Cutest little place! Spent my birthday here and had the greatest time. It was so relaxing and right in the city where we were never far from anything! So glad we were able to find it on a short notice and Mrs. Janice was so plesent to work with! The washer and dryer was out while we were there but she was more than welcome to take our clothes to be washed for us! Loved it here and made our experience so much better!
We had an amazing stay! The cottage has everything that you need and Janet makes sure that you have what you need by checking in with you!
We plan on coming back!
Entered the cottage and was overwhelmed with a strong MUSTY smell! The cottage was cute but could use a new love seat. We wished for live TV. We arrived after dinner time so we took a walk to find something to eat . We went out Broad Street and a police car was there so we went over for suggestions. They asked what we were doing here-and said to not go any farther east and to take a taxi back home after we are done!!! Savannah it self was a charming city walked all over. River Street was lovely and dinner cruise was fun met family and danced.
Did take advantage of the washer and dryer!
The back deck was not comfortable to sit back there pictures are very deceiving you looked closely into somebody's backyard !!
The Architect's Cottage was the perfect place to stay for our first visit to Savannah. It is convenient to the Historical District and
trolley stops. We only used our car once for a trip to Kroger's, walking and using the trolley to travel around the City. The Cottage was just as the reviews stated; clean, neat and appointed with everything needed for a stay in Savannah. Janet, the owner, was in touch with us daily to make sure our needs were met. You can tell that Carmen takes special care preparing the cottage for guests. We definitely recommend the Architect's Cottage and would certainly stay there on a second visit.
We used the cottage as a base to explore the historic downtown area of Savannah.
Position is ideal, easy walk to centre, good provision stores are close.
The cottage is small, but well equipped and very pleasant .Highly recommended.
Overall we were satisfied with our stay at the Achitect's Cottage. It is within easy walking distance of resturants and historic sites. It was clean and well stocked with needed items for bath, kitchen and laundry. Never having rented from VRBO before, the total cost of the rental was much more than the stated rent on the site, with all the added in charges. I was well aware that the apartment had Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Fire. Never having experience with these products, yes I am from the boonies, I was disappointed that I could not watch the Olympics. In other words, no broadcast TV. Make sure you look through the whole binder that the owner has available, some very useful information.
Savannah, GA is beautiful, historic and artistic.
Founded in 1733, Savannah was the new world's first planned community. Wander through twenty-two squares landscaped in azaleas and live oaks dripping in Spanish moss.
Every major event in US history touched the city. Visit a Revolutionary War Battlefield and the house Gen. Sherman occupied during the Civil War.
Used as the location of many major motion pictures (Forrest Gump, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Something to Talk About, etc.), it is now the location of the Savannah Film Festival every fall. And in the spring is the Savannah Music Festival.
Fifteen miles from the Atlantic Ocean at Tybee Island, GA, and two and a half hours from Charleston, SC, Savannah is perfectly located to enjoy all manner of recreation. Savannah is a perfect vacation spot for every interest in your family.
