky our baby slept through it. There were other people visiting as well, and everyone had the same feelings about the Dancer. Some of the residents that spend months down there were used to it, but for us, it was a rude awakening. Because of this, we needed to keep our windows and doors closed at night, and led to a $60 electric bill at the end of the week that was unexpected. I was also a little upset about paying a $20 paypal fee to get my deposit back. There are other outlets to use for free. We really did have a great time, and the beach was safe, and quiet during the day. The local food around was cheap and good, and the buses come every two minutes right outside the condo. Nancy, Laura and Reuben were great to deal with, but I wanted to bring the attention of the noise up, it was a real annoyance.

Owner's Response: Sorry for the noise dilemma, but Cancun is a big party place for Spring Break and I have no control over the noise factor. The $20 PayPal fee was noted in your first e-mail that this is a deduction from your security deposit. It was deducted from your deposit when I received your reservation deposit. At no time were you told you wouldn't get your security deposit back. Please check your e-mails to confirm this. According to the electric meter, the a/c was running more than through the night...in your first e-mails, you will see that I mentioned that for those guests that rent weekly, I give you a $300 peso credit towards the electric; anything you use after that is your responsibility. Please check your e-mails to confirm this. Sorry for the inconveniences but I am glad you enjoyed your stay in the apartment.

Amanda & Kristin's getaway

  • 5 of 5

We spent 4 days in Cancun in January for a mom's getaway. We had a great time! Nancy was helpful, the condo had everything we needed, and the location was wonderful. We were out exploring everyday and were only at the condo to sleep and check in with our families. The internet was fast enough for Skype and the beds were comfortable. The weather was nice enough that we didn't need the air conditioners and had no problems with bugs. The views were beautiful! The only downsides were loud party ships docked nearby, and I had been daydreaming of a bigger, more swimmable beach.

We walked to restaurants every day. Coco's & Grill was our favorite, they made us killer margaritas and delicious Ceviche. Dolcemente was pretty good, and the little place attached to the Oxxo across the highway was great.

We walked to the port nearby and booked a tour of Tulum and a Cenote, and walked back to the port and took the ferry to Isla Mujeres. We rented bikes there - it was exhausting! If I had a do-over, I'd get in a cab and go to Playa Lancheros. Their beach was wonderful and there was good food, drinks, and hammocks!

Anyways, Nancy was helpful and fun to talk to, the men at the front gate of the condo were helpful, and we had a great trip.

Second time to this condo - Wonderful vacations !

  • 5 of 5

It's our second time at Nancy's condo for 1 month. We love it. It's a special place. The view is wonderful. Everythings is close, you don't need car. Laura and her husband who works for Nancy, are always there if you have trouble with somethings in condo. The staff are nice too. The condo is refreshing decor and spotless, given all the amenities. We recommend to rent this condo if you want to have great time and long time...

We asked things last year and Nancy provided what we asked. Hope next year the mosquito's screen will be put to every Windows...

We love this condo so we will return in December for 1 month or 1 month and 1/2...

Nancy thank you to enjoy your great condo ! See you soon.
