What makes this condo unique

Thanksgiving has become a Sanibel family tradition, and Christmas on the island is so magical.

We love to bike all over - even up to Capitva for lunch at the Bubble Room. Dinner at the Mucky Duck is always a treat. Kayaking around the Bay is so beautiful and peaceful. And the beach is unforgetable.

The kitchen is fully-equipped for Thanksgiving dinner, and it's great to have the laundry so handy. The WIFI and phones make it easy to keep up with the world. We love it here and hate to leave. :-(

My brother and I brought our families to Loggerhead Cay for a beach vacation and had a blast. The complex is easy to get to from the airport - straight across from the stop sign when you hit the island.

Unit 122 has a great full beach view and 572 has an angled beach and direct pool view so it was easy for adults to keep an eye on the kids in the pool. The condos are nicely decorated and steps to the beach and the pool.

We had a challenge getting tennis time til we figured out the sign-up sheet - if you like to play watch for when it's posted. We tried our hand at surf-casting and the kids had a blast and caught some pretty good-sized fish. Get bait at the grocery store at the main intersection before you head out to Captiva.

The beach goes for miles in each direction and we enjoyed our morning runs. You can go forever if you want. We rented two kids bikes to go with the two adult bikes per unit the owners provided. It worked out pretty well. The kids wanted us to rent a couple more kid bikes, but we wanted to keep an eye on them. We ended up keeping them busy most of the time.

Each condo has a kitchen with all the appliances and utensils you can use. We were told to shop at a grocery store off-island on our way from the airport, and that was good advice. We got things for snacks, breakfasts and lunch and ate out most nights. But we had a fine two-family dinner on the lanai in Unit 122 overlooking the water. The Dads & helpers grilled steaks and fish on the outdoor grills and the Moms & other helpers set up stuff indoors.

For eating out, we all loved the Island Cow but when the island is busy, consider going early. There are a ton of other nice places. The adults liked the Timbers, the kids prefered DQ, which is close by. We found a neat breakfast place for the adults on Periwinkle down toward the lighthouse.

We biked all over, sat on the beach, splashed in the pool, rented kayaks one day, spent an afternoon up at Captiva, and had our own kite fight. There's a ton to do.

Oh, and check out the Sanibel Fitness Center. It's open to the public and you can get a family pass. VERY reasonable. We discovered it on Friday, but I would have gone every day had I known about it. It's after the school on the main road out to Captiva. It's great for the fitness nut.

We hope to make this a family tradition. Loggerhead is a great fun, family place and Sanibel is such a wonderful, unspoiled island.

Great view, great location

We simply could not have asked for a better view from the screened-in lanai. Literally steps from the beach and very close to the main shops and restaurants in Sanibel. Kitchen was well appointed with the necessities for cooking, etc. Beach chairs, towels and bikes were a nice touch. Parking was convenient. Check in/out was simple and leasing office was helpful and responsive when we had questions. Only downsides? The master bed was not very comfortable and was noisy when we shifted. But a small detail in an otherwise wonderful stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Location, Location, Location

Well appointed condo in close proximity to beach, in heart of Sanibel. Condo has great view of sunrises, and easy path to beach. Everything you need is here, from beach chairs and umbrella to bicycles. We lacked nothing; dishwasher. clothes washer/dryer, all cooking utensils necessary. Screened lanai offered outdoor seating with no bugs to worry about. WE would definitely consider this unit for a future stay.

Beautiful condo. Gracious owner

Everything was wonderful. Had three days of no access to elevator which was a challenge but we made do. I can’t think of anything that could have been added to make our stay more perfect.

Beautiful location

We loved the seashell beach, large pool, & tennis courts. Condo was a great size & had an amazing view. Washer & dryer in unit, bikes, king size bed in master & enclosed patio to keep out mosquitoes were big plusses.

We did wish the master bdrm had a "real" door rather than an accordion style one. It was challenging to put toddler down for a nap, that style door doesn't seal away noise. Full size bed in guest room must be replaced. There is a noticeable dip in the middle, not comfortable. No one cared for the beach chairs provided. They tipped back too far, 2 were a bit rusty, & tricky to adjust. We also would've liked bigger TV's in the living room & master bedroom. Lastly, the dishwasher was very loud.

Location is this condo's best asset. Sanibel is beautiful. Experiencing kayaking through the mangrove forest was worth the trip.

We apparently came during the rainy season and had a day to spend indoors. I'm so glad there were games and puzzles. We managed to put a puzzle together during a pretty severe storm that lasted for hours.

The island is lush and quiet compared to Fort Myers Beach. We found some excellent restaurants. Shelling was great since we did have some severe storms. The pool was very nice for the days that we couldn't spend in the gulf due to the waves.

I give this condo and location a big thumbs up.

Beautiful beachfront view

Clean spacious 2 bedroom condo with wonderful views of the Gulf and beach from the screened in porch. Perfect place to stay for 4 adults -two aged 50 plus, one age 18 and one 21. Easy beach access, large kitchen, laundry facilities. Close bike ride to the best of Sanibel. Property management team friendly and "can do". Cant wait to return.

Sanibel is known for its World-Class shelling beaches. Enjoy the salt-water Gulf or the large heated Loggerhead Cay pool - excellent for both children and lap swimming. Tennis & shuffleboard also on site. Walk, bike or drive to other activities on the island ..... or even bike to Captiva for lunch if you are ambitious.


To confirm your reservation, we require a security deposit equal to the greater of 10% or $250, plus a reservation fee by Mastercard or Visa. Any damages or repairs needed should be reported to our local property manager immediately. The security deposit will be refunded shortly after your departure unless your party causes damage to our home. The deposit does not limit a guest’s liability for damages they might cause.

Final payment of remaining balance is due 45- 60 days (depending on the term) prior to your arrival date by personal or certified check. You will not receive a balance due reminder, so please mark your calendar to send the balance by the due date.
