Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary getaway. The location of the cottage is perfect; just a short walk for shopping and restaurants, however far enough away for it to be peaceful and quiet on the back deck. The owner had everything we needed at the cottage, including information about Savannah and checked in with us as we arrived. We would and will be staying here again!

Lovely Cottage, Convenient Location

  • 5 of 5

The Architect's Cottage makes great use of a small amount of space and has everything you need for a comfortable stay in historic Savannah - plenty of fridge and freezer space (along with stove and microwave), a nice sitting area, bedroom, and large bathroom. Lots of lighting and mirrors really made the space feel larger than it is. It is located on a quiet street just a few blocks from the main drag of Liberty Street and a very short and easy drive to River Street and anywhere else in the historic district. Janet was very responsive and made us feel most welcome. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Cottage was as described - cozy, but comfortable. Great base location for walking around Savannah.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our three night stay in the Architect's Cottage. It is truly a fit for just two. Having a designated parking place was a real plus. We only drove the car for a day trip to Tybee Island.

It was our first trip to Savannah and we felt safe walking from the cottage over to Bull Street even at night.

The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had most everything that we needed. It took us a while to find the electrical outlet in the bathroom. FYI it is on the left side of the vanity and is not easily seen from the middle of the room.

The guest binder said we would find extra towels in the closet, but there were none. We then learned from Janet that we each got a face towel and bath towel set. There was one hanging hand towel that we shared. We suggest packing extra towels if you think you'll need more.

Having the washer and dryer was another great plus. We sent Janet a text to let her know there was so laundry detergent. She responded quickly and brought us some the next morning.

We think that for the price, the Architect's Cottage was a great place to stay.

Very pleasant, cute and comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

The house was very clean and comfortable. Everything was as pictured and described. Very conveniently located parking spot (on the same street as the house) a short walk from the house. Quiet street and pleasant neighbors. Great amenities and kitchen supplies available. Janet was very helpful and pleasant to work with. The bed was comfortable and supportive. Appliances were modern and the house was well lit. We felt that privacy could be improved at the backdoor with the addition of an inside curtain. We didn't get use of the porch due to a lack of privacy, however we didn't mind as we were mostly enjoying the beautiful city and its sights which were only a short walk away. Overall we were very pleased and would definitely stay again!

Owner's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed Architect's Cottage and found the neighborhood convenient and the neighbors friendly! Did you see that the bedroom door (blackout) curtain is actually outside? It gets tucked back and I worry that people may miss it. Thanks for the nice review!

Savannah, GA is beautiful, historic and artistic.

Founded in 1733, Savannah was the new world's first planned community. Wander through twenty-two squares landscaped in azaleas and live oaks dripping in Spanish moss.

Every major event in US history touched the city. Visit a Revolutionary War Battlefield and the house Gen. Sherman occupied during the Civil War.

Used as the location of many major motion pictures (Forrest Gump, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Something to Talk About, etc.), it is now the location of the Savannah Film Festival every fall. And in the spring is the Savannah Music Festival.

Fifteen miles from the Atlantic Ocean at Tybee Island, GA, and two and a half hours from Charleston, SC, Savannah is perfectly located to enjoy all manner of recreation. Savannah is a perfect vacation spot for every interest in your family.
